Doesn't seem very accurate. He's exactly like Russell Wilson. Same size same athleticism same arm talent. They were both baseball prospects. To say that you can't compare him to anybody else and nobody can do what he does is not accurate. Physically the same. Mentally could be another story.
Scott Humphreys I think you missed his point. It’s not that his measurables aren’t comparable, the way he plays isn’t comparable. After watching every game of his this past year as well as most of Russell Wilson’s you can see a definite difference in the way they approach every snap.
@@shawnSTNCH - What's different? They both run and throw. I think you need to watch Russell Wilson's senior season at Wisconsin. ruclips.net/video/B8r7wLnb1xc/видео.html
Scott Humphreys you are way oversimplifying the game. Would two runningbacks of the same size always perform the same way? No, sometimes one will be more headstrong whereas the other might be more shifty. The holes they see and the way they maneuver is completely different with e every snap. That applies to quarterbacks. Kyler Murray ran a 4.4 40 yard dash upon arriving in Norman 3 years ago. He’s probably gotten faster, which is something Russell Wilson can’t do. Russell is a vocal leader, which to our knowledge Kyler is not so much. Kyler and Russell both throw well, but choosing when to run and when to throw is important, as well as being disciplined with your eyes and your progressions. There is so much that goes into quarterback that saying, “they both throw and run” just doesn’t cut it. So did Michael Vick but that wouldn’t be a good comparison because their playstyles are so vastly different

Great job! Really enjoyed your analysis. I am a Sooner fan and I doubt we ever see another QB as talented as Kyler Murray. He was beyond special; he was superhuman. Our defense was really bad, so there was constant pressure on Kyler and the offense to score every series, and he delivered. Yes, Alabama had his number for about 3 series, but after we spotted Alabama a 28-0 lead, OU won the last 3 quarters 34-17. I watched all of his games and I can tell you Kyler actually took his game to another level against Alabama. And Clemson benefited because he exposed Alabama's defense. They do have great athletes but they were often out of place, plus we didn't have Kyler's favorite target and deep threat, Marquise Brown, able to go. He played some, at about 40%, but still Kyler showed the will to win despite not having Marquise available nor getting much help on the defensive side of the ball. Not to take anything away from Trevor Lawrence, but he did have a solid, opportunistic defense at his back, and I got to say Bama looked rattled on the D side of the ball when they played Clemson. I think the workout they had against Kyler Murray put some doubt in their heads, and Trevor had the talent and confidence to put them down.

Great break down, however Kyler was challenged by the Texas defense in the Red River Rivalry game, it looked almost identical to the Bama game and he ran for over 100 yds on Bama
He throws with his baseball skills. I played baseball 24 years. That’s throwing mechanics of a baseball player mixed with football. Honestly this is the first time watching this kids tape. Great job.
He throws so smoothly. Because...well, imagine how many times he's thrown a baseball. And he's been doing that probably since he was 5 years old in t-ball.

