If you are looking for a great place to walk in Northern Ireland, the Swinging Bridge in Sion Mills is a great spot. It is also a very popular fishing and angling spot for locals in the area.
The Swinging Bridge was built in 1800 by the Herdman family to make it easier for mill workers to walk to work.
Take in some fresh air, the lovely scenery of the forest and the Mourne River walk all while getting your steps in.

I left there in 1947 as s 9 year old child . Wonderful memories of the school and swing bridge. This video made me cry i was so homesick . My son took me back for my 80 th birthday and i was in the house where i was born for my birthday . Simply wonderful. We lived at 25 Church Square. We still have family living in the Sion Happy Days . Elizaberth Logue x
