I remember riding Goldrusher when I was a kid. I think it was my first roller coaster! The park kinda grew up around it though. I remember when Goldrusher sat alone nestled in the trees while parts of it went over the water. I love mine-train coasters that are hidden in nature. It kinda takes you out of the element when there are giant roller coasters right next to you! Still though... I'm glad Goldrusher is still around. It's a great ride for kids and families.
I loved the dip to the water. I'm said that Carowinds has taken most of the water features out since the 1970s. I miss the days when the park was one quirky businessman's dream. Now it's run by a corporation, and IMO it's lost something.
My mother and I used to ride this one at night multiple times. I distinctively remember the smell inside the tunnel at the end. It was like wet wood and hot metal. Such a great ride.
I love the Goldrusher. I was at Carowinds so early in the morning and late in the season, there were no lines at all. When it stopped, they raised the lap bars but let us just stay on if wanted to ride again. Nobody got out.
I like how it starts off easy, with barely anything, then bam. Starts speeding and curving, ive rode it and i loved the curves. it almost takes you sideways and when it hits you it hits you good. Love this ride so much.
this is a good little ride! i live it because both my kids can ride it and they have so much fun on this thing.. i hope it lasts for as long as carowinds stays open!!
Gracie Williams yea ik some guy on the wind seeker just said please keep your hands and arms in the rollercoster mmmmmphmmmpmhjhmppp lol he just mumbled the rest
i just went yesterday and i was like wait y’all got a red train i got blue and green but it was my first roller coaster (because i’m a scaredy cat) and i loved it 10/10
I think this might have been my first roller coaster, either that or my second. I remember the tunnel sections! I think there was more nature around it at the time, though.
You don't really see a whole lot of arrow mine trains with this type of train, it's usually the more basic ones, that are actually even used on gemini and lots of others. but my home park Six flags GADV uses these designed one. They win because more fancy lol. This one does seem a bit short though, and older styled-I wonder if they replaced the trains at some point or bought used ones.
Better ride it all You can This was made by arrow it's getting extremely hard to find parts like I heard another person say they were telling Paramount's that they couldn't find replacement parts for our arrow log Flume
This is nowhere near the same layout as Big Thunder. The only similarities is that both are Arrow Mine Trains. Plus, Carolina Goldrusher couldn't copy it if it opened six years earlier.
Goldrusher- the one ride at Carowinds that everyone agrees to ride.
JLWide's Concert Band Channel yeah cause after burn and fury 325 does not exist
Sammy miller The leviathan well some people don’t like big roller coasters
Sam The leviathan I refuse to ride both of those
I mean you're not wrong 😂😂
After burn is the shit

Michael Scrip that’s why Adventure Express and cedar creek are still some of the best

The smell is one of my favorite parts! Happy I’m not the only one 😂
Yeah still does. Like kerosene.
It smells like dog shit at my local carowinds
Wet wood makes it smell moldy.
This is by far my favorite roller coaster!
Pharaoh fury cough cough!!
And plus it went like 2mph and it was like 10ft
I like things that make me feel freeeeeee
1:33 I don't like things that make me feel contained

"Whdjfjdkckfahhhhhhhh stskcjdjdjwkdjdjazgdhehaaaqaaaaqa sjejfkdjfjdjsjxgrjfifcqaaqqqqqaaaaaaaaa" - ride operator
That first curb hits you hard 😂and I mean hard 😂
One of my favorite rides at carowinds
I remember going on this on Scarowinds last year with my Dad. Riding this at night was crazy
I don't think we ever rode at night. Sounds fun!
I am realizing that carowinds needs their ride operators trained on how to spreak into the microphone
Joshua S ikr
Joshua S not true i went there today and they spokr perfectly
I remember when I went on Hurler with my step sister, the dude was literally rapping and shit. You could tell he loved his job.
I rode this at night and was ducking my head down during the tunnel part!
I love this ride. In the 80’s, you could see Smurf Island from it
it's even better at night
When I was 10 this was the extent of the rollercoaster I was brave enough to ride at Carowinds. Gold rusher and that was it! Lol!!
i just went yesterday and i was like wait y’all got a red train i got blue and green but it was my first roller coaster (because i’m a scaredy cat) and i loved it 10/10

I've been on this before and I liked it, how fast is it...what rides can I ride that aren't so high or too fast
I love Going on big Ones then returning to older smaller ones makes you appreciate them more
+mark40511 they just said that they LIKE how fast it goes. Don't force them to do stuff they don't wanna do
+mark40511 Ok
This is a roller coaster i would ride! :D
I love this rollarcoaster
Man. I remember way back when when the train cars were green.
A very nice video and fun to watch. Take care now.

I liked the roller coaster above it the Vortex this one gave me a cut on my ankle
The gold rusher roller coaster, that is one ride that tricks you into thinking it’s a little kiddie roller coaster.
love that ride!
Anybody remember the roller coaster white lightning @ Carowinds?
It was here when it opened it'll be here forever
I like this ride, I recommend
I've actually been on this. it was noice.
I love that ride I rode it 8 times
I hit my hand on a beam and had a real nasty bruse for weeks
Killmaster822 What beam did you hit & did you let the people of the ride know about it??
I don’t recommend this ride for tall people.
I’ve rode this ride almost 65 times, and it’s much faster than it seems in this video....
For a kiddie or family ride, it's really fast.
Lol, brings back alot of memories ^_^
What is the name of that end song btw? Been trying to figure that out for awhile now lol
2:17 me and my friend journey were riding it and she almost dropped her iPhone😂😂😂😂
OMG THIS WAS MY FIRST ACTUAL ROLLER COASTER AND I WENT ON IT 6th GRADE AND THOUGHT IT WAS TERRIFYING
same i went on this ride also in 6th grade
IN 3RD GRADE IT WAS BORING XD
who else made train whistle sounds throughout this pov ?
I like this coaster, but the seats are so bad
Better ride it all You can This was made by arrow it's getting extremely hard to find parts like I heard another person say they were telling Paramount's that they couldn't find replacement parts for our arrow log Flume
I was about to ride this but they had to stop the ride as soon as it was almost our turn 😤
That almost copies Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disney World
This is nowhere near the same layout as Big Thunder. The only similarities is that both are Arrow Mine Trains. Plus, Carolina Goldrusher couldn't copy it if it opened six years earlier.
:25 I laughed. Can't understand what the guy is saying.
I rode that today
why is no one talking about the op-
Where is windseeker
lmao my 8 year old brother cried on this ride
I dont know what the hell he is AUDIBLY trying to utter out through the microphone.

Are you scared of heights
The guy on the mic sounded like he’s high
It’s more intense in real life
United Statea FIFA World Cup 2022
I wouldn't be surprised if this gets taken out and they modified Vortex seeing how guys can't Ride Vortex Well Most Guys
Kevin Thompson they should rename Vortex Ball Buster
I also
This was the 2nd roller coaster I rode here in my opinion it’s nit the best
THRILLING😂😂😂
Where's the opossum?......just kidding.....that's on Big Thunder Mountain. :)
not not not not fun hahaha
Boooooo
this is so slow 😂😂😌
Gabe Armstrong It's an original ride, and a family ride.
I thought it was pretty fast when I rode it, I mean even for a kiddie ride/family ride, I guess it just depends, on what we consider fast vs. Slow.
Wow this looks awful
This piece of crap roller coaster outlived its fun at least 30 years ago, if not longer, and needs to be scrapped.
