Really gave me a piece to my trouble shooting puzzle I didn’t have. Thanks for being so thorough and explaining things in a holistic way - I feel like I am understanding my ABS system better now
Excellent video, the Range Rover Classic I'm restoring has an ABS issue and I was dreading having to fix but this has made me more confident. I suspect the RRC system is the same as the Disco 1. The exciter ring is the same.
I didn't care too much for complicated vehicles but I must say it's starting to interest me more, just a shame I'm past my time for becoming an apprentice mechanic lol
LR took the Wabco ABS system which worked perfectly well in the Hummer, gave it to one of their tech guys to modify for no good reason. Tech guy kept all the info in his head and there's no written record of anything. LR have literally no idea how the D2 ABS system was modified.....and that's from LR themselves!! Good luck if you have probs, they can have some pretty crazy issues!!
after replacing sensor cables, etc on my td5 the i car soft code reader is still saying front sensor output too low. Any idea what that means please ? 3 amigo's are killing me.
Hi there. I have a 2000 LR D2 North America. my LHR speed sensor reports intermittent output. I bought replacement sensors for both rear hubs just because. However the new ones ohm out at about 1000. I tested the old sensor and got same readout as new. How can I check the cable from the sensor to the Computer? Is there a pinout diagram online maybe?
Tank you for your video. My speedometer stopped working and I have a check engine light read the code and it says speed sensor. Occasionally the speedometer starts working again but then it stops. Along with this automatic door locks do not work as you begin driving and the cruise control is not working. Any suggestions? I am in New York City
A speed sensor does make anything do anything. It is only there to give information to an ECU. The word 'car' is a bit nebulous for me to understand your problem. If you were to be a little more specific with the model, and type of fuel it uses perhaps we can build up a picture in our minds of what we are looking at.

Thank you for your video. What is your opinion about the LR II Tester? And which scope will you recomend? Best Regards

2003 disco 2
my car over revvs. I believe I either need a speed sensor or the connector may be damaged itself. Are you familiar with this problem?
