I have had people my whole life say " your not as dumb as you look" the civil retort to that is always "you are...and now that you have opened your mouth you have removed all doubt"

Depending on what rig you have, but on trucks it’s stamped on the passenger side top of the frame near the shock tower in the front and sometimes also in the rear.
Sometimes when someone is the first one to post a response to a video they say "first". It could have been worse, I suppose he could have said "only", which would be hurtful of course...I think you're a man of principle, so in principle, I think you should have NAPA send you the return slip, you ship it back and make them send you another one. Most likely it would be a good part...I've been having really good luck with Rock Auto because I can pick the kind of part that comes in, but it's tough in that you have to wait a few days for the parts to come in and when you're trying to do something out of the box like this it can be hard to get the right things. I got a new gas tank for my CJ7, the sending unit, and both the filler neck hose and filler neck vent hose and in total it was just under half the price of the same exact Dorman tank ( JUST the tank, nothing else) at NAPA, including the shipping. Kind of hard to beat that!
I would send it back if I had the time and patience for it. I just have had such bad luck with stuff like this before that I usually decide that it isn't worth getting my blood pressure up over it, I am already high strung. lol Its possible that is what the feller meant by saying "first" but I found it odd considering that video is months old and he wasn't the first to comment. lol Sounds like you got a damn good deal on that CJ7 tank set up!
Dang it man! That's frustrating, I have gotten junk from all the auto parts stores! It's hit or miss most of the time. Some products are spot on while others are pure crap!
It for sure gets old. lol I had a small window to get work done and it set me back. I have been traveling a lot again and I don't when I will get the time now. lol

@@redclaytraveler1949 Sure thing! I need to tear into the 226 in my truck. The rear main seal is starting to get pretty knarly and it ain't doing its job! lol Oil everywhere, at least the old rig gets some good rustproofing!
I stopped by the local AutoZone to return my mail ordered carb for my 57 pickup. the fella behind the counter asked me what is was. when I said carb, he said, "like for a motorcycle"? I sent my original to kaiser, got it back and am waiting to install it. fingers crossed.
It amazes me lol My brother found a nos carter for his 60 Willys, it was pricey but it works amazingly well. I have good luck buying some rebuilt carbs on eBay as well so far. I hope the carb works well for you!
I don't know on the 76 buicks but on the 77 inline 6 they have 2 choices. China or India. The India's are 3 times the price. I got the latter and so far so good. I'm going to try your Buick car mounts on my v6 soon. I've got 3 sets of the Kaiser willys. Not interlocking I guess but they seem heavy duty. Just so I dont start thinking. That's when it goes south.
I find it harder and harder to find out where things are made when I am shopping for parts these days. I always prefer American or at the very least not made in China. The regular mounts would be fine, I just figured sense I had to buy a set I would buy the interlocking ones but that managed to screw me. lol
@@redclaytraveler1949 interlocking would always be better or good insurance. AutoZone or advance and orielly can all have the upper hand on certain parts. Just when I have something figured out it changes. I keep a notebook with part numbers and where it's made. As I said on the inline 6. Napa has China and India. I always ask if I have 2 or more options at any store. Btw on the inline orielly only sells the California push rods and they are too short for the 48 state motors. I tried to get them straightened out but haven't checked yet. I have the part number for the correct ones so don't forget this.
