And I thought it'd be a good idea to come up with a game plan for where the Multiplayer should be headed from here on out. This is more or less, what I think 343i should do and prioritize for the next... however long. So check the time stamps if there's something in particular you want to see me talk about.
Can we stop promoting those garbage raycons? They literally cost twice as much as other earpods that sound way better. Raycons only have base. Nothing else. They are overpriced garbage.
Lower prices in the store, add a catalog that allows us to buy things individually, add challenges for armor customization, give us more game modes, put the currency in the battle pass and challenges so we have a way to earn them.
I totally used to love looking at peoples armor in Reach, like literally every game I would scroll through and check em out. Reach had the best customization
@@phantoms5307 reach came out with 4 modes after just 1 / 3 years depending on how you think about main games? no mtx iirc. it had customization and other most things in launch.
Would love to see Firefight added as a lower-pressure alternative for people who don't feel like sweating. Infinite's PVE is great, I'd enjoy having more now that I've finished the campaign.
@John Alden That's cool. So anyway I'm really excited for when they start releasing details about forge to see if any of the leaks remain true. Making my own firefight maps has been a dream since ODST. I can't wait to see what Halo Infinite can become :^)
343 should hire Act Man as community manager, he nailed the thoughts of everyone. I have no clue what they were thinking with the armor core system, just give us customization like Halo 3/Reach.
They were thinking "if only 1/10 buy the battlepass and 1/30 spend a hundred on store customizations, we can make double the money of a basic halo infinite game with vanilla multiplayer"
Honestly, it would be a cool opportunity to work for 343i. But idk how I would manage my channel and that. I'll keep my options open if they're interested 😎
Another large issue I have the sheer lack of map variety. They’re ALL forests with metal structures built over them. Where’s snow, canyons, maybe a neat river valley, a jungle, a misty cave, ANYTHING that’s not **Hyrule**. Also I think the social aspect is probably the most vital aspect of what made halo halo for me. I loved looking at pre game lobbies, seeing the badasses with high ranks and cool armors. Seeing people who use unique colors that no one else does. It felt so much more personal… modern gaming feels so… none unifying. It’s like we’re all playing single player games with advance AI. Instead of being a community of players
toowingles this comment is underrated. You nailed it, I couldn't put my finger on why I disliked the maps so much. The settings themselves are so similar and boring. And I agree with the pregame lobby stuff as well. Why in the hell are lobbies disbanded after each game?
nowadays though even when games have pre-game lobbies and global chat no-one ever communicates anyway. people are either too scared to talk to people, or too scared to get banned and completely lose their xbox/origin etc account for something trivial.
It's not just the lack of variety in terms of theme. The actual layout of most maps feels very uninspired. The maps in Infinite (with the exception of a couple) have this symmetrical 3-lain design that makes them feel very repetitive on top of the fact that they're artistically vapid. Even the worst Halo maps had visually striking art directions and felt unique.
I'm so glad someone with influence is bringing up cross-core customization. As someone who is big on making my spartan look cool, this is a major problem. It's frustrating because cross-core customization exists already, players just don't have access to it. But the community will clammer over armor coatings and not this when talking about this would also solve the coating problem. It's like buying a terrible pizza and going to the manager to complain about the slice you took instead of the rest of the pizza. Edit: One more thing I forgot to bring up. Act Man said it would take months for something like that to happen. Would it? We’ve seen that armor scales to fit around the core you pick, same with coatings. This isn’t even mentioning bots in game already have this. Wouldn’t they just have to do is make a menu system that would allow you to pick armor and cores in an organized way? That doesn’t seem like something that would take even a MONTH to do. Then again, I’m not a developer so I won’t die on this hill.
It ironically discourages me from buying stuff from the shop. Saw the chest piece with the teddy bear and though it was super adorable, and would have gotten it if it wasn’t locked to the armor core I never use and can’t use in conjunction with the ODST helmet. Honestly a baffling decision
23:12 That one really hits me hard. My heart dropped when I realized that I couldn't track the medals I've gotten in Infinite. It made getting all those cool medals kind of pointless tbh.
Ditch armor cores but keep the “armor core stands” menu thing so you can create multiple load outs for your spartan, that’d be awesome (and encourage buying armor pieces since you can have multiple outfits).
I think armor cores need to stay in some capacity tbh. They do allow for more options since now the actual core of the Spartan can be swapped out, since all of the options are the extra things that go on top of it, like helmets, shoulders, etc. That said, they are pretty limiting in their current form and definitely need an overhaul.
"infinite is really fun we just want more ways to enjoy it" that's exactly how I feel it is fun it just gets boring when you forced to play 5 game modes
What you mean is you want to choose the game mode. Most people play slayer and dont touch other modes. I agree we need dedicated playlists for different modes, but i liike quick play because its the moat variety i ever had in halo.
