New Control Arm with Ball Joint Set from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ASF...
Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, as well as integral ball joints that also wear. This video shows you how to install a new quality TRQ lower control arm in your 2007-2012 Nissan Altima.

    Thanks for your video.
It helped out a ton changing the lower control arms.
One thing I had to do different. On the left side, we had difficulty manuvering the axle to line up. I ended up removing the top bolt where the strut mounts and let it pivot down and fint the correct angle. Went back together smoothly after that.
    Thanks again.

I changed my lower control arms on 2014 nissan maxima.
If you remove the brake caliper and tie it up high as possible,
    remove the brake disk,
then remove the bolt to the sway bar that is attached to the strut,
remove the brake anti locking sensor and wire from around the strut,
remove the bolts that hold the strut and move the strut end to the left,
Now, the lower control arm comes out and goes back in free and clear, zero hammering needed including hammering the ball joint....I learned this from another video...
I did use a fork to separate the ball joint on the old control arm, but didn't need to hammer the ball joint on the new control arm at all. Also did not need to hammer the lower control arm bolts.
I put the two inner control arm bolts in first didn't tighten the nuts just started them,
    then the ball joint bolt,
then tightened the three....gives a little more wiggle room but probably didn't need it.
Then reattached the strut, sway bar end, anti lock sensor, brake disk and caliper.
Torque is 117 on the two control arm bolts, and 46 on the ball joint bolt.

I just did mine. Thanks. The easier way to me is to align it is to remove the two big strut bolts and you can play with it almost effortless to get the pin in. You should have there other two anchors point already in.

I just replaced my passenger side control arm last night… I think I said every cuss word known to man… at least 3 times. That strap trick would have came in handy. Definitely going to remember that when I do the drivers side.

okay guys so none of his methods work for me so i had a friend give me a hand and we found a way easier way. Remove the axle from hub to get more play out of the hub and then line up the two bolts before the ball joint is in place. take a 10mm socket and line up the top part of the two rear bolts with a pry bar of some sort. YOU MUST LINE UP 1 HOLE AT A TIME. Place the 10mm socket in place of the top hole while aligning the bottom hole. hammer the head of the bolt through fast so pop out the 10mm socket that was holding the bushing in place. Nobody will shoe you guys how to line the bushing bolts up so just give it a try if nothing else is working guys because the job is not this easy.
