This guy is so blessed to have a beautiful woman and she is truly amazing you guys are truly a breath of fresh air its great that you both make each other happy in life and thats how it should be its a journey.
I was photography the sunrise at furthest fall at the Fairy Pools at 6 in the morning. Not surprisingly I was the only one there and sitting waiting for the sun to come up over the mountains was one of the most tranquil experiences I have ever had.
The longest caves in the UK can be found in South Wales and on the Yorkshire Moors. If you want to do some serious craving I’d recommend either of those places. The Wye Valley is pretty amazing and there are some beautiful walks. For something completely different why not go down a coal mine at the Welsh Mining Museum atBig Pit in Blaenafon . It’s a great day out and even better it’s free!
Wow, so much to love about Somerset - gorge-ous :) Would love to see the cave where Cheddar Man was found too. You're so lucky to live in a place with such well-preserved, very old history ❤
Cant believe you didnt check out my home area of Chew Valley and its lake.right next to Blagdon lake. You can park right on the lake road side. Lots of Van's park up there for the night.
Really enjoyed that Beans, thank you! Reminded me of a party I went to in Radstock, nr Bath back in the 880's put on by some potholers. We followed some toilet paper arrows through the trees to a metal gate in the rockface. Climbed down a couple of feet into a cavernous tunnel lit by candles in niches. This opened out into an enormous cavern with hundreds of fairy lights strung high lighting up a beautiful stalactite 'waterfall'. There were "stools" and "tables" along with a bar, all made out of blocks of bath stone! An absolutely magical place and the best party venue I've ever been to!!
Another amazingly beautiful UK location!! I agree with you as well: van travel must be near-perfection… drive to beautiful spots; hike, have a coffee; hike some more. The garden you visited in the end was sublime… another of the million and one reasons UK is my favourite country on earth: British people are the consummate gardeners of the earth (in the human species at least). Beautiful!
When you get to the Southwest in the US... if you like caves then you MUST go to Carlsbad Caverns in southern New Mexico. The tour is awesome, the stalagtites and stalagmites and water pools are phenomenal!!! You must stay until dusk and watch the thousands of bats fly out!!!
Such a beautiful area! When most people think of travelling to England, you automatically think of London, which we have visited. You've really opened up our eyes to what is outside of London. Thank you for sharing that with us.
If you ever come to Northern Ireland we have the Marble Arch caves in County Fermanagh. We stay at Lough Erne nearly every year in September for the last 10 years and tried doing the caves but they were always too flooded to have visitors so we only got to do it recently in a dry summer - there's a short boat ride at the start inside the cave where the roof is low (hence flooding keeping visitors away) before doing the walk thru and it's a lot bigger (cathedral like) than the cave you showed in the video.
Sorry only a year or so behind, (and sorry if this has been mentioned in the comments before) but if you're ever back in the Mendips, opposite Stockholm wood is Priddy Mineries and pools where they once mined lead. A beautiful place to wander around and next to it is a field with nine mounds in it, these are burial mounds. Worth a walk around for a bit of history. Love your videos. Brings back so many amazing memories of our vanlife before kids. Xx
I recall camping in Cheddar 40 years ago, in a field behind the church. Had a few beers on Saturday night, not realising the church would start bell-ringing at silly o’clock the following morning! Not good with a hangover. Great video.
Guys… Hampshire! So many nice spots from beautiful country spots to the steeped history of of all of our fantastic royals! So underrated and feel guilty myself that I still need to see more! So many quaint villages, nature spots galore and that beautiful proud of English feeling
They won’t reply don’t bother , you take the time to watch there vid and like but they can’t be bothered to acknowledge your question , if you scroll through they have never replied to anyone personally I think that’s very rude to your followers unsubscribe I will
If you guys are looking for more caves to explore, you should definitely head back to the Peak District as there are about 3 caves close to Mam Tor or you could check out Honister Slate Mine in the Lake District.
I can remember in the 1990s I went to Cheddar and saw 3 Base Jumpers jump from the top of the Gorge to the car park below norrowly missing a tour bus and on a later comment you made, if you enjoyed Edale check out the walk into Malham from Gargrave along the Pennine Way, approx 5 miles each way. Just incase you are still short of ideas, Borrowdale or Ennerdale both in the Lake District.
Great vid as usual 🤗 We don't like to tell many people but West Yorkshire has some beautiful spots, Ilkley for one, and not so far away in North Yorkshire you have the magnificent Malham Cove. Shhhh! X
I went with a group into a huge cave many years ago, but I can't remember where it was (somewhere in the south of England). I do remember how quiet and dark it was when all of the lights were turned off, and it was so cold down there. It was a hot summer day above ground, but the temperature must have dropped around 10 degrees underground.