The play at 1:17 is an RPO. OK most likely knew they were going to get that alignment inside the red zone. Once the safety commits to run support the slant is open right behind him. Great analysis!
Glad to see your channel growing. You do good work and deserve it. Please do a Kyler update on his NFL film. Especially if they beat NY next week. Kind regards.
Really good content, subscribed 👍🏻. Your breakdowns are well put together, cohesive and entertaining. Plus I am learning a lot about the details in football. Greetings from Finland!
Ok, I get Kyler Murray now. The Alabama game is a really helpful evaluation tool. I don't know that I agree with the Cardinals drafting him (in light of their other roster needs and The fact that they have Josh Rosen).
Marginal improvements at QB matter a lot more than big improvements at other positions. Let's say the most likely outcome for Rosen is that he improves to become a league average QB. If you think Murray will likely be a top 10 type of QB, you should take him because the difference from Andy Dalton to Goff is bigger than the difference between JAG#1 and Joey Bosa in terms of helping your team win.
@GTC Pohorex Last year, Rosen was objectively bad. Not that he's guaranteed to be bad in the future, but he had some glaring flaws against pressure. Getting better against pressure isn't easy. Ask the Carr brothers, Andy Dalton, or Sam Bradford how it it's gone for them. While having a great QB isn't a guarantee of success as you pointed out, it makes it a ton easier. The worst QBs in the playoffs were Dak Prescott, Mitch Trubisky, Lamar Jackson, and Nick Foles in no particular order. None of them made the championship game. The Saints and Rams both had strong rosters top to bottom, but Mahomes and Brady made up for significant deficiencies on their teams; Mahomes covering for his bottom 5 defense and Brady making up for the lack of playmakers on offense. You can win a Superbowl with a mediocre QB by having a historic defense (Tent Dilfer, Brad Johnson) or just by your QB or defense get hot in the playoffs (Eli Manning x2, Nick Foles). Usually, a top quartile QB is required to win a Superbowl because it's easier to be better at 1 position (QB) than at 5 positions to get an historic defense. Rosen is unlikely to ever be a top tier QB. Murray does have a real chance to be a top QB. At the very least, he should mitigate some of the glaring issues at O-line so that more resources could be devoted elsewhere. Derek Carr had a very good, if slightly overrated, 2016 season and is fairly similar to Rosen. To have that success, he needed one of the best O-lines in football as well as Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper in peak form. 2 years later, his line has taken a major step back and half of Oakland fans now want him shipped off for a ham sandwich and cap relief.
@@12jswilson really don't agree with goff being that good as you say, he is mentally not able to read defenses, although he can make every throw, kinda like Flacco with slightly less arm strength... you see, the patriots changed their defensive looks shortly before the snap in the superbowl, right after that window closes when coaches can communicate with their Qbs, and it totally killed Goff also, his game against the Bears in the regular season was terrible too. I don't know if it was for the same reason but my point is, Goff doesn't react properly to a tricky defense, just as Flacco doesn't maybe once he fixes that, in a few years with more experience under his belt and better film study, maybe then he can truly be an elite QB. Right now though he is heavily dependent on Sean McVay fo succes. I'd say Rosen is exactly where Goff was his first season, and just remember, many dubbed him a bust back then, so, with the right coach, Rosen could be just as good as Goff right now appears to be...
This was real good analysis of him. Always wondered if he was a dual threat or just a running qb. Many people will not like the idea but I think Kyler was the reason Bama got destroyed by Clemson. Look what happened once it was 28-0. They just basically torched the defense and made them earn that victory rest of the way. I never seen so many players go down for cramps and fatigue like that in ages. Then they play Trevor and company the next week. The guy has crazy talent. Heisman is for the most important player to a team and Kyler was that reason. Both losses he created a flurry of points at the end of the RRR and orchestrated 34 in the Orange Bowl. We should have been a 6-6 or worse because of our defense. He was so good the offense has been our defense the last couple years. I think if Hurts even runs into Heisman contention this upcoming season it will solidify Riley as the most dangerous coach in College. The man has literally been the QB wispherer. He can take even the most talented QB and elevate them to a level many didn’t think was possible
Keep doing what you're doing. I think you have massive appeal to people like myself who enjoy watching football, don't know jack shit about it, but is interested to learn more as long as it doesn't require any effort on my part. This is I think the 2nd or 3rd video I've seen of yours, and can confidently that I'm a fan of your content. You seem very genuine, knowledgeable, and passionate about what you do. I wish you all the best and look forward to following you on the bright future ahead!
I like your breakdowns as well you do your homework and you present it well . Your the news now thats how to approach it . I wish you good luck . I know some of the BBI Giants website including myself enjoy your takes !
yo brotha.. i like your speech. very well done. i will say that as an OU fan for all of my life, Murray along with Mayfield are both our favorite. QBs that is. When it comes to all time? Billy Sims / AD. That's all.
Well said, Zach. Strong opinion indeed, but this is what we need. If you can demonstrate to your viewers that these opinions are well-constructed, with true in-depth analysis that are framed with indisputable facts and gain their trust your numbers will grow. Keep it up, and never, ever fail to ask for the sale; the closer eats while the journeyman goes without.
‘Arm strength’ also comes from having big hands which as short as Murray is, he has. Ideally the bigger the hand the easy to throw tighter spirals. So like a bullet the tighter a projectile spins, the further it should travel.
I just got done watching your Rosen breakdown. So I figured I would check out your Murray breakdown, as well. It's another solid video but I do have a couple thoughts. I appreciate your take on his arm talent, there's no doubt he can make some incredible throws. But you were also astute in mentioning he was hardly ever challenged and his competition was often pretty weak. I'm curious how much one played into the other. There are a lot of guys who can make amazing throws. But put them under pressure and it's whole different story. Sure he had a good scheme. But I don't care what scheme he runs in the NFL, he will be challenged like never before. It has to be contemplated how he will adjust. Also, it may just be semantics because, while he may not be your typical "running" QB, he has to at least be considered a dual threat QB. I agree his default is to keep his eyes down field and move to throw, but he also ran for 1,001 yards. It can't be overstated how significant his threat to run played a role in his success. I'm very curious how that would translate to the NFL, especially long term. His highlight reel shows a lot of incredible plays where he makes defenders look silly and shoots tiny gaps to rip off huge gains. But I just can't help but be concerned with how it projects at the next level. He is exceptional, but there's no way he can take those types of risks and last more than a couple years in the league. I actually predict he will have some early success and possibly even be ROY. But as a Cardinals fan, for those who think we should scrap Rosen for Murray, I believe that would be a huge mistake given the track record of dual threat QBs. The NFL is a graveyard for guys who entered the league with electric talent but weren't able to sustain the same effectiveness over a 10 plus year career. And if we can't reasonably expect that, I don't see how we pull the trigger on that type of franchise altering decision. He's definitely worth a 1st round pick and he could possibly be the guy who breaks the trend. But I like where we're at with Rosen and I hope the Cards brass doesn't make any rash decisions.
kyler will be terrific at the next level as long as he doesn't end up behind arizona's OL. one day he'll raise the question about whether or not hes better than baker. it's certainly a question, in terms of potential.
Good shit dude. I 100% believe in the self-owned thing instead of joining up with the big wigs. I spread the word as best I can and I hope you make it as far as you want to go!

