Is the covercrop also used as a bio fumigant ahead of planting potatoes or similar cash crop? Beautiful ploughing! I used to but due to no-till and min-till, I have to get my "fix" from RUclips. Thanks.
Something I don’t understand when I see European farmers plowing is they plow right the edge and spend significant time going back and forth between reverse and forward. Why don’t you just pick up the plow sooner and do a quick 180 and plow more end rows when finished? It would be much more efficient. Im sure there is an explanation so if someone can reply, I would appreciate it.
The idea is that you don't want to turn on the field where the crop is growing next year. The more you drive over it with heavy machinery, the more you 'compact' and 'close' the soil for the roots to grow next year. This Fendt has also the air system in the wheels, so they can adjust the tyre pressure for road conditions and field conditions. On the field they probably drive on 1 Bar of pressure to prevent compacting the soil aswell. Hopefully this gives a direction of thinking ;)
price per acre is high, plots are much smaller compared to the US so the yield per acre is everything. Hence they rather spend some more time turning on the headland then make more end rows with always have worse yields.
its not that much faster as you think. with a shorter implement you can turn that way in seconds, only reversing a few meters. "doing a quick 180" is more distance

@@franksmith7419you really can’t tell from a video like this, any of those things would be too small to make out properly on video.

Very nice,
What plant is that cover crop ?
Dont know for sure but it looks like radish (english) or bladrammenas (dutch)
Why do they have the mower on the front to chop up to cover crop before plowing?
the tractor plus the plow with GPS that's how you get such eye razor plow lines in the field.
What plant is the cover crop?
What plant for hay cover crop

Just wondering why you are cutting the cover crop before plowing it?
الله
I wouldnt wanna carry 7 down the road like that
You couldn't carry 1 down.

Such easy plowing conditions. Spoilt operator.
Puh das ist ackerbaulich so ziemlich das Schlechteste was man machen kann.

True. And the weight! I wouldn't have this ground pressure on my field. It looks cool but it's the worst for the soil.
