so I bought a 1999 f350 with the 7.3 powerstroke and am looking for some reliable horsepower gains aswell as torque. I watched all ur upgrade series and am definitely thinking about do a lot of them. my question is, what are all ur engine changes and hp/torque gains
To be honest, the engine is so loud on these cars just naturally that I can't hear the exhaust very much at all. It will be noticeable from outside the cab behind the truck but from the front all you get is engine noise. So ultimately, not a ton in my opinion.
@@8020Mediaok thanks. Going to be ripping ou the interior and soundproofing the floor, doors, and roof of the cab as much as possible soon. A quiet ride is SO nice and doesn't wear you out on long hauls.
You completely missed the most important thing to do before upgrading the exhaust. The biggest restriction in the 7.3 exhaust system is the Exhaust Back Pressure Valve. Upgrading the turbo pedestal with an EBPV delete and a high flow exhaust outlet makes a huge difference and you get rid of a very problematic oil leak on the stock turbo pedestal. All you really need to do is upgrade the turbo pedestal and delete the muffler.
Great to stumble across your channel

How much louder, especially on long drives, is eliminating the muffler going to be?

It's not really any louder, just a different pitch in the sound. Honestly I was very hesitant about deleting the muffler, but now I'm so glad I did.

The ebpv is not the biggest restriction. Oh i guess it could be if its stuck closed. Then its a big restriction.
Um your side marker lights are backwards. The red goes in the rear and the amber goes in the front.
