No probability about it. In my book Burnside and Kimbrough are the two kings of this music genre, which gave way to heavy metal and much more. Rock Gods in their own right!
Joe Johnson I KNOW CEDRIC PUTTING THEM DRUMS THREW HELL... NEVER FORGET THESE EPIC GUZ NOTHING LIKE BEING AT THE SHOW...DANCED SO MUCH I LOST 3PDS OVER NIGHT...CRAY CRAY LOL..✌💜
Had the pleasure of meeting his grandson at a jazz and blues fest in Winnipeg. Talked about his grandfather and how he was and is an influence on my guitar journey. ❤
This is so ahead of its time it could have been made last week, just amazing,he's got more swag coming out of his picking fingers than most people have coming from their whole bodies. The hookiest riff going.
It's taken me 10 years to find this exact version of this track on Vinyl and i have found it for £2 in a shop. I'm In the UK and Burnside is a legend. I hold this record close to my heart ❤️
@@maxxengland8745 I always thought he said Septic I was thinking who the fuck calls someone Septic. And it's Cedric lol. Over here we struggle to understand but man I love my Burnside..
The Black Keys and Mississippi All-stars are the direct music disciples of RLB. The tuning in conjunction with that locomotive thumbing is a signature of blues. Granted, he doesn't do that in this song, but this is another example of what a badass and innovator of sound he was. Beast at all times.
GodDAMN this just crushes like a guitar sledgehammer from the best part'a hell! what a riff, I felt ten years younger dancing the second this came on for the first time for me
I live in California but grew up with cotton picking and chopping going on all around our house...brings back those memories... sloughs full of fish, turtles, snakes and the smell of the med.
Wow... A friend that jams to rap n head banger music.... Puts on different music when I show up..... N ... R L Burnside came up.... How did I not know his music??? Dam I have a GREAT FRIEND!!!!!!
My Favorite Blues player. Love his music, and every time I listen to him it makes me tear up. His music is inspiring and brings back childhood memories.
I remeber first time I heard this it was on a documentry and I was blown away and I got up out my seat and drove to about 3 music stores till I could find the CD. Amazing !
@heberthybr Hey, me too! I saw this once back in the mid-90's late at night on MTV (back when they still played videos), forgot who it was and have been looking for it ever since. Good job cazootti.
OH MAN I Always thought the lyrics were On Drums Septic Burnside for some reason. I have found out its Cedric His grandson and I've found a whole new world of Burnside. What a fool I've been..
Probably one of the most underrated blues men ever. Right up there with Muddy, John Lee, Robert Johnson, Son House.
absolutely

Yes💥
Bukka!
@@rodpadgett415 Better than hard rock -no comparison. Shredding and loud 'music' lacks sophistication and theme. No style. It's noise.
his grandson just flat kicks ass as a drummer...Cedric, you go boi !!!

I love R.L. and Junior Kimbrough, who sadly have both deceased. This northern MS hill country blues is different, and magically danceable!

I love this album, but remember it is not his original work, but a re-mix.
