The eg is the best platform in my opinion. It's iconic to the Honda community. Anyone who likes hondas has a soft spot for the eg. It took me 6 months to find mine and it's a salvage title car with no engine!
My first project was an eg!! I didnt know what it was, all i knew at the time was my friend, already in the honda scene, told me to buy it cuz it was awesome. Little did I know, 5years later i would be deep into swapping, and had a K24/K20a2 head. Turbo all wheel drive boiiiii 92 Eg, and also complete Integra front end (inside only dashboard seats... Etc) It was f'n awesome!!!! It was a vette killing EVO smashin thumper dumper sleeper!!! F*YEA Boiiiiii 😎
Ep3 is one of the best. Although its slow when stock, The K20 it already has under its hood has plenty of potential. It already comes with Bucket seats that have amazing bolstering. It only comes with manual transmission
Fr but they’re getting so fucking expensive. When this video was made a clean rust free one would got for $3-$4k now shit goes for that much with no motor and trans 😭
I was thinking of getting a Honda hatchback I’m on $2k budget I’m 15 love seeing modifications on cars would like to do so myself but don’t know what to start with I could get one for around $900 but idk if worth it needs new paint that’s all
Its worth it, I started my b16 swapped eg8 with almost no money I sold all of my video games which I barley had any to get the $300 the guy was offering me. $300 is really cheap for a eg8 let alone it being modded already but paint need refresh, headgasket was blown and its been in a wreck although it has no rust. So I took the head apart, got new gasket, cleaned the head, and straightened the wrecked front by parking it in front a tree and ratcheting it back to normal. Cars like these where you put in your dedication and hard work become something more than just a machine but a bond between driver and machine therefore I encourage you to get a project like so and you will learn alot along the way.
I have a 92 white CX EG with 76k. Took me about 2 years to locate one in this condition. I’m in CA and most of rhe EG here are salvage and junk. People asking 5k or more for a car that has around 200k and been through the rice blender. Every once in awhile I get younglings asking me questions since it all OEM. Many never seen OEM parts from 1992. Unfortunately people throw this stuff away and it’s work a lot depending on the condition and complete-ness. Good luck!
I'm lucky I live in New Zealand the JDM heaven of the world. I currently drive ek4 and eg9 with type R engines and lsd trans. Before that, I had a ef8 crx, accords and ep3 CTR. Hopefully I will get an ITR soon or s2000 ap2.
The Integra 94-01 chassis is 100% identical to the 92-95 Honda Civic Coupe and Hatchback. Absolutely everything is interchangeable. The only difference is the shape of the bodywork and interior
But in all seriousness, the EK is just so god damn beautiful. I love the thing. Everyday I look outside I almost cry knowing that my EK is sitting there, not getting the attention it deserves. My Gearbox has broken and shit it's been so hard trying to get a job. All I want is to get that thing back on the road and give it the attention it deserves. It's got dents, paint fade, chips and scratches, but it's mine and there's so many things that I want to do for my EK. I love my EK, but it kills me to see it the way it is.

Go with it I got a 97 LX d16y7 getting ready to drop in manual transmission and speed factory no notch rods and Vitara pistons. Going to put a y8 cam in y7 head. To put the VTEC cam in nonvtec head you have to just swap the upper valve train or the rocker assembly then use VTEC locker pins, so it will stay in VTEC all the time then I'm going to spray a 150 shot of nitrous. Actually I plan to do two or three stages. 35 to 40hp shot for 1st gear 75 to 100 shot for second gear and the 150 shot for third gear got the s40 a000 transmission
Eg as a the same.platform as the integra that s why its more popular u can basicaly put a integra and put it in and its mostly bolt on srry for my english nice vid bud love thisr car .
I think you can K swap it but in my honest opinion, why would you want to when the F20C is like the 2JZ of Inline 4's when it comes to how much you can do on stock internals unlike the K20
@@grantd007grantd they have been shown to make about 900 -1000 and more on stock internals since they have really strong forged internals from factory and the K20 can only make it up to about 500 or 600 something on stock internals which still is not bad but it's not as strong to keep from breaking without having to be upgraded to better forged internals this leading to having to build it since it's horsepower cap is much lower than that F20C as far as stock potency.. I've seen it actually beat a Supra with the same horsepower both stock engines and making 640whp S2000 vs a 700hp Supra MK4 and the S2000 won easy.. it's basically the 2JZ inline 4 since you can make loads of power out of them but most forget about it for some unknown reason to me..
@@peopleschampgarage7869 now that makes sense because I've only heard of what it can do when boosted which I was humbly shocked at how well it is when taking boost... Also I can agree with that cuz I don't think a F20C would be my first choice when going All Motor even tho I've never been that kind of guy tbh.. The only car I'd say would be on par with it would be an EK Si, but those are 2x what an Integra GSR costs and make less power with an inferior interior.