Hey guys. Spotted you at Mendip activity centre last week whilst waiting for our activity. The tobogganing is great fun! … though it looks like we really missed out on a caving adventure. 🤔
If you're after good caving spots, you can't beat South Wales (brecon) for huge horizontal passage on the scale of cathedrals and immense systems with large variety, hands down one of my favourite caving spots in the UK. OFD is a brilliant starter cave, as is Craig y ffynnon. The rest of the UK has some wonderful caves too, often down at Mendip where there's hundreds of caves, and on occasion Yorkshire and the peaks for Vertical Caving.
Loved the video. Still new to part time van life and haven’t really parked up off grid much. Loved the journey on this one and following your journey each week. Keep it up - this is the best type of video on here. Very natural with great unbiased information delivered with a great sense of comedy.
Loved your Cheddar Gorge and that cathedral with the old clock, the clock was amazing. I definitely think you two managed to get just the right van for your travels so you could sneak under those clearance rails. That was a really nice campground you found for the night and all to yourselves. Loved that garden too Emma, glad you went. Okay Beans, where to next, or is it time to head home for a break. Take care you two!
Great video!!!!! You guys have such a beautiful country! That boy made us nervous too! That forest was MAGICAL but like Emma, I (Lori) really, really loved that garden!
Lovely vlog. What beautiful places! Caving...I did an epic caving tour in Cappadocia. Caving mecca!! And that Cheddar Gorge looked stunning! Hopefully that lad didn't fall off the cliff!
dan yr ogof caves but not the walking cave tour where familys go but there is another tour i went on before but if your claustrophobic it might not be a good choice as theres two holes you have to get through one is the rabbit hole which you go on your hands and knees in and the other is the mouse hole where your on your stomachs crawling through and your back is nearly hitting the ceiling but its only for 10 metres to get to the following cave system, amazing tour though you start in a field theres a tree with a cave entrance under the tree looks like a tree with a door :)
Wow Wow Wow the scenery is stunning. Thank you so much for this superb vlog. What a beautiful place you found to camp the night too. Before I came to live in Australia I lived and worked in Bristol and really regret not visiting the gorge as it wasn't that far away. Keep em coming guys you are picking some top spots.
I love you guys ❤️ Question- do you have plans of traveling to Ireland? Would be interesting to see you in Dublin and Derry (also do you guys watch Derry Girls? Hehe) Scotland would be nice to see in your channel as well. Maybe a repeat of Glasgow and a trip to Shetland Islands. Anyway, more power to you guys.
Stunning Footage 😻. Those gardens were very pretty If you ever get the chance to travel to TheArdennes in Belguim Plenty of cave activities 😜. Something to keep in mind ,but the area it self is stunning .
Back from a day on the beaches of Anglesey, this was a perfect video to end our day! Loved the hike, that’s now added to our list. I’ve not been to Cheddar since I was a kid. Thanks once again you two for a great video. X
Great video. I love a good cider. Warmed on a cold night, Cold on a summer night. Hear in Tasmania we have a company called Dickens Cider. I love the name and taste. Thatchers is my favourite here. We also have Mercury Hard cider. 9% alcohol 375 ml can
I could have watch another hour of your time here, absolutely beautiful! Between you guys, Kinging-It, and Magenta Otters Travels, we cannot wait to visit the UK!!! Fabulous video guys! ~Cara ❤️
Hi Guys I started following you a while ago really enjoy your channel and another great video even better as you were only a few miles from me near Gladtonbury I go to cheddar quite often for a walk around and have a coffee it’s a great place to visit.
I definitely think you should do more caving if you enjoyed that little taste! I really loved it, here in NZ, before my back injury and I really miss it. 😢 Great video guys, lovely scenery! ❤
I could kick myself, I emigrated to Australia in 1972, and took up vanning in the past couple of years not realizing what I left behind, what I have missed out seeing, now at the age of 80 and wishing I could turn back time to experience what you are doing now. Australia is a vast country and so much to see, but not realizing until now just how much England had hidden beauty. Safe travels Emma and Alex, maybe you'll visit down under one day. 🦘🐨.🤠
We love the Mendips. Stayed for a week in a really cute cottage in Wookey Hole. Did that Cheddar Gorge walk that you did, visited Wells and Glastonbury (which I found slightly weird…I think it was due to the witchcraft shops), We had a great time. I also love to visit places I’ve traced my ancestors back to, so we had to visit Blagdon.😀
Hey guys, the link no longer works for the other night spot. Are you able to share at all where it is? Would be brilliant to visit with my partner and his new van!
Great video again guys - can you explain how your life works now that you are in the uk, where you live , how your earn the money and when and how often you get a chance to get out and do these wonderful things .
OK, that a new part of England for me. Did not know and it looks spectacular! One day... :-) But first my little family will take on a trip to Oslo VERY soon :-) My first international trip after COVID..

