This Sansui AU70 was one of my DIY during my younger days in the early 70s. I had the schematics memorized by heart so much so that I even dreamt about it. I also owned the classic AU111 but sold it when I moved home.
Got one :-) sound is very good they need a little work new tubes maybe and so on. I got new transistors in mine found the originals on the net, nice peace buy it if you can fun to play vinyl on
SevenFortyOne Does the one you have sound really good ? Is it pure tube power ? Or hybrid ? I'm on the fence with this one so any input or suggestions would be awesome. I'm want to see of I throw a really low offer and see how much that amps means to that person because of they let it go for very low very quick look out !
Full Disclosure - the one you are seeing for $450 on eBay is this one - I'm selling it. As you saw in the video, it needs some work to be fully operational but is all there and has lots of potential to be a great unit once restored. If you are willing to do the work or have the work done for you feel free to make an offer. I'm not an audiophile, nor do I have good speakers so I can't really comment on sound quality.
