I have to give a special shout-out to Dr Chris for his most impressive Milgauss collection. Michael, you bring the best to your shows! And, another outstanding color match for the Z-Blue!! Thanks for your generous words, keep em coming!!!
What a craftsman 🤩.. The vintage Rolex buckle wow.. That’s one beautiful Rolex Really believe this particular colour will be a collector in time to come.. Fan from 🇬🇧
Just when I didn't think that your intros couldn't get any better...here comes amazing watches jumping out at me... great job brother. Promote your products and website on this platform. I pay $10.00 a month not to see any ads. You just used the Giardini at the same time I was applying my dense base coat on a Python Bracelet that I'm trying to figure it out. Thanks for the time on this stuff, it works great. I'm not a fan of edge paint...this works super good.
@@vianouche1 Thanks again! I would love to visit CERN someday. The last time I was in Switzerland was in 1988, so it's been a while. My wife, Linda, and I did a Silver Seas Scandinavian Cruise two years ago. Great time! Say "Hi'" to everyone for me, and please let them know about 'Strap a Watch'... MK
Another great episode Michael. If you'd like more exposure, I would suggest Instagram. It seems to be here lots of watch lovers are at the moment. I always appreciate the effort you put into making your videos so high quality, and watching you work with leather has always been inspirational.
Thank you Henry Lee! I do have an Instagram page, and was uploading videos on it a while back. Then, for some reason I just can’t really figure out, I kept getting these error messages after spending over an hour uploading and it would freeze. I tried several times with several different videos. They would get up to about 90% uploading and stop. The other reason I’m not on there much is because I’m slammed busy. I have over 80 watch straps on order right now. I don’t really need any additional exposure at the moment. If and when I slow down and have the time, then I’ll get back to other apps. I will be putting more still pics of just my straps on there in the near future. What I need is an assistant! Thanks again! MK
Thanks Artagain! I love my 556i. If you ever come across the white dial Weiss model, please let me know. I’ve been looking to add one to my collection for a few years. Glad you’re enjoying my shows, and I look forward to getting to know you better. Thanks again! MK
You killed this one Michael 💪 I just picked up an OP41 Royal Blue. I definitely need to order one of these straps now in that intense blue you use. Great job this week. Keep it up brother!
Great strap! Just a question. Is there any reason why you don't use a little bit of edge paint in the buckle holes instead of leaving them all natural? I usually put a bit there and use an awl to sort of "burnish" the holes. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. I get it that the one hole I use the most will probably lose its edge paint, but that hole isn't visible anyways, just the unused ones.
Thanks Alex, I use Tokinole in the buckle holes. These were done in Clear. Edge Paint won’t hold to the surface once the holes are burnished in with Tokonole. I showed this step on the episode that I put out prior using Brown Tokonole. It’s one of the last straps, so if you want to fast forward you’ll be able to watch how I do this. I never leave the holes “natural.” ClearTokonole may appear that way because there’s no color. Edge Paint would wear off and expose the leather real fast. I hope this helps... Hi Michael hope you are well and safe! I would love to enquire about a yellow alligator strap for a 36mm oyster perpetual :), what is the durability like, I work as a hair stylist, so wet areas
Hi Ploki! I’m sorry, but I don’t have yellow alligator in stock. You are actually the first person to ever request this. I have had several customers inform me that they wear their watches with leather and alligator straps while they swim. I’m always very surprised to hear that, and would never advise doing it. The straps are not waterproof in any way. I would recommend wearing a nato, rubber, or a bracelet working around water. Thanks, MK
Hi again Bunny Lou... Love the name by the way! Checked out Camilio’s stuff, and it’s super cool. Thanks! I currently use .06 on most straps, but I’ll also use .08 on certain straps, especially alligator. It depends on the overall look and vibe I have when I’m making it, and in the dialogue I have with the customer. When I first started exclusively making straps about two years ago, I was using 1.0 because it’s what I had in stock. On some straps it actually looks great, but I’m really into the thinner gauges today. MK

Curious what size tiger thread you use for watch straps?

Rolex has lost the plot. Why did they come out with the new communist colour watches?