Wells is, of course, where greatest film of all time, Hot Fuzz, was shot.
It's for the greater good. 😁
Any luck catchin' them swaaans?

you really must visit Northumberland and see the castles and the beaches.

Wiltshire we have found to be underrated it’s gorgeous here come and see 💗
Emma just gets prettier and prettier. So much of England looks like New England where I live. Great video guys!
Other way around… New England looks like England - hence ‘New’ 😉

This is why I subscribe to this channel. I have NEVER heard of the Mendips before, yet it was so beautiful. Thanks Beans.
Lovely to meet you guys in Cheddar on Friday. Thanks for crossing over for a quick chat. X

We really enjoy watching your vlogs, thank you for sharing them. You both make us smile 😊 ❤️

That was lovely! Thank you so much for sharing. The Bio Garden must have been full of fragrance.
Nice video ,was in the gorge this morning at 6:30 ,the birds singing loudly echoing off the rock was amazing

Clapham in Yorkshire for caving and great walks as well
Hey guys. Spotted you at Mendip activity centre last week whilst waiting for our activity. The tobogganing is great fun! … though it looks like we really missed out on a caving adventure. 🤔
Hey Beans, I've just seen you with Paul Merton and his missus on the Somerset segment of their new travelogue on Ch5. You kept that quiet! Lol
Great video guys, Emma you know that you have a perfect voice for TV.. obviously not as much fun as you'd have now 😁😝
She is stunning and her narration is perfect! 😊

Great vlog!! Love watching you guys, a great, happy positive couple who seem to be just loving life!!! Keep up the good work and stay safe!!! xx
Britain has got so much to offer we should all take more advantage of it

Northern Lake disctrict, ullswater, airaforce waterfll, keswick, Catbells and Derwent water - - popular but ubderater in my eyes
Go to the Yorkshire Dales, it’s brilliant for caving there!
We are so lucky to have such beautiful countryside in the area. Walking along the top of Burrington is beautiful as well.
St David’s is another lovely little City (just like Wells) 😊
Loved the video. Still new to part time van life and haven’t really parked up off grid much. Loved the journey on this one and following your journey each week. Keep it up - this is the best type of video on here. Very natural with great unbiased information delivered with a great sense of comedy.

Awesome video guys. I'm in the next county of Devon. Saw you on the Paul Merton campervan program. Top stuff loving the van.
Try Dartmoor mix of rural towns and sparse countryside and plenty of walks.
Back from a day on the beaches of Anglesey, this was a perfect video to end our day! Loved the hike, that’s now added to our list. I’ve not been to Cheddar since I was a kid. Thanks once again you two for a great video. X
