I actually fixed the steering issue on my wife’s stock basecamp. Moved the servo horn over one tooth and shortened the steering link and hits the stops both directions.
Did this effect going straight? I’ve done this adjusted the end points now I can’t get it to go in a straight line. Is there a way to set the start point
hello, I have just bought an Axial SCX10 III basecamp builders kit and am looking for good recommendation for servos, ESC, outrunner motor, and r/c equipment and any decent reviews you may have
I'm gunna have to disagree with you on the steering servo, it's a pretty decent servo out of the box (not to say it can't be improved.) Instead I would suggest some High Clearance links on the rear. Mine used to get snagged up on rocks all the time after changing them out. That almost never happens anymore.
@@RCReviewChannel I think it’s the inner closed cell foam that slides on my boom racing bead lock. it’s because the boom racing wheel doesn’t have the indent to hold the foam that the proline wheel has. i’m trying to find a way to get them to not slip because i love the way they perform!
@@bp8__163 I stretch double sided tape around the beadlock ring... it's the only thing I've found that works out ok.... I thought about hot glue but I want to be able to take stuff back apart..
I just got one of these, only mod are wheels with brass rings and proline trenchers, then a 1080 and a holmes trailmaster 550 21t. I'm looking at brass portals, covers front and rear and then diff covers. Worth it or just do portal covers? Or maybe portals and covers?
Im not Francess lol, but it kinda depends on the size of the pinion gear, it's obviously not a racer but I use to have one in the Bigger Axial Gladiator and had no issues whatsoever, plenty wheelspeed and slow crawl to die for, I would of had no problem leaving it in my Gladiator but I got a killer deal on a HH 3300 Puller Pro so I swpped it in the larger Gladiator and now use the fusion in a comp crawler, as far as actual mph I honestly couldnt say never clocked it but it was plenty for what I needed...Best of luck
could u please explain again step by step, how u moved the servo to the side, for a better steering angle, i have tried it but i failed. And the shipping cost of the rc pirates is way to much. Thats why i want to do the free mod 😂
Can you please do a review of the new anti foams by 3 brothers rc vs proline dual stage. They seem cool and very modular because of the inserts but I’m hesitant to buy them over the prolines foams. Please and thank you!
@@RCReviewChannel I think you’d be best going for the standard “soft anti foams” then using the included tuning rods to make the rear a harder dual stage and the front a lesser dual stage. It’d be an awesome test
I generally agree with your list, but you really should include an axle side panhard mount brace (gspeed, bowhouse, etc.) That mount breaks with ease and can easily ruin your fun in as little as 10 mins of driving.

The guys over at rc pirates made a steering arm for this that works great
Awesome video brother! I always enjoy your content and I love my basecamp it is VERY impressive, worth every penny
It really is!
Very detailed & valuable information Frances, you kill it every time Brother, keep it up!!
Thank you. I get lucky sometimes
@@RCReviewChannel lol every time I guess ha ha
Nice killer upgrades. Thanks for the suggestions
Thank you. It really woke up this platform
I just ordered a blue Basecamp last night, so excited for it to arrive, I believe this is axials answer to the trx4 sport
Grest info, thanks! 👍 You have to believe that, at some point, Axial will release a Builder's Kit version of this platform 🤞
Can't wait! I bet it's coming
Always a good video. You teach a lot and thank you.Ciao Nanni
Thank you too!
You've done another excellent video.Thank you.
So nice of you. Much appreciated.
Good upgrade video, helpful, my friend👍🎶🤝
Thanks for the visit
Im looking for some foam for the tyres but the proline xl ones say they don't fir these tyres only the taller tyres
Great vid, any chance you can put a video together for the best updates to a Traxxas Slash.
What pion an gear are you running with that motor
Can this chasis be modded to fit the Killerbody LC70 body? Thanks for the great vids!

Are you going to get back to the Double E land rover with light fix and steering updates ?
How do you program the fusion pro motor to 7.4 volts?
Thanks…

I love my dual stage foams, but notice they slip after a crawl session. Any way of stopping them from sliding besides glue? Great video as always.
Interesting point. So they're not centered between the two layers? maybe a thin dual-sided tape between the two layers will solve it.

what wheels and wheel weights are they?
direct power servos are the future! I won't hardly look at a servo that's not direct power....

Covers is always the best since they can add much weight and they're lower to the ground
Cool! 🔥🔥🔥
thank you.
It would be awesome if you did a budget build of the base camp
That is a great idea
Hi can you tell me the max speed with that motor.
I'll measure soon. I'm using the stock gearing of the Base Camp

what size wheels are these? 1.9 or 2.2
1.9
I buy fusion pro 2300kv for my trx4 spor for expedition and i put fusion 1800kv in my scx10n3 base camp for climb

Will work on it. I wonder though which 3 brothers ones will match up

Hi rc review, what bodies can fit the Basecamp please? Thnx
I thought for mod number 1 you were going to say throw the body in the trash lol
For the steering why not just adjust the end points that way you don't have to mess with the steering horn.
Not adjustable with stock electronics.
I moved the servo arm adjusted the end points but now I can’t get the trim right at all😅
Stock radio?

This base camp looks like it has a strengthened panhard. Have not seen broken ones on this version
Quiet. No castle hum .
So quiet.
Another free mod is to take the ugly grille sticker off the front.
Oh yeah!
Base camp best kit without body, electronic jajajajaj
Yeah, that would be a Builder's Kit and it should be coming
"It's a decent motor"
Yet you want to change it, like everyone else that changes the motor for not
It is ‘nice’. This car deserves much much better. Esc as well.
has to be done --> FIRST!
well done!
