How to Adjust / Resize Casio Bracelet / Watch Band (A158W, A168W etc.)

  • A short instructional video on how to adjust the size of your Casio bracelet. Casio does not provide any instructions for this so figured I'd make a quick video. These digital Casio watches can often be the first watch someone gets and the mechanism can be confusing if you've never seen anything like it. You won't need any special tools, a fork will suffice. Hope you find this useful and get a good fit!

    Why does it looks so effortless for you to re-close the clasp? Is it from practice or because it’s an older watch? Mine is brand new and it feels like I have to apply 50 pounds of force with a screwdriver just to close it again after readjusting.

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  3 года назад +101

      I think I know the reason. Try moving it very slightly in either direction. If the clasp is directly on top of a joint between links it can really put up a fight. So just move it ever so slightly and it should be pretty easy.. let me know if that helps!

    Right, top tip for anyone that has a tough clasp. I almost ripped my fingers trying to close mine.
    If you slide the clasp up and down you'll feel where the notches drop into the strap but even then it can be tough on certain sections.
    For me what finally did it was to take the same tool I used to open it and just use that to lever it back using the same hole. Was very easy doing it that way and saved my fingers

    • @NordicWatchChannel

      The clip won't close if you try to do it between 2 bracelet links. Just move it 1-2mm more in one direction and try again. You probably did already in 2 weeks time :)

  • @oscarsvgs

    for anyone struggling to close it make sure it’s at the same spot where it should be arrow is there and everything and press down really hard i thought it was gonna break but nah its fine also adjusting tip if u cant get it exact try getting it to the best fit possible and then attach it try it on still loose or tight just slightly adjust it without your wrist and use the links as measurements 2cm Up Not enough ok 3 more too much ok 3 cm down and try it till it fits

    • @NordicWatchChannel
      @NordicWatchChannel  5 месяцев назад

      Should go down without exessive force though.. You can feel when it gives too much resistance. Some resistance is fine, but don't force it!
