- On this show Michael highlights “The Beast,” Alligator Watch Strap that was dubbed by Oisin O’Malley of The Timeless Watch Channel. Having had dozens of requests to build the same style of strap for customers, Michael tells the backstory of Oisin’s Beast Watch Strap, and the two other straps he had also made for him. He shows how he packages his Watch Straps for delivery, and you get to see him make a Beast style of strap for a customer.

I honestly had never heard of this leather before. I checked it out and now know the animal it comes from, where they’re from, and saw various products made from this leather. Thanks for letting me know about it. I even checked with all of my current suppliers and none of them carry it. I always love learning new things about leather and leather products. With that said, it’s just not a leather that I’m going to proceed to seek after and work with right now. I have over 60 watch strap orders at this time, and simply too busy to pursue trying to find some hides. I’m not going to say never, and again I very much appreciate you turning me on to it. Maybe someday... MK

Absolutely! If you can get me the leather, I’ll make you the strap! I’d love to work with something new. It would need to be at least 5 inches by 12 inches. I can see you getting your hands on the shoes, because that’s where these “swamp pigs” live. I don’t know if anyone in The States carry it? We’d also have to check the laws, because some leathers are restricted to some countries and with shipping. Thanks again for everything! MK

Hi Michael, well I finally decided which watch I want my first alligator strap on; a Speedmaster that I just ordered today! It is the the numbered edition that is called the 'First Omega in Space' at 39.7 mm. The lug width is 19mm. I want a brown alligator- so which skin do your recommend? Also can you get an original Omega deployant clasp?
Thanks Bob! Very cool watch and I’d be greatly honored to make you a strap for it. I do not supply original Omega Deployant Clasps. That’s something you’ll have to order and put on the strap yourself. I bought the one for Oisin on eBay for $250.00. You’re going to want either a 16mm or 18mm Deployant. The 16mm will offer more of a tapered look, while the 18mm would look like a straight strap without a taper. That is your personal preference. Thanks Michael, the Moonwatch will arrive next week. The FOIS arrived and I found it too small for me so I'm sending it back and getting the 42 mm Moonwatch instead. I will order a band from your site once I get the watch. By the way, I have sent several email to your site and have not heard back. They were only basic inquiries so no big deal, but thought I'd mention that.
Hi Micheal, I received the Moonwatch yesterday. I ordered an original Omega deployment clasp from ebay. I think I will send you the clasp when I get it so you can fit it on the strap I will order. Pretty sure I want the dark brown alligator just like the one you made in this video. I have to take a minute to review your strap sizing video and fill out the info on your site.