Ok, I get Kyler Murray now. The Alabama game is a really helpful evaluation tool. I don't know that I agree with the Cardinals drafting him (in light of their other roster needs and
The fact that they have Josh Rosen).
@@12jswilson really don't agree with goff being that good as you say, he is mentally not able to read defenses, although he can make every throw, kinda like Flacco with slightly less arm strength...
you see, the patriots changed their defensive looks shortly before the snap in the superbowl, right after that window closes when coaches can communicate with their Qbs, and it totally killed Goff
also, his game against the Bears in the regular season was terrible too.
I don't know if it was for the same reason but my point is, Goff doesn't react properly to a tricky defense, just as Flacco doesn't
maybe once he fixes that, in a few years with more experience under his belt and better film study, maybe then he can truly be an elite QB. Right now though he is heavily dependent on Sean McVay fo succes.
I'd say Rosen is exactly where Goff was his first season, and just remember, many dubbed him a bust back then, so, with the right coach, Rosen could be just as good as Goff right now appears to be...
All the Cards veterans are in awe during OTA's..they can't believe his quick delivery and accuracy.
Great analysis I've watched this tape, Dak and Lamar. Outstanding insight. I'm just here for my fantasy team
As a Texas fan, I love how almost every flaw pointed out was against Texas haha. Great video, excited to see what this kid can do in the NFL

This is the kind of video we want!
