THANK YOU DAVID SANBORN FOR CREATING THE COOL SMOOTH JAZZ SOUND. REST IN POWER AND PEACE! YOUR MUSIC WILL REMAIN IN OUR SOUNDS AND IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER.
Let's see. I bought the album to listen to this at home. Then I bought the cassette to listen in my car. Then I bought the CD when the CD was invented. No wonder David Sanborn is paid in full. Because I did the same thing over and over again. He is my favorite alto sax player. An original
Terrence Howard Did exactly what you did, In fact, this was in the first group of six CD’s I bought. As a Touring FOH Engineer, I played this around the World to listen to and help tune my PA. The drums and bass gave you a pretty good idea if the PA could deliver in the low end in particular. Listening to this today, Easter Morning, and reminded how extraordinary this record and subsequent tour was. I saw them in Nashville sans Marcus. It was still incredible. Someone in the audience asked David where Marcus was. He laughed and said, “Marcus isn’t here but, this guy is good too! This guy is good too!” Have a beautiful day.
This album captured my heart back in the 80s and this number never loses its power to overwhelm me. Sanborn and Miller make a perfect match. Brilliant.
One of my David Sanborn tracks what a groove, one thing for sure is you most certainly did not leave this world an unknown Dissident thanks and may you RIP
I've listened to David Sanborn since 1979, my children grew up listening to this and God help me, so will all my grandchildren, a master at his craft and ever evolving!!!
This type of music transcends times. It is still as relevant today as when I heard it 30 years ago. David Sanborn is my favorite jazz artist of all time.
Straight to the heart for real, what a fantastic alto player ,the melodies ,the ideas, solos. Yes I am a fan .one of the originators of smooth jazz, David sanborn
How great fine playing of this David Sanborn... First listen, since Candy Dulfer praised him in her Autobiography! Didn’t say a word too much: David ís fantastic🌹❣️🎶👌
Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, Al Jarreau, Robert Glasper, Joel Sample, Gregory Porter..these are my top dogs, if only I could be at the North Sea Jazz Festival one day with all of them performing that would the highlight of my life.
Amen !!! That is quite an all star line up I attended the 2014 Sea breeze Jazz Festival which featured George Benson. Al Jarreau, Norman Brown, Kirk Whalum, , Brian Culberson, Rick Braun, with the one and only David Sanborn closing out the Four day event. It was easily one of the best Festivals on so many levels...
I played the hell out of this LP back in the day !Still on my top 10 list of best Smooth Jazz Songs... EVER !and that's a Large statement from me.For some unknown reason I never thought to look for it on RUclips, Boy what a surprise to watch the Live recording that is on the Album.
That was live recording album in the studio, so the sound was perfect (no noises). In addition to it, the visual works that was recorded in monochrome was so fantastic. I think it's the best thing!
I love this track .It has such a cool groove and Sanborn has the right feel throughout the track playing well within himself .Give me this style of music anyday of the week over the semi atonal note shredding from the modern jazz nafia
David Sanborn (1945-2024) Thank you for the music. Rest in Heavenly Peace.
Я с вами полностью согласен. Привет из России, из Саратова.
Goose bumps, still, after all these years. Thank you sir. Rest in peace.
RIP one of the GOATs of jazz 🙏🏽
I was still living in Souther California when I fell in love with Mr. Sanborn, many many years ago. Thank you for the beautiful melodies.

I've had the distinct pleasure of seeing David twice in concert and he is simply the best at his craft, bar none
Same. Saw him twice in London. Both times playing different genres, both times incredible
One of my all time favorite songs. Music how it suppose to be played, how it suppose to sound, how it suppose to feel.
La complicité du trio sanborn miller bullock me transporte complètement.

I miss to see him Live, he's the best when he gets an intimate audience. His Alto Sax play is the best I heard in my life and still remains so today.

Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, Al Jarreau, Robert Glasper, Joel Sample, Gregory Porter..these are my top dogs, if only I could be at the North Sea Jazz Festival one day with all of them performing that would the highlight of my life.

It's as simple as...
Go! :)
It was great in cocert.outside with a cool wind in the Texas summer. 2 concert.sends chill down my spine still.
I shook Marcus's hand once,
It's still trembling,
My life away.
Chapeau to both heroes!
I remember hearing this from the smooth jazz V98.7 commercial and loved this song since.
80's jazz at it best!
Marcus Miller is in the pocket on this! Perfect beat!

TONY VINSON . Me too bro. Dang! I see he’s got a Boston gig in 2019.
Great fan of David, saw hin in De Doelen Rotterdam mid eighties with Hiram Bullock, playing in an acrobatic performance.
Great Song
Song written by Marcus Miller which today May 2017 is a standard!!! # Test of Time
That was live recording album in the studio, so the sound was perfect (no noises). In addition to it, the visual works that was recorded in monochrome was so fantastic. I think it's the best thing!

high qualityというのは演奏のことですよね?
音質はむしろオリジナルよりも劣化してますよね?
This would be much better without the inclusion of Sanborn.
What do you not like about Sanborn .Is it the big row of zeros after his name in his bank account ?
@@jonnobloggs8642 That does not surprise me.
Wow!
