- Take a ride back to the times of the Carolina gold rush, the first gold rush in the United States. As you climb aboard our mine trains, you'll embark on an adventure that's full of hill-hugging turns, bluff diving drops and rich treasures.
Carolina Goldrusher is the oldest roller coaster at Carowinds, opening with the park on March 31, 1973. Don't let that fun fact fool ya' - this roller coaster is full of spunk and continues to produce as many screams as the day it was debuted.
This wood and steel coaster rips through the Carolina foothills at speeds of 30 mph and features two lift hills and a 43-foot drop. Some call this roller coaster a timeless classic, but one thing is for sure - you'll strike GOLD!
Height Requirement: 48” minimum
This was the first ride I ever did, and Carowinds is my absolute F A V O R I T E park EVER and nothing can change that, every time I ride this it's like I'm back to 7 year old me screaming my head off in excitement.
I miss the drop toward the water the Gold Rusher had in the 1970s. The park had lots of ponds then, and even a riverboat ride. I suppose they were a nightmare for mosquito control, but they were cool. RIP, old quirky 1970s Carowinds.
Thankfully the riverboat ride still exists in Disney World so it can be experienced. I agree though, the mosquitos would have been hard to deal with.
This is my favorite roller coaster at Carowinds because it's not scary but it's fun
Caroline Cylcone is my favorite
Those hills makes it seem like a big drop
AY QUACAMOLE I have done it it is really not as bad as people would say it's a very good ride
@@athenak3981 im 11 and i love this ride and when the drop is it feels like tour going fall out of the cart😂
Its a great ride
It's perfect for kids and the elderly. I've been riding this coaster since I was 7, and now I'm 54 ... see what I mean?
My favorite ride at Carowinds!!! Never take the Goldrusher out!
My favorite thing to do when you get to the top of the big hill is shout "GOLDRUSH haha just kidding" before it goes really fast, because it freaks my little brother out every time
My favorite coaster!!!
This Ride is my favorite ride at Carowinds I love it so much!!!
I'm going today yay
I just did this today!! The drop was insane
No it isn’t man 😂
@@sledge2105 bit everyone's a coaster enthusiast who rides fury 325

Fun little family coaster
Finnaly a good cgr pov
this was my second roller coaster, and i underestimated it
We beg our parents for them and us to ride this ride ever time we go to Carowinds
I rode this earlier today and my mom dragged me on it bc I told her to and it was so good and It was fun if you're scared just ride it it's fun! (A bit of word vomit but i still agree with this)
I miss the lake.
This ride is so fun but it needs to be a little bit longer
I have a phovia of coasters, but I can do this one I don't know why.
Yeah that’s how i use to be, i would be scared of big drops. Recently i got on copperhead and enjoyed it although my eyes were closed, and hopefully i’ll be able to get on fury next year because of covid there’s reservations which sucks.
I like to call this Fury 32.5
This is my sisters favorite ride
Very dynamic.
Does this thing really even need restraints? I'm pretty sure a properly secured lap belt is enough.
There are some sharper banks I think
I hit my hands on this ride
YES!
Hi people who scroll down these comments
Hi
Hi, mister meme wat doing I’m a YTPer that...
*Lives near Carowinds.*
Howdy
Hi
They should put these trains on Fury 325 before the season officially opens, you know a RUclips coaster channel will get some video of it and post it ..... The coaster enthusiasts on online and on RUclips would lose their freaking minds : )
The track gauge is different. As silly as it would be, it is impossible
You could though, probably put afterburn's trains on, which would be even sillier
@@Aerospace_Gaming I'd totally be down to watch a Gold Rush train go down Fury's hill and just go flying off the track into God knows where. Especially if they put sparklers and fireworks in the train. Do it on the 4th of July. Fireworks to close out the day and then finish it off with a Gold Rush jump into oblivion.
@@Aerospace_Gaming Also the side wheels on goldrusher are on the inside, Fury’s track is designed for them to be on the outside
Somebody removes this ride and somebody gonna get cut.
You are the GoldRusher
It ain’t that bad
