Some trucks are wired differently; if this fix doesn't work for you cut the wires you just installed in half, measure the resistance to ground:the one with little to no resistance is going to be your ground.
Hi i did all the steps but still the lights are on, so i think that the problem should be other in My car, or maybe i have to do a scanner anyway to fix ir?
Nice to see fellow saffas providing tutorials for DIYers. these 3 amigos just popped up yesterday and I'll have to fix it myself since im in Dubai. Is it possible to get in touch with you if i need any help? thanks
The issue normally with SV electrical failure shown on a diagnostics is due to the Internal Earth Breakdown in the SLABS Unit. This is why, EVEN after a new SV Switch is fitted that although it may be a cure for a short while, the problem is likely to return. The Option B Fix as it is known bypasses the internal earth and by altering the SV Switch wiring according and making a connection with one wire into the harness and the other to earth on the vehicle inner wing etc. Having double checked ALL Joints/Connections for continuity and the Switch itself for working correctly with a Test meter does Fix this Problem. It must be noted the 3 Amigos issue can come from other issues such as the ABS Rotor, the Sensor and its Cables/connections, faulty wheel bearing and even dust on the brake pads. BUT if a diagnostics says SV Switch Electrical Failure then the B Fix is the first to do. Those that have don't usually have any issues afterwards.:)
Hi there can I see if I understand what you have done. First remove and rewire the shuttle valve, then put an earth from the abs unit to the body (green and yellow) and a second earth (black) from the body to the yellow wire with a green tracer on the large black connector?? Cheers.
Yes , that is what he has done, bypasses the bad wire shorts. I am in process of doing mine but because I removed all lines I have to ABS bleed my whole system 🤓
I have got the same 3 amigos problem on my Disco 2 and replaced the shuttle valve. But the problem still. Do you think I should do the same direct connection? As you did in your video?

If I buy a new shutter valve do I still have to wire it in to the yellow and green wire?

In all case you need to erase faults yeah

Maybe I missed it in the video but what was the purpose of the splicing the earth wire at the end of the video, after replacing the shuttle valve?

What code reader did you use?
This could have been repaired by purchasing a new shuttle valve, correct?
correct

How are you finding your Discovery
Love it, brilliant car off-road and on
The Discovery 2 is an awesome vehicle!!
Anyone come across just 2 Amigos ?
I came across 3 enemies. No 3 amigos anywhere on sight!😓😅
Wiring in a Disco is faulty
This did not fix my 3 amigos.
