You know, with all the times that someone takes one of their ships, I'm starting to wonder if they designed those ships too well that they can be operated by one to ten people. And that's not including the fact that Daniel has superpowers in this episode.
Daedalus ships are only the second type of hybrid ship built and used by Earthlings and it was not until the last episode of SG-1 that they had access to all of Asgard's technology. They do not fully master the use of spaceships, unlike the thousands of years that the asgards, ancients, goa'ulds and wraiths had. So I guess yes, the Daedalus ships are designed to be used easily by very small and less trained crews if the full crew is absent, just with less function usable at the same time excluding Daniel in this episode. Or it's just a scriptwriting facility.
Those ships were designed for combat - so flying around shouldn't be that hard. The crew complement usually consist of technicians and maintanace crew (to make sure the ships systems work contiuously), pilots for the F-302, damage control teams, ancillary workers (cafeteria, cleaning of rooms, washing of uniforms) and backup personnel for those guys in order to keep the work up around the clock. The gun systems are probably automated, but you can still man them for greater accuracy. So, if you don't plan to fire a gun, to operate the ship for a long period of time, to use the F-302s, to get into a battle (and thus not sustaining any damage for the damage control and the technicians to repair) to eat freshly cooked meals at the cafeteria or to wear clean uniforms, you can probably just fly the ship alone. But if you do any of the things this ship is designed for except for flying around, you need some more people.
you know, its always bothered me how just having a ZPM would give the ship a cloak. You'd still need to have a system in place to achieve the effect, even if its never been used before. Then i realized something. What if a ZPm could act as a battery to a PRior, where they can draw power directly from it to power their abilities. Daniel was cloaking the ship with his mind, and it wasnt a strain on him, because he was drawing most of the power to do it from the ZPM
In Atlantis there was established that cloak can be made from shield, somehow, maybe Daniel with Merlin advanced knowledge of Ancient cloaking modified shield emitters, but it also needed extra power from ZPM to run it. Also ship retained its cloak even after Daniel reverted from prior form, so he was not cloaking it with his mind.
At this point, Daniel was probably using his Ori powers to control the ship. But otherwise, yes, a skeleton crew probably of at least ten (rough estimate) people or so could run the ship.

Landry may report to Jack, but Jack knows Landry's a capable leader. He would rather not step on the man's toes and let him do the job he's there to do. I think it would have been better had they done something with fourth race, the Furlings.
They should make a current gen video game for the stargate series
I needed the laugh, thanks.
0:29 "Please state the nature of your medical emergency" ^^
😂😂😂
you got to wonder if there is an outake of him saying that
Why didn't he just say, "Computer, deactivate EMH"!?!?
Jack is high... Jacked
Has anyone else ever noticed that in one scene, Jack has one star on his uniform, but in another scene, he has two????
The sound seems to be really low in many of your recent clips. Is there a chance you could fix it?
No chance. They don't know how. Everyone's been asking already.
@@crackwitz Yeah I imagine they have, haven't they. Too bad.
@@TimoRutanen also, all the extra comments please the RUclips algorithm because it can't tell
@@crackwitz That's a random upside too.
@@Ragitsu so you DO know how?
So...how does this end? Where's the rest of the scene?
0:25 I worry about the same thing
1:10 & 1:15 the bridge can move itself from side to side?
It always bugs me that a jack calls Landry sir when they’re the same rank and b jack constantly goes from having 1 star erroneously back to his proper two and vice versa.
How will the ship get by with no EMH?
Jack with hands out of pocket gets beamed out of SGC
Jack beamed into ship with hands in pocket .
So much inconsistentcy in this series.
Directors are hopeless

I didn't hate the Ori as much as many did. However, I thought nearly every single plotline revolving around the Priors was stupid
The Ori were the obvious aftermath of the ancients hubris and stupidity. It was also the next local step when it came to antagonists in stargate. To make evil ancients. The prior were the way they blurred the line of the Ori being essentially real gods or not and I thought it was stupid
shame that they couldn't copy the cloaking device for the other ships to have.
So how Jack manage to put his hands in the pockets during transport?
I know I was just thinking that myself. Must be an O'Neill thing
Same way people in Star Trek get beamed up out of a seat, but are standing up on the transporter pad, they just do... :P
Hijacked? Or kidnapped? Hijack is comandeering a vehicle with people on it as hostage. Taking someone against their will is kidnapping.
Jack Hijacked. It was that simple.
Ah, funny! - J O'neill.
@@pontiacgto2005Rest assured: all titles were given _some_ thought.

Anyone notice that Daniels chin says "Gay"?
That's just wishful thinking
@crackwitz idk, i think the makeup artists new exactly what they were doing
what is the crew for, if you can fly the ship without them?
Daniel is Prior, they can do wild things. Those Ori ships are controlled by Priors too.
Flying a ship isn't the problem. Maintenance is the thing and the variety of ship functions and capability. Flying, perhabs even fighting, no Problem. But you start to need more people the more things you want to do simultanously.
Which 304 is this?
The Odyssey
❤😂😊😎😀🤗😎😊
I want to show Daniel with glasses and another woman with glasses!
:D

Your audio levels are terrible.
Your attitude.
@@Ragitsu They're 21dB down! Were your level meters even coming off of the lower peg?
The cloaking just always seemed like lazy writing. Very unusual for SG1
*Fools foolishly think, believe & say Woolsey (aka Mr. NID, IOA, etc) is a good guy, or a redeemed man, but he beamed aboard the ship to kill Daniel & Daniel stop him by slamming Woolsey up against the wall, raising him up against the wall & then......*
He didn't beam aboard to kill him, he went there to inform Daniel he was going to be frozen.
@@aliciaborth3016 *According to this episode, Woolsey also told Daniel he will be killed too....*
