Nancy Wilson performs "The Folks Who Live on the Hill" on The Carol Burnett Show Watch more of The Carol Burnett Show: CarolBurnettSho... vevo.ly/8xD6wP
@@TajahCooksandActs I started listening to Nancy and buying her albums when I was a teenager (1960s). My first live Nancy experience was at the (long gone ) Ritz in NYC. Most of my Nancy shows were at the Blue Note. I was really fortunate to see Nancy's last NYC show in 2011 at BB Kings (which sadly closed a few years ago.).
What a terrific performance by a sublime stylist. And, talk about pipes. Blessed to have seen her more than 10 times in concert, twice at functions and at a one hour business meeting. What a wonderful smart, funny and gorgeous woman. Thank God for video and recordings. Even so, I miss her.
Wow…I was just watching old Carol Burnet reruns, and she was the musical guest, singing this song. What an absolutely beautiful song. Her voice is sublime! 🫠
Sung with all the grace and elegance this beautiful song deserves. It brought back so many wonderful memories of years long ago an also a tear to my eye.
Masterful performance. Right after this I was hit with an ad for Dua Lipa. Really disappointing bring-back to this era. I think I'll just go and watch some more Nancy Wilson and try to forget.
Nancy's elegance and gorgeous voice will never be equalled. I saw her in concert 20+ times. Each was magnificent. I still miss her.
I miss her too and fellow concert goers like you who I loved her and her music as much as I did. Those were good times.
Lucky you!
Hear hear
You lucky son of a gun😤 Do you mind sharing when you first saw Ms. Nancy and the venue she performed at?

One of the greatest singers that ever lived. Her voice is similar to Dinah Washington.
And THAT, Ladies & Gentlemen, is HOW it's done :)
Nancy Wilson and Marlena Shaw are my favourite singers.

Flawless, and she looked so beautiful. Saw her at the Coconut Grove on my prom night, it was memorable to say the least.

Gorgeous gown. It looks like a wedding gown.
Fabulous job. This is my favorite song of all time and Nancy did an amazing job. I still prefer Peggy Lee's version but this comes pretty close.
