Steve, thank you boss. Actually had the same issue a year ago and we tried everything but was unable to remedy it. They had to bring Trane in to investigate. I appreciate you for sharing your knowledge big guy!

That setup is pretty cool. I need to find one of those touchscreens for the Tranes. I have several restarauns that have Tranes wig the RTRM boards(I believe that’s what it’s called) and I saw where you can plug the touchscreen into the board to see all the errors instead of counting flash codes. Good stuff Steve O!

I agree with you, Steve. 50 feet of coiled up tubing seems excessive and you'd think it would cause a pressure drop and inaccurate measurements. I would have done the same-have a small drip loop and cut it so that there is just a little extra.

Hi, great content. The Trane IOM says only use what is required for the tubing and discard the rest. Trane gets those kits from Dwyer

Thanks, Dan! That is from Dwyer, and I was just reading what they sent, not the Trane IOM.

I think the intention is for it to act like a buffer. But I also just cut the tubing to the right length and it never has seemed to make any difference.

That rainbird looks like something someone 3D printed at home. If all it's doing is being an overpriced pipe to give an atmospheric air pressure feed to a transducer through some crap plastic pipe that will harden and crack within a couple years - I'd be inclined to just bin the thing - replace the flooded transducer, run a copper pipe to the outside to get the reference.
But of course, customer equipment under warranty, have to go with the manufacturer replacement parts that cost several limbs to purchase and will fail again in short order.
It's depressing being a tech and seeing how easily things could be better made so they last longer than a gnat's fart.

😆 I don’t disagree with you. Thanks, chillybrit
