Just heard this at the end of lessons in chemistry and I knew it was her right away !and had to look her up and hear it just one more time. Love y’a Nancy
I lived in this part of the world for 3 decades but it took Lessons in Chemistry to lead to this gem. There were more good music in the show but this really got my attention. I don't mind she slowing it down but I do prefer the record version. The show is good too.
My 11 year old boy heard this song in a commercial and kept telling me “there’s this song that says My love has no beginning, my love has no end, and I really love how it sounds.” So I looked it up and I have to say, I’m in love with it too. Thank you to my boy for introducing me to the lovely Nancy Wilson! ❤
@@s.michelejohnson655 Thank you ! Watched that video, she really is an amazing performer. I’ve heard her name before but never heard her voice. So glad to discover her!
This was a Grammy winning top 10 US Billboard Hot 100 hit in 1964. It was covered in 1975 by Kiki Dee. Nancy Wilson was one of the best loved jazz vocalists of the 60s and 70s who recorded on Capitol Records. She recorded over 60 albums before her death in 2018. Another big hit US Top 10 hit was Face it Girl, It's Over which was featured in a Tom Cruise movie. She was known for her sultry laid back style and recorded many excellent covers of contemporary hits as well as original material. Check out more clips on You Tube and check out some of her albums- she had such a unique distinctive singing style.
Just finished watching the last episode of season 1 Lessons in Chemistry and heard this song...Came straight to RUclips to find her and Bam!!! So glad I did. What a Beautiful Songstress and Song Ms. Wilson ❤❤🙏🏽💐🙏🏽💐
We used to see Nancy Wilson around town. She lived in Baldwin Hills, Los Angeles. I remember her to be a very gracious lady. Always had a kind word and a smile. She was beautiful inside as well as out.
I was a young teen when I first heard this song and usually only listened to Motown music. Have to thank Charles for helping me expand my taste in music. Now I listen to and appreciate all genres including classical and even Country. Love Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Chris Stapleton!
My late mum was a rare lady, she could WHISTLE! I have never met many women who could do that. Ayway she was always whistling or singing this song in her beautiful voice and I never knew what it was until I searched hard for it after her death. Every time I hear this I think of her and my life growing up with her and dad. Thank you Nancy
I knew one woman when I was a teenager that was a world class whistler! She was my best friend's mom and she used to put on a John Phillip Sousa record and whistle all the piccolo parts ... while vacuuming! She turned the music loud enough to be heard over the vacuum, then she'd start the vacuum and started whistling along and her whistle soared over the music and the vacuum! Since I can't whistle to save my life, I was duly impressed. My friend just shrugged her shoulders and said, "That? My mom always does that when she vacuums."
I myself am 72 an oldie but a goodie’s girl! I’m also a rocker from zeppelin Beatles & stones days. My older sister always played Nancy Wilson so I’m a fan of r&b any type of tunes country too. I’ve played it all drinking dancing hanging mostly with 1 favorite sister & our kids as they grew. Memories I love & pray I instilled good old r&b in them and they too pass it down the line. Music is Like ice cream any bad day can turn good if it’s added. Thx for the memories Nancy God love ya!!

Her improvisations on this song are wonderful. I wish today's vocalists were as accomplished.
