Vauxhall/Opel Corsa Gamma maintenance pt1
Good day MD Fam
So on todays video I am working on my corsa c/gamma. There was quite a lot that was done. we did the following
-replaced clutch and pressure plate
-replaced concentric slave cylinder
-skimmed the flywheel
-replaced both control arm
-replaced drop links
-replaced outer cv joints
-replaced front brake disc/rotors and front brake pads
-replaced tranmission sump gasket
-removed oil sump and cleaned it, refitted sump onto block
-replaced front engine mounts
I still need to bleed the clutch and fill up the tranmission casing with ATF, fill up with new oil and fit a new oil filter
a complete major service will also be done with a host of added other things, so dont forget to subscribe.

Hi MD Fam. ever been in that situation where you thought you had at least one applicator pad or your last applicator pad just tears into pieces just as you start using it. well I saw someone turn a regular short nab microfiber towel into a padded applicator pad and I show you guys how easy it is to do so. this by no means replaces a sponge applicator pad( my personal favourite) but it does help...

hey guys. so after fitting the top coolant hose, I was still experiencing coolant loss. Matt and I got to looking for the leak and eventually found it. you unfortunately need to remove the intake manifold on the b48 engine as the pipe/connector directly underneath it. the original part number as realoem is 11118511205 hopefully this help many of you guys out there #bmw #coolantleak #fypシ

Hey guys. I'm busy servicing my captiva and the oil filter cap is located just below the intake manifold. with it being there, you really can't use a 32mm socket to loosen the oil filter cap completely as it will get stuck, and you could also possibly damaged the plastic intake manifold. you could use your 32mm spanner in the conventional sense but that will take too long. Hey guys. just a quick tutorial on how to replace the top coolant hose that runs from your expansion tank to manifold. this is apparently a very common problem if you have a B48 engine. the part is not expensive( I bought mine from Goldwagen). hope this helps someone out there. #car #bmw #fyp

Hello, I also had this pipe break and changed it, but my wife noticed later that this pipe was leaking water and gave an error saying the engine was hot 100 meters before she got home because there was no antifreeze left.
I changed it, added antifreeze and bleeded the air but now it is throwing water from the antifreeze tank, the temperature does not go below 110, it is not losing oil or oil is not seen in the antifreeze, there is no steam coming out of the exhaust.
By the way, is there a way to bleed air after filling my car with 330e or antifreeze?
Hey Bud. When you say throwing water from the tank, I'm assuming you mean the water is bubbling? Not to scare you but I would suggest you take your car for a compression test at your local radiator shop.
@@mdworkshop3919 No, it is not foam, it throws back 3 liters of water.

This master clutch cylinder is a pain in the bud.busy doing mine now
Just bought 1L of this last week. Thought I'd give it a try. I have Turtle Wax, LiquiMoly and Autoglym wheel cleaners. These are all of the "hair perm" variety and I don't like to use them all the time. Tried other regular cleaners, but none actually work that great; all needing to be chased with a brush. This Nerta stuff works. Sprayed on, brake dust starts running. None of that purple wheel stuff going on. Blasted off with pressure washer and all is clean and I don't have rusty brake discs as with the decon cleaners. Finally have a wheel cleaner for regular use and the decons can be once a year. Note that the 1L bottle is literally a scaled-down version of the 5L ... including the font ... can't read f-all. 😁

@@mdworkshop3919Well I wouldn't have known about it had I not seen your videos. Thanks for that. 😀 I tried their active diamond snow foam this morning. Impressive. Took quite a bit, not all, of the road film off which is much better than other foams I've used. 2nd coverage for hand wash was good. Will just do APC on the problem areas prior to foaming. Just can't tell the difference between their active diamond and the carnet jumbo foams.
There's a plastic filer they use to fill plastic, so it'll be shananah 🙂👍🏽
What can I use to make sure the inside of my windscreen doesn't fog up? And thanks for all your helpful videos.
Wynns have actually just released an anti mist product to help reduce the misting effect during colder seasons. It's not expensive and is applied the same as the clearvue. Thank you for the support 👍

Thanks for great video, it is indeed quite helpful. 2022 I had an issue with that hose, but got it replaced at BMW (apparently there was a recall for those specific hoses). Right now my expansion tank is leaking, so will be replacing that tomorrow.
Fortunately they are not that expensive. I bought one from GW and it was about R400. Thinking that the GW pipe was faulty, I went the following day to BMW and bought an OEM pipe was R1100, so almost three times as much as GW but still not too expensive.

@@mdworkshop3919 That’s true, when I asked for a quote sometime last month they quoted me that amount because I initially thought that’s where my leak was coming from. To my surprise it was the expansion tank, which I’ve replaced. But now the thermostat gave in and in the most weirdest way haha. Hopefully itll be sorted this week because I’m still waiting for my claim to be processed.
What dilution did you use?
Hey Bud. I used a 1 in 10 dilution ratio.
Ahh mine just went yesterday! she is in the workshop at BMW :/
And it's such a quick and easy DIY...but the main thing is to have this sorted, you don't want any cooling issues, especially with a BMW.
@@mdworkshop3919 It's not sorted yet but hopefully soon, but I have extended warranty so ill let them deal with it. but if I didn't, it would be me and you doing it :P

Absolutely...the e90 ain't going anywhere. I've been contemplating do I buy an engine hoist or rent one as we are now prepping to remove the block from the body.
I have a 2004 9n hatch, it brakes fine but the handbrake has never felt like it grabs the drum very well. Needs a clutch soon and a new exhaust, but other than that it's sound. Really nice car imo very quiet and comfortable and costs nothing to fix, yet to do anything on the engine (4th year of ownership) and make use of all the space the 1.2 12v doesn't occupy

Mine failed around the same mileage (330i) but got it replaced at BMW back in 2022. Apparently there was a recall for those. Now I’m dealing with a leaking expansion tank, will be replacing that tomorrow morning.
My is 254 000 and have to pour liquid every 3 days,i guess this is problem

Thanks bud. Glad to hear my videos are of help. I bought mine from Opel/Chevrolet spare shop in Boksburg caller Lopec. If I recall I paid R1000 for each headlight. R700 is a steal for both on the basis that both headlights are still in good condition.

everywhere its like 750 bucks just save up buy an MJJC from detailers emporium its like 850 bucks for a way better bottle. I had the model in the video the problem is that metal part screw on to plastic if your not super careful you ruin the bottle.

Hey bud. Unfortunately not, I had polished these headlights on various occasions and had gone through the clearcoat, so no amount of polishing could salvage it...the housing also had quite a few deep scratches so replacing them was a definite must

This product is awesome. Takes no time to apply and it lasts very long. So far it has lasted ~1.5years/~25.000km on my daily driver. It is more hydrophobic than the ceramic coating I had on the windshield of another car I owned.
