@@taoforte8988 Well they technically didn’t like each other because one was from Stapleton and the other from Park Hill. That’s a fact…but Rae wasn’t shooting at Ghost lol.
Divine says in Of Mics and Men that him and Raekwon were best friends from childhood. So they def changed shit in the show to drive home the Stapleton vs park hill beef.
Notice how they low key pay homage to MC Eiht, not just cus he’s in the video but the timing of which they show him at 2:18 while ghosface says dedicated to niggas who do drive by’s. Which is a nod to Comptons most wanted “music to drive by”

@@lucius-artoriuscactussince he didnt respond imma try to phrase this as best as i can because that line always gets me too.. in the previous lines Ghost was talking about what he wants for himself. Dreams & ambitions. However, as hard as he's trying to get there, he's still in the same place he's been and hasn't made the progress he hoped for. It could also be a double-entendre meaning that this same place he's stuck in helps him "find himself" so that he can grow and succeed. This is probably my favorite Ghostface verse of all time and it always makes me feel some type of way.

“Sunshine plays a major part in the daytime”
Peace to mankind Ghostface carry a black 9
went on to write a song dedicated to the sun. ghost is a treasure.
Getting high and listening to this with Subwoofers, made my entire life, never will I experience so many emotions that ran through my entire head and body, feeling the bass shake through my bones and catching myself nodding my heat to the beat. I was so at peace.
👐🏻 Wu-Tang Forever 👐🏻
Best era of my life. Music will never be the same. Life was so simple back then. No social media. Just school, friends, music and having fun
Its crazy how many people come back to this everyday... this song is a masterpiece!
yo gladys knight got me in my feels fr
some real Hiphop shit right here
Yes
amir syeed indubitably
The fact Rza had beats like this back in ‘93 is why he’s top 5 producer of all time. He influenced cats like Kanye and madlib for sure. Kanye took the torch from Rza and madlib came out of nowhere with 🔥. Peace ✌️
Agree, those 3 are probably the most creative samplers of all time, pinata is one of the only albums that really holds up against the best of 90s imo
Dr Dre stands alone and he also influenced Ye.
Can’t forget justblaze

This beat deadly
This track brings tears to my eyes. I remember when Wu- Tang debuted, I thought their music was so fresh and original. My life was simple then. It's also kind of eerie seeing all the members together , especially the late great ODB.
R.I.P. ODB.... Respect to ya fam.
Damn, after watching the Wutang Saga, I still cant believe Raekwon & Ghostface was beefing like that, their chemistry is like no other, "Only Built For Cuban Linx" is proof
You know that never happened? It's all made up
@@taoforte8988 Well they technically didn’t like each other because one was from Stapleton and the other from Park Hill. That’s a fact…but Rae wasn’t shooting at Ghost lol.
@Jersey City definitely not, and I'm from Ferry St
Divine says in Of Mics and Men that him and Raekwon were best friends from childhood. So they def changed shit in the show to drive home the Stapleton vs park hill beef.
Word. It makes me appreciate these 2 way more
Such an eerie video. Love how everything is moving in slow motion. Perfectly captures the vibe of dark inner city streets
+FriendlyWalrus Love those grimey Wu videos.
it is!
+FriendlyWalrus For real.
+FriendlyWalrus Hype Williams best work imo
this video is great. I love it.
I feel like it's "the calm before the storm" in the U. S. Right now..….

@@kamikazeducky3841 aww I wanna give u a hug Hunnybunny. I can guess u don't subscribe 2 the other b.s out here 😊
Notice how they low key pay homage to MC Eiht, not just cus he’s in the video but the timing of which they show him at 2:18 while ghosface says dedicated to niggas who do drive by’s. Which is a nod to Comptons most wanted “music to drive by”
Wow. That’s crazy. I never noticed it
The Wu used to be all up in Cali off Sunset Blvd back in the 90's.
@@drfixit1554 I can’t think of not 1 rapper from the west coast who had beef with wu tang at that time.

I still remember the night I saw C.R.E.A.M. come out on BET for the first time. I was 15. It was like watchin your new fav super hero...and it was a bunch of 'em as one. A bunch o' storytellin' street kung fu masters. The method of delivery by each member was unparalleled. In a sense, it's humbling to be a part of that early 90s era, looking back. Wordsmiths these men...masters of their craft. 💯🔥
Hype Williams really brought this song to another level. the visuals are amazing. especially the slow mo shots fit the song perfect
Firmfiasco i figured it was a hype production 💯🔥
Falling in love with Wu Tang all over again!!! Thanks to An American Saga Wu Tang 😍 🇬🇧
Ghostface verse......if you really pay attention to what he's sayin!
IS ONE OF THE REALIST RAP VERSES YOU'LL EVER HEAR IN YOUR LIFE.
It is if you really in the street 😉

in the streets or not, he was hoping for, praying for, wishing for, wanting, positive change in his life ,word to Sam Cooke, versus what he was currently living and seeing and doing in and with his life...

"Because I find myself in a place where I'm last seen" ... everyone goes through something in life sometimes BUT EVERYTIME I hear Ghostface Killah say that part, it makes me cry inside. WU TANG FOREVER
What do you mean?
Tough up soft ass lil boy 😂🤣
@@lucius-artoriuscactussince he didnt respond imma try to phrase this as best as i can because that line always gets me too.. in the previous lines Ghost was talking about what he wants for himself. Dreams & ambitions. However, as hard as he's trying to get there, he's still in the same place he's been and hasn't made the progress he hoped for. It could also be a double-entendre meaning that this same place he's stuck in helps him "find himself" so that he can grow and succeed. This is probably my favorite Ghostface verse of all time and it always makes me feel some type of way.
I been feeling depressed lately, I come her n bump this to reminisce about the good Old days back when some ppl i knew were still alive and things in my life were better I'm glad I'm alive now but I do miss those days there was more light than darkness, I still have hope for a happier future, Wu tang forever

Watching the show is actually inspiring, they had to overcome so many obstacles even when they had form the group and recorded song. They would still have a née obstacle in front of them. If you have a vision of your dream chase it! Don’t let it die keep grinding you’ll get there.

Wow, just realized M.C. Eiht was in the video. WU was/is beyond coasts, nationalities, genres , generations, just pure good solid music for the revolution even if it’s just your own.
Where? Eiht and Wu r some of my fav artists

Yep he was also in Ol Dirty's video (Shimmy Shimmy Ya). He was good friends with the Wu.
when I just saw it, I scrolled through comments to see if someone else peeped it.
He was also in the Protect Ya Neck video in 93, with Pun and Joe in 98, rocking with Redman in 94
This track came out the year I was born and remember when I was 6 years old and heard it the first time on a cassette. So glad I grew up on lyrics like this. Rae and Ghostface are definitely chemistry that is rare to find. I came here and felt good finding that they are young people that are discovering Wu after watching the series. There is hope for the new generation if they are influenced by real hip-hop. Even tho I am white and come from a very small country called Bulgaria, I feel so connected to all you people that appreciate real music. Bless you all! Peace God!
Bless you to brother! The fact that you can feel and appreciate this song all the way from eastern Europe is a testament to your character. You have depth to you... stay true to who you are!
This beat was so sick. Listening now in 2021 and I still feel the same way about it when I first heard it back in 93. 🔥🔥💯
