Hi Gerry, another fantastic video, pretty windy but looked fairly dry, impressive cliffs. Big sigh of disappointment here when you had to turn back after scrambling up that gulley. 👍👌👌
I was up there just this last November. Great place, with views back to home across the Foyle in Inishowen. Great film, as ever Gerry. It's a magical place, the very edge of the Antrim plateau. Silent up by the lake. One Games of Thrones was filmed up there In told.., not that I've ever seen it. Best wishes. Monty.
Cheer Monty, it is a great place with beautiful views across to Donegal. Agree too that it has a magic about it and not surprised that GoT was filmed there - would fit well (it is a good show - even just for place spotting)
Hahaa! good on you for going up that gully with the lovely stream - feel for whoever lost their tent! lol.. grey day, but lovely - lots of potential pitches there, especially around the lake (though not much wind shelter)… the view of the beach was great, maybe do a coastal one for my next trip and enjoy some flatter land! atb Sinco
Cheers Sinco, yep lots of pitches though wouldn't want your tent down in one of those gullies so a calm night would be a must :-) Coastal walks and camps are brilliant and will have to do another myself :-)
Really enjoyed this video Gerry. The Sperrin mountains is somewhere we plan to visit soon . A very well put together Vlog , very informative with great video editing . Was laughing when you said about the tent...lol You should of packed the tent up for a channel give away ...lol
Cheers, Binevenagh is a great introduction to the Sperrins as it is so accessible with parking right on the summit. I don't think i could have even given the tent away the shape it was in ;-)
Hi Gerry wonderful terrain mate it reminds me of the area around the old man of storr and.Quiriang,..see you got your camera back working buddy, well done! until the next time :) Tim/Mandy
Cheers Tim, yep can see the similarities. This was filmed before the camera loss - it is still in getting repaired and hopefully will be back soon. I hope you are well :-)
Fabulous scramble up that gully gerry. I had a smile all the way up and then another upon seeing that waterfall. To think you are probably one of a handful that have seen that. Hey were they mountain goats there? Another cool sight. I liked this area jagged, wild, interesting, lively and with great views. Good going. End to end enjoyed that. Mark
Cheers Mark, we know it pays to go off the beaten track :-) Yep first time have seen mountain goats there. It is a really cool mountain, quite distinct from the rest of the Sperrins.
@@gerrymcveigh A pleasure gerry. Aaah it was the Sperins. Yeah it is different from the rest. I agree off the beaten track and you see things like goats and oh yeah hidden waterfalls.....
Lovely walk up through the forest there from the wee church. There is supposedly a cave in the cliffs somewhere but in all my years walking up round it I have never managed to come across it. I don’t suppose you know anything about it Gerry?
Just Beautiful Gerry thanks for showing us this lovely place and fantastic views
Cheers Rod, it is a brilliant place to explore :-)
Lovely scenery, a lot of water, very invigorating, great for the soul
Cheers Adrian, totally agree that it is good for the soul to be out in the mountains, whether in Canada or Ireland :-)
Great share Gerry , Binevenagh is a wonderful place and like you say in the video there’s a world of different paths to take 👍👍👍
Cheers Konrad, a different one every time in some way or other :-)

Colywn, Binevenagh is always good for a visit and so different in character from much of the rest of the Sperrins :-)

Nice video, we came down that waterfall on a rope last year. There's a fixed pin at the top.
Cheers Candice, i did think about giving it a go but know it wouldn't have worked for me - far too wet and slippery. A magical place though :-)
Nice video Gerry. Have the Sperrins next on the list.
Cheers Mark, there is plenty of walking there for you :-)

Gerry can't believe I missed you, did binevenagh last week the sun was shining though😎,great vid big man.
Lucky you to have seen the sun with the weather we have been having ;-) It is a great place to visit whatever the weather :-)
Love the loop of Binevenagh and the views.
Though still the Derry coast as Antrim starts after Portrush (13:04)
Cheers Mickey, i give Antrim too much credit ;-) it is a fantastic loop walk :-)
And I always wondered if those gullies led to the top! Good to know their a dead end though now
Still worth exploring even if have to come back down :-)
Brilliant video Gerry, really enjoyed that, one of my favourites places!
Cheers Martin, mine too :-)

It is a really cool walk. Haven't seen or heard of a cave, though there is a lot of cliff face there - keep looking :-)
Beautiful Ireland
Cheers Petros, a more beautiful place would be hard to find :-)