They need to add a blocking button so it could minimize the damage of those booty nade spammers but make it a one time thing so it isn't too op. 343 please make the spartans feel like spartans by adding this like come on itll be badass to get in a little fist fight with somebody like in halo 3 when you could clash swords with somebody!!. Just think about how sick itd be to finally block with the energy sword, it would boost up halos uniqueness from other FPS games too.
I'm so tired of getting recommended second-rate youtubers ranting about everything Halo is doing wrong... That's why I'm glad you're making videos, Act Man. You actually try for content, rather than just putting out a video for every slight controversy you can find for the views.
@John Alden No kidding. My brand new 3060 laptop can’t even run the game on average settings without stuttering every few minutes due to overheating which never existed with other games Edit: I just realized that my pc is using an AMD graphics card which is different from Nvidia cards
@SpecialForce_ _117 have preformance issues on my top of the line PC with a 3080ti it's fucking unreal how horribly optimized campaign is. I have to play it on medium for it to run decent. This shouldn't be a problem at all with the hardware that I have.
This is one of the best vids you have ever made. The edit, the clips, the way you have everything outlined with good and clear positive feedback. This is why I'm subbed. Not to mention the music cues, I wholeheartedly agree with every single point you've made.
Back when there was a sense of pride and dignity in the game developers, and a sense of respect for consumers. AAA games aren’t really games anymore, they’re a monetization service and it sucks.
think about the ridiculously realistic graphics and complex game mechanics they're doing now compared to those days... it's just objectively more complicated to produce things like that. of course it takes a long time to make them. the other option of course, is to wait another couple years for each game to be released.
I supported armor cores in the beginning when they revealed them because I was like yeah certain pieces would look pretty ugly with other pieces thus making the game a lil ugly and it makes since in the lore, but after seeing how little freedom and armor combination options we have it’s an obvious no brainer to ditch the core system barriers. It just takes away from the player being able to be unique and make a masterpiece of all their favorite armor pieces on one Spartan! And for the few people saying it won’t work look at the bots! They have cross core armor and it looks AMAZING, doesn’t clip at all! Let’s voice our opinion to 343 in a Bold, pleasantly persistent and respectful way and I’m sure they’ll change it!
@Black Man That doesn't make sense, if they wanted more money they'd make you buy the same thing twice, once for each core, but every item is only on one core, so you can only buy it once. The amount of money they get is the same either way so that's obviously not the reason.
@@nicthornton2550 well yeah they did for sure lol but I still probably think certain samurai armor with certain Reach armor would look pretty bad together but I don’t think that’s more important than letting people have their freedom because more often then not the combinations look great!
Something I’d like to see added would be rewards for finishing the campaign on legendary, and more so for LASO, something like helioskrill armor from halo 5 for just doing legendary and the eternal blue flame from reach for LASO which seems even more fitting since the skulls themselves have the blue flames… idk just some food for thought
I’m just really confused why I don’t see more people talking about the awful campaign story. Like none of my friends enjoyed it at all, the story is just WACK. If they wanted a hard reset on the franchise there is WAY easier ways to do it than an offscreen-before start universe destruction basically
@@MartyCart I hate that your not wrong, especially given how they don’t have rewards for hitting onyx rank, it really is staggering just how little is in the game, it feels great but so much is still just not there. Everything being for sale is not good when you can’t even earn much of anything…
@@sanguine2552 I thought the campaign was ok, nothing to be wowed by however I don’t think it’s terrible, weird how much chief speaks coming from bungies halo, but overall I’d give it like a 6-7/10 maybe that’s just me?
@@sanguine2552 yeah I was hoping the entire campaign was going to be action and lore packed like the intro but they blue balled me hard. Especially after that intro. Like wtf it's just boring ass talky talk and no good fight scenes after that. It's gonna be sad if they introduce the flood the same way. Cool ass cutscenes but playing against them feels hallow and empty.
"Make sprint 5x faster. Bring back armor lock." "This is the true face of heresy. One who would subvert out faith and incite rebellion against the high council."
The whole thing with sprint is that making the sprint faster would result in players traversing the map too fast. If you are able to spawn and get across the map in like 3 seconds it ultimately removes the punishment for dying and the advantage for getting kills. It’s the problem halo 5 ran into because people would just rush the points and just pretty much throw their bodies at the enemy until they won
It would be cool if they introduced a Flood horde/survival mode called Outbreak with 8 players…..just an idea 🤷🏿♂️ increasingly stronger and numerous enemies utilizing the Fob system they use in campaign. Not to mention Boss fights
I've always wanted a firefight: containment game mode that's basically like Treyarch cod zombies but in halo fighting the flood. having stuff like mystery boxes and perks and wonder weapons and Easter eggs with story lines separate to campaign but canon in universe would be awesome, imagine following a team of spartan IV characters that specialize in flood containment and all the crazy shit they get up to. and there's so much stuff exclusive to halo that can make it more interesting (vehicles?!).
