      @@cf4461 On my 2015 Altima the bushings are cracked causing the car to vibrate a lot when I go 60+ MPH. I am also told this is what is causing my tire treads to be worn unevenly.

    You made this look so easy brother, thank you. What are the symptoms of having a bad lower control arm though? Because I have a nasty clunk on my front drivers side suspension and don’t know whether or not to do the full front end (lower control arms and both inner and outer tie rods) or just do the tie rods.

    • @DULLAHGOSOHARD
      @DULLAHGOSOHARD  5 лет назад +1

      Try a check each parts on by one and see which one is bad

    • @Atmarixx
      @Atmarixx Год назад +1

      One symptom is when you break, you hear a thump every time as if the engine is lose or something. I had changed all 4 engine mounts on my altima 09 thinking that was the issue. Turned out to be the control arms, don't know which side, so I'm changing both.
      I confirmed it one day as I was changing the transmission fluid and noticed that the driver side control arm had a little dent as if it was knocing metal on metal.

    Question! Why not just relive the axel nut and the two wish bone nuts to give you the free play to make sliding the control arm in? Should make it easier and not having to struggle? Good video. Have to replace them tomorrow personally. But having an impact driver imma take the tire off and the rotor off the axel so I have play! Gave me how I will do it! Hopefully it’s faster and easier!

    I was unlucky enough to have mine completely break in half while driving. Made it to PepBoys and when they diagnosed it, they said it would cost 1147 for part sand labor. I said no way I did this over a pothole, and once I looked it up there was a recall for my 2013 Altima SV as it was listed a manufacturer issue.Problem is, with this coronavirus situation all Nissan dealerships are closed so I'm left deciding whether I can find another place to do it cheaper or suck it up and wait it to open for the foreseeable future. Just my luck!!!

    • @lifeinlenz17

  • @derekkchung

    Set of 2 Bushings is $30 on ebay. If the arm is straight and the balljoint is good, can you swing out the arm without loosening up the balljoint and replace the 2 bushings while the arm is still in the car? I know, I am cheap.

    • @DULLAHGOSOHARD
