I've had my Greenworks 60V for four if not five summers now and absolutely no issues. Still using the original 4.0 battery which can handle my 1/3rd acre lot and then some. Either I got really lucky, or you got a dud. I love the lift system that brings the deck up and down with just one lever, but hate that you can't control low vs high speed for the blade. Give the user that control Greenworks! It bags grass ok, but isn't powerful enough, or doesn't have enough lift to satisfactorily bag leaves as my old gas mower did.

I haven't had any issues with my Greenworks (same model, but I bought it August 2022); other than:
    - Common lock-out when using self-propelled - you need to disengage a foot before you need to turn. I heard other brands (like a newer Ego) also have that issue? I just learned to disengage before I need to turn
    - A few of the stall-outs you seemed to mention - maybe one every 8000 sqft (which for me is 1 in 4 mows). I have a similar issue with their trimmer where I can't reengage immediately after disengaging, and suspect it may be a battery circuit design thing. They have since revised their batteries - compatible but noticeably smaller and with a revised "look". I have one of the newer ones, so I should just run off that for a month and see if it cuts out.
I also have a pile of batteries (eight, like 6 4Ah and 2 2Ah), because sometimes only the kits will ever go on sale. None failed yet.

I love the Milwaukee mower too. Bought it on clearance the end of the year it came out. Wish that it was larger because my main mower is the Timemaster. If the Milwaukee was 30" deck I probably wouldn't use the Timemaster. Only reason i dont use it each cut is the time saving using the bigger deck.

I pretty much agree with your rankings because if the Greenworks mower is causing you problems then it is only natural that it would lose rankings. Also the one good thing about the Ego and Greenworks mowers that they only need 1 battery to run instead of 2 unlike the others you reviewed. Plus opinions change over time as well.

I just bought a Greenworks on the weekend to replace my gas mower which finally died after 15 years. Honestly, its not bad for an electric mower. Doesn't cut as well as gas but gets the job done.

Ive got a Kobalt 80v, that is just a rebranded Greenworks mower. 2 of the 3 2.5AH batteries i own have failed completely. One battery Lowes warrantied out, the second they will not. Im not investing in more Kobalt/Greenworks and bought Ego on Cyber Monday special.

So did the greenworks batteries totally die or just drain fast? If that killed 6 of your batteries they need to refund you or something cuz thats almost 2 grand worth of tool batteries. You should do a vid about all your greenworks problems. I have a greenworks 13 amp 21" corded mower and its been great but Ive only had it since the spring.

I'm a little bummed that you never gave Makita's much newer updated XGT 40v mower a chance when it was available at the time of your original video. Makita supposedly fixes all of the issues and complaints with the 18V x2 lxt mower you purchased and reviewed here.

Curious why no one reviews the toro lawn equipment. I know it has the same flaw as greenworks or ego in that you can only use those batteries for lawn care but i've had my mower for 3 years now and really love it. super durable steal deck and simple operation with best in class self propelled technology in their personal pace feature. Would really be interested in the other yard tools toro has to offer and if they have a similarly sturdy build like their mowers as well as how they stack up to name brands like Milwaukee and Ego and Stihl.

Not defending the Mikita mower but just curious had you ever sharpened the blade on it? I saw a review where the guy had a lot of straggles left and then he sharpened the blade and it was damn near a perfect cut (according to him)
I had a Kobolt mower first and I had the same issue with the batteries just dying after a couple months where they wouldn’t hard charge hints why I got the ego. And I must have inspired people cause there’s now 4 other houses I see with an Ego push mowers that use to have gas mowers 😂

The reason for not putting Ego on top is because they only provide outdoor power equipment. That is lame... it should be based on how a mower with battery and charger perform based on regular usage. I understand where you coming form as it is more cost effective to get the Milwaukee mower over any other brand if you already own Milwaukee power tools and batteries. I own Makita power tools but I decided not to get their 36v mower.
I own a Greenworks 60v pro 21 inch mower and it runs flawlessly. I also own the Ego select cut mower and it also runs flawlessly. Out of the two mowers I prefer the ego as it has a better overall cut quality and is easier to push and maneuver. It is not a big difference between both mowers but it is noticeable.
I bought the Greenworks over the Ego mower initially because I did not like the Ego mower had a plastic deck and did not like the way it looked. I also preferred the layout of the handles to run the motor and self propel on the Greenworks mower. It results in no fatigue on the fingers. Two years later I got the Ego Select cut mower just to compare. Turns out I was wrong about the plastic deck.