@@orangedalmatian you’re on to something here. I would love for them to build off of this. Perhaps maybe even create objectives for you that incentives teamwork like having the team split in half so one team can go secure power weapons/vehicles for the group while the other stays and defends the core of the base or something like that. Your idea of the game being built around a specific containment team is great because then every player might have a name like in Zombies. The possibilities are hehe………infinite
I honestly want to see firefight. One thing I loved about MCC was the option to advance via PvE as well as PvP. Firefight would be a fantastic first step to that. Even something akin to Spartan Ops could be viable considering the Academy has this sort of pseudo story going on it wants to imply.
XP definitely needed to be added for how well you’ve performed in the game. Also for MVP, we need medal for that with big xp bonus to go with it. It encourages playing the objective.

Remove ‘Armour Cores’ so we can wear armour pieces from any set just like the bots can do, cheaper prices in the store / a battlepass discount, a way to earn credits and a catalogue that allows you to buy ANY specific armour piece (unless it’s in the battlepass)
@@dexterslab3 none of that is remaking the game, these are things that are clearly able to be implemented into the current game considering the changes already made.

sorry i was high when i said that. but everyone is complaining about the battlepass and that. like yeah cool i get it you want to level up and look different but its like the start of halo reach, everyone looked the same but its been out for 10 years now and no one looks the same because theyve added roman armour
I would hope they eventually add the things we each love to the game, such as firefight, certain pvp modes, forge, playable elites (perhaps a swords of sanghelios campaign), flood campaign dlc (with perhaps a few of the more liked promethean weapons plus classic options to fight the flood with). All Eventually of course.
I feel like 343 missed an opportunity to have the armor unlocks be available in the campaign by having them unlocked when encountering a dead spartan (Like when you unlock the threat sensor and drop wall).
Yep that would've been a nice fluid way of giving players Armour for multiplayer alot of missed opportunities so far with this launch but the campaign is awesome
If this is going to be the only halo for ten years I personally want campaign extensions. And/or a part were you play as an ODST or Marine extension would be super cool
heres a even cooler option: a campaign extension where you play as a banished elite or a banished brute, kind of like the awakening a nightmare DLC from halo wars 2 except its in a fps and it might even allow us to even play as elites or brutes or both in game modes like Firefight if they add it which would be cool as with having playable elites and/or brutes in game modes like that theres bound to be armor customization for it with maybe the most basic armor for brutes is no armor at all just the leather clothing they wear underneath the armor
@@odstp1tv1pr37 the idea of making brutes playable would actually make sense if they added the ability to play elites considering the banished were originally operated by brutes an another cool idea is if they added playable brutes is that whenever you play as them you don't have shields however you have more melee damage and a little more health than an unshielded player which could add more variety on how you play
@@Blue_Fire-Chibi would have to have way more health then because if you don’t the brutes would just die very fast. I’ve only played campaign cause I don’t have internet, so idk how it would effect multiplayer
I feel like a good way to add some extra customization would be to disable the attachment limits to let us mix and match them so we can recreate some of our favorite halo reach helmet attachment presets that would mix and match attachments
well there's gotta be some limit due to placement, like you don't need the BASIL attachment on and the PROFORMA attachment on at the same time. but if we wanna wear like the SABERTOOTH and DROCTULF attachments we should be able to
💯 agree. I bought a spacestation (black and yellow) core thinking i could mix and match it there needs to be disclaimers. Were all going to end up looking the same if they dont let us
I love PVP but I also love Firefight. I really, really want to hear 343 make a comment on what they are planning regarding that. I played a crap ton of H5 and I’d always switch over to Firefight when I wanted to feel less pressure while playing. They could easily set it up that you earn Valor for your performance and can summon in weapons and vehicles by spending that in each match at FOB’s or something.
One thing 343i should add is rewards for hard achievement's like LASO so people know to be scared when someone has a special helmet or armor coating but I think just a emblem doesn't give these hard achievement's credit
Ahh you mean like me running around with herioskill in halo 5, most people would be afraid until they realise I’m bang average at multi but that’s kinda hilarious within its self.
I really would've enjoyed it if we could unlock armor pieces in the campaign, coating and emblems are nice but it would've been even better to have actual armor pieces. Maybe have outposts or enemy groups that protect these armor pieces, but with a strong main enemy you need to defeat in order to reclaim the armor or something.
Yup, missed opportunities because: money. I can't stand watching people fuck shit up for the sake of protecting their ability to never actually work for a living.
Reach was so damn good when it came to progression. I would play every once in a while for the last 10 years to try and get the armor I always wanted. All through firefight, multiplayer, and doing the campaign. So rewarding to play the game.
