Hey Motheo. Thanks buddy, really appreciate the well wishes. Will definitely be uploading quite a bit of videos with regards to the E90. We also have an F30 320i that we need to work and we might just showcase another project that we have been working on for a few years...let's just say it's a certain old school Corolla with an original supercharged engine 😉
Hi Ashley. There is so much that could be the problem...in my case, the 3rd cylinder sleeve had crack. This caused the car to loose compression each all the time, and why i had that horrible hard start to the point that I had to replace 3 starters.
Can you ask him if non bmw air filter can cause low mpg. I have clean, intercooler, new turbo, new manifold, 3 new injectors, new egr plus cooler and no errors but 30-35mpg and i used to get 50+ and also check all the leaks please help
Thanks bud. LoL, I'm just remembering now, when my brother came over I showed him what you're busy with and also that you managed to start the v8...told him to sub to your channel 😉
Great video ....but what were the initial problem of the car that led you to removing the head....I only heard about oil contamination. Please give some clarity on what the actual problem is and if the engine was still running or not. I'm interested In learning about these diesel motors and I believe your channel will help me alot. Thank you.
@Megafaith...so what happened was the water pump failed, my wife had been driving the car. She pulled over and after about 5 minutes started the car up again and drove home. I believe her trip home had the engine overheat, causing the head gasket to pop along with as I believe warping the head. The car still drives but will eventually overheat, coolant consistently gets used up and the oil level has increased. On the next video I will be draining the oil and you guys will get to see how contaminated the oil is. We will also be removing the two injectors which allow us to remove head. Please dont forget to subscribe as there will be quite alot of content that I will be uploading with regards to this car and thank you for watching this episode 😉
Hi Deon. So unfortunately I need to replace the entire engine, I found the sleeve with cylinder 3 completely cracked which explains why some of the head bolts were covered in oil. It also explains why I had the horrible hard, the engine unfortunately didnt have enough pressure for combustion to take place. I will be uploading a new video soon wherein show all of this and discuss the way forward.
@@mdworkshop3919 eish, so sorry to hear, luckily uve got another engine though....😁 im waiting on my mech to do compression test then will take it from there...previous mech changed cylinder head, 2 inhectors, 1 piston, water pump.... ive did 3000k's with it and its standing again.... will check after compression test what im gonna do, dont have another 25K for repairs.
@Deon ...shoot brother, hope it's not the engine. I also paid the previous company who supposedly did my cylinder head properly 25k...just to be right back where I started 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️...honestly hoping you have a different, cheaper issue to resolve...please keep me posted.
@@mdworkshop3919 Hope u guys are well so there's no compression on cylinder nr 3, dont have the energy to go through another motor strip episode, put it up for sale as is...in need of a smaller car in any case... will definitely buy another simalar BMW in future, been an awesome ride but for now I need a smaller vehicle... ciao and best wishes for the new year, looking forward to more vids from u guys...🙌
Hi guys, just some feedback from my side as well..... The selling as is option didn't work out for me, too much scammers hanging around on FB looking for bargains and end up waisting ones time, i've removed the post and is in the process of sourcing parts to overhaul the engine. This is also a bit challenging cause sourcing parts is also a bit problematic on these cars, as soon as the guys here its BMW the eyes would like up and dollar signs flashing, not a good idea to source parts this time of the year as everyone's broke and they wanna make a quick back. I'm not gonna rush things and check out my options real good this time around though, good thing is the car is with me so i will be monotoring the progress with hawk eyes this time around... Engine is removed currently and the only noticable defect were 2 loose rocker covers on camshaft, the camshaft self seems fine but further tests would determine if its good to be used still....parts that will be changed include: Timing chain Head gasket valves cylinder head bolts for now, there might be more as the job progress... Will get back to u guys soon Cheers and stay safe 🙌
Nothing like enjoying your passion with your brother.. Keep it up guys!
Thanks Gee...yip, this has been something Matt and I have been wanting to do for a while now.
looking forward to more updates on bringing this beauty back on the road.
many best wishes.

Good day. Like the video and I wanted to ask, what could be wrong if the car cranks but does not start? I'm driving an e90 320d N47 as well.
