Hi Chris. You are so sweet to get in the kitchen and help cook. Sorry to hear Tammy wasn't feeling well when you cooked this for us. You're right about the jalapeno. They're not nearly as hot when they're fresh like that. Just leave the seeds and white veins inside and they add fantastic flavor to anything you put them in. I have a question for Tammy. I've heard that kidney beans are poisonous if they aren't prepared right. I've always used canned ones. Kidney beans isn't something I like to eat alot so I don't cook them from dry like we do pintos and white beans etc. Is it true that they can make you sick and poisonous? How are we supposed to cook them from dry?
@@CollardValleyCooks ok then maybe they didn't know what they were talking about. I figured if anyone knew it would be you Tammy. It kinda reminds me of polk salad. Perhaps that fella never made it for you again and that was his special recipe with potatoes ! His trade mark ! We have to keep our sense of humor ! Right ?
@@laurakerr3450 It might have been special to him but it was never special to me. It was edible, it just was not chili I had ate before and we were in a bunk house in Texas at the time. I am a Yankee and we never put potatoes in our chili. I can only imagine what the Texicans would have said about chili with potatoes, they don't even like beans in their chili, lol. I have ate a lot worse but I made chili after that.
I dont like kidney beans at all. Skin to thick. We use pinto, or chili beans. My daddy always used pinto and pork n beans in chili. I loved it because it made chili tad bit sweeter.
No basil...in chili. Basil makes me think of Italian food flavor. I like chili, garlic, onion, pepper, cocoa, sugar, salt and sometimes chipotle seasoning. People say Cocoa powder what....people please try 2 tbsp. Its life changing for chili.
Sorry that Mrs. Tammy wasn't feeling well; however, you are just too cute in this video :) Da Boss had to check to make certain you were doing it right LOL. Looks and sounds so very good; gonna have to try this recipe soon as it gets a little cooler :)
Howdy Chris!! ((((((((HUGS Tammy)))))))
You just kicked me um...to the delish zone! Always ready to taste new dishes! Yummy, yum! Doing the air fryer way.
Waving to you from south Georgia-land of best Peaches, boiled Peanuts, & Vidalia onions!
; )
That chili looks really good but I don't like it one little bit that y'alls Dawgs beat my Hogs! LOL!
LOL, Tammy's on the phone, LOL, that's so funny.😂😅🤣🤭🤭😁😆🤭🤭🤭
I truly dislike stewed tomatoes in my bowl of chilli.
LOL, Tammy you are a good wife to tell your husband how to the stinking stuff off the bottom of the pan.
I have never heard that
@@CollardValleyCooks ok then maybe they didn't know what they were talking about. I figured if anyone knew it would be you Tammy.
It kinda reminds me of polk salad. Mama taught us from when we were little that it had to be fixed right or it could make you sick. Alot of people don't know what to do if they've not been taught right.
TY for answering me. Whoever said that is obviously mixing it up with something else. God bless you sister
Delish! Good for our next game. Go Dawgs! 🔴⚫️🏈
