Let's see. I bought the album to listen to this at home. Then I bought the cassette to listen in my car. Then I bought the CD when the CD was invented. No wonder David Sanborn is paid in full. Because I did the same thing over and over again. He is my favorite alto sax player. An original
Terrence Howard Did exactly what you did, In fact, this was in the first group of six CD’s I bought. As a Touring FOH Engineer, I played this around the World to listen to and help tune my PA. The drums and bass gave you a pretty good idea if the PA could deliver in the low end in particular.
Listening to this today, Easter Morning, and reminded how extraordinary this record and subsequent tour was. I saw them in Nashville sans Marcus. It was still incredible. Someone in the audience asked David where Marcus was. He laughed and said, “Marcus isn’t here but, this guy is good too! This guy is good too!”

Marcus Miller, David Sanborn, Al Jarreau, Robert Glasper, Joel Sample, Gregory Porter..these are my top dogs, if only I could be at the North Sea Jazz Festival one day with all of them performing that would the highlight of my life.
Amen !!! That is quite an all star line up I attended the 2014 Sea breeze Jazz Festival which featured George Benson. Al Jarreau, Norman Brown, Kirk Whalum, , Brian Culberson, Rick Braun, with the one and only David Sanborn closing out the Four day event. It was easily one of the best Festivals on so many levels...

That was live recording album in the studio, so the sound was perfect (no noises). In addition to it, the visual works that was recorded in monochrome was so fantastic. I think it's the best thing!
