Dr Gallagher Please explain.... you say that the most common procedure used in the United States. Leaves behind the Prostate.... This implies that there are other procedures available but you havent talked about these other procedures for mtf surgery. Plus I would very much like to know why the PROSTATE is left in place in the usa. When you implied that it was not in other countries. Please elaborate
I need help and there are no doctors around here intelligent enough, or rather, compassionate enough to even talk to me about this without letting the entire staff know what I am. I have had a painful urinary tract infection now for a while and there is no one to call. If you tell them about what's wrong they get very weird about it and quite insulting about giving someone like me any help at all. I had my surgery in 1983 and it was okay for a couple of decades. No one knows I had surgery because I always looked female.
Is there any mtf surgeries that are doing great, tha healed well etc because everything I watch it seems like the surgery never heals and one way or another there will always be complications
Hey dr if i come to you and say i feel like a 1 armed man would you cut my left arm off or would you consider me having a mental issue and refer me to a mental health dr???
You did not answer your own question. Or the question that came to my mind listening to you. You said the technique we use in the USA leaves behind the prostate. Meaning in other countries they do not leave the prostate behind. My question is Why Is the prostate not removed but left behind what is the reason for this?
Because removing the prostate is INSANELY risky... probably made that way by our creator , just I case people ever got so screwed up and would consider pretending they can change genders
I went to have my gallbladder out and all went well until I woke up in recovery. I distinctly heard a nurse say, "She doesn't look like a guy. Maybe we should put her in with the men." Another one answered her, saying, "No, you can not do that! She's a female and married! She's pretty and a sweet lady." After that, I knew I was being attacked and humiliated because some of the nurses were informed that I am an intersexed patient! Born without testicles at home by Polish Midwifery. I left it up to doctors and the church to tell me if I should change or not. They both, along with my parents, all agreed that I would be better off going the female route. My parents paid for it and my family accepted me well. So, I do know what mean people are like. I also know there are compassionate and loving people out there too. Unlike such horrible people, like Ben Shapiro, for instance, who attacks people like us daily.
This dr should have her license to practice taken away! Dr take an oath to do no harm ! Cutting off a body part that is healthy on a person who has a mental condition is crazy and irresponsible!
There is no other cure for this mental illness. The patient has to be well informed of the dangers of this surgery before it can be done. This procedure is completely up to the patient

Iirc it's because the prostate is too complicated to remove (according to google, too many nerve endings and could damage urinary tract)
I myself would rather the prostate be gone
They usually use it to approximate the rest of the clitoris tbh, it's likely more accurate to leave it in.
Prostatectomy is a rather risky procedure.
Lol your a guy that's why you have a prostate you nut!😂
@MichD-o2l we live in clown world