@@OneMeanSS i was in the same situation you are with the same range of cars in my head. The kne thing I will tell you is that a good turbo setup will run you right in the neighborhood of $1500-2000 BUT that lets you hit 10-15 PSI on a stock block and you WILL hurt a lot of feelings with the Integra. I have $4500 all said and done in my Integra and it's putting down 13 psi and right about the range of 320whp. Plus, I love my interior and my suspension setup. So you really get the best of both worlds and still end up with a faster car.
Ef hatch. Screams Osaka man. Ej1, easy to do clean. Has vtec, holy grail obd1 p28. Often find auto stock ones. Dc integra, it's so import that it stands out next to other hondas, like the ef hatch. Bb4 preludes. Gswap and get ready to sound like you know more engine building than all the other honda kids. King of the hill is always eh3. I've had quite a few, and no other car really is its equal. Give it typical Honda treatment with a sprinkle of aftermarket parts and enjoy it everyday with good mpg. I’ve always liked the g35-g37’s and I can get a 35 for around 4.5k with like 100k plus miles but I’m not 100% sure what to get.
#6 90s accord. Just put an h series engine in there.
Great video 🤙
Where did that CRX video come from? I've been looking for it for months.
L12B i-VTEC SOHC engine on Honda Brio with 90 HP 1.2 L capacity. The cheapest model start at around $9.900.
Just got a 2003 honda civic project. Let's see how it goes
What are the best chassis of the Honda 4 cylinders I question their
quality of effectiveness with the G force ? They should test it too.
Not sure why you skipped clean over the 92-95 Ej coupes?
Or balls to the wall boost and spin to win.
Cool video bro,we love Honda.
I like it love the list hit it on the money
The del sol is a good car to work with and they're more rare than other Hondas.
i have a 93 s and 93 si del sol along with a 98 civic ex
what if Honda relaunch the Civic EG hatch all brandnew for $17,000 USD, same looks, same design will you guys buy one?
Prelude
Greetings from Russia and from Ek Hatch from this video lol
My dream car was a CRX it still is but I ended up with an Ek gave up on finding a nice crx
I see why people think the cry is lighter but nah is actually the EG, I am lucky to be around those who own civics like si 2 door aka EK, EK hatch, si Delsol and si eg 😏
I have a eg8 so im fine with this this💪🏾
Crx are the lightest and num1 is integra and 2nd si civic 3rd crx 4th s2000 ek5th
The del Sol is also very light

My list:
EK9
RSX
Integra
EG6
Prelude

95 hatchback civic I own changed the rims and tires
EK is not the code, its the chassis name (number), like my SiR civic, its an EK454. common known here at Ph as padEK454.
Honda only...I'd go with
1. Integra (DC5) (I have one..LOL. And K is de wae)
2. Integra (DA9) (had that too...electrical was done poorly so I traded it)
3. Civic R/Integra R (FD2/DB8)
4. Accord waggo 94-97
5. S2000 (AP1)
Your not a honda guy

Ahhh thats why ill never get rid of my 93 civic hb👍👍👍
How come nobody ever talks about the f series motor?
wym🤔 the s2000 has a f20 and a f22, and alot of ppl f20b swap preludes
@@thatguy5339 why F20B SOHC swap preludes the H22A it's DOHC and it has VTEC and has more torque
Giancarlo Lugo easier to boost
Giancarlo Lugo and I think the f20b is also dohc vtec
@@thatguy5339 not really my father had an Accord 95'' and the engine was a F20B it was a SOHC F20C and F22C are the DOHC versions of the F series