Yeah I’d they want people to play their game they need to just need to implement a Updated and Unique Reach style Progression system, lower prices and give more stuff for free and by playing the game.
@@srccretdude123 yeah, and less grindy than season passes, allows you to pick what you want. I think they should have removed rank requirements to get items though.
100% agree on the playlist options! This would make the MP experience feel so much better. The lack of a progression system is disappointing and the lack of a service record is just unacceptable. There are way too many tokens in the Battle Pass. They should have added credits to it and make the swaps and tokens a second reward for a tier and not the only reward.
I don't like your all time K/D just because of objective games your KD doesn't tell the whole story of a player. So for that reason I don't mind it not being there
Armor coatings are inexcusable, imo. It's hilariously bad that they got rid of the ability to choose your colour, and then dressed it up like it was a good thing.
If 343 were to abandon the armor coatings, I wonder how they could reimburse the whales who actually paid for armor coatings. As much as I dislike armor coatings, I feel like if someone actually paid $20 for one, 343 can't just take that away. At the same time, if they let us customize our colors freely, some coatings become worthless (arguably already are worth very little!).
A way they could do Coop in Infinite, is letting people drop into your game as their multiplayer Spartan. This makes it somewhat lore friendly, there aren't two chiefs running about anymore.. and it would even be cool to have A.I Spartans summonable from FOBs in campaign.
A few specific things i personally want to see is infection, the EOD helmet and also a replay mission feature for the campaign so i can go back and get the skulls and audio files that i missed 💀
@@grandleaderowen5516 UNSC audio logs? Ive tried going back to the house of reckoning to that audio file but you cant get to it because its out of bounds

I feel like Infinite should’ve made their Battle Pass progression like MCC’s, where you can get a point from ranking up and completing challenges and use that point to unlock any item in the pass in a given section.
I’m terrible at forge, I’m gonna be honest. But I’m really creative and would love to create maps and the games I envision, I really think they should add a building snap toggle, it would be really user friendly, especially to the forge noobs like myself and it wouldn’t affect the OG forge experience as you could turn it off.
Halo 5 had this. Halo 5’s forge was the best innovation that game had and nobody talks about it. Forge is INCREDIBLY in depth in that game and gives you so much control.
@@FaithfulMoose ah right, we’ll hopefully 343 doesn’t get rid of every great addition halo 5 made. I think I probably stopped playing 5 when forge came out on it ngl, played MCC instead because it got fixed a little at the time.
Honestly, some of the best memories I've had in Forge wasn't creating the best map ever. It was me and my cousins using objects (killballs and grids were a favorite) to absolutely murder each other. I'd actually have to take a youtube break because of the amount of wheezing laughter. I definitely didn't use forge mode the way they intended 🤭
We should’ve had more control over the marines during battle, like calling in an extra warthog for support while rolling in a scorpion or giving them an target to attack at least
I really disliked how distant the Chief is from the rest of the UNSC in the campaign. Half of the campaign is spent running around saving marines, but nothing comes of it. There’s no massive battles or the feeling of brotherhood with other Spartans or marines. Shit, they barely exist outside of like 3 missions.
@@Aredel things absolutely do come from saving marines. There can be large battles. There absolutely is feelings of brotherhood with the marines and spartans. You can’t say otherwise because that’s subjective.
I definitely agree w more control over marines! I was shocked we couldn’t carry multiple marines on the scorpion. Also agree would have been cool to get a second razorback or call in warthog to carry more marines. I’m almost done w the campaign and enjoy the open world. For campaign sake I really hope the devs add more units like odst dropping in or maybe even Spartan companions. I really love all the Spartan Audio recordings and made me think we’d get companions at some point.
Color customization is the #1 biggest issue for me. Taking away the ability to freely choose our Spartan’s colors like in Halos 2, 3, Reach, 4, and 5, only to sell it back to us in an extremely limited way is beyond scummy. There are so many different color combos I want to try but I just can’t because they either cost too much, or just straight up don’t exist and probably never will! I think the solution to this is allowing players to freely choose their colors like every other Halo game, and instead make Armor Coatings determine the distribution of said colors, such as a classic three-color camouflage pattern where you can choose any color? Or what about a fish scale pattern? Synthwave-color zebra stripes? Maybe just really shiny armor?
Exactly, in Halo 3 and Reach you had 900+ color combinations for free the second you booted the game up. Technically 3 had like 27k combinations, but I’m not counting the tertiary options.
Yeah progression needs to have a halo reach like rank structure. Feels like everyone just plays the game for the challenges and ignores the objective making it very frustrating for people who want to play to win or have challenges that require you to win.
The main issue I have with halo infinite at this point is the customization. Why do they separate the cosmetics with each core? Why do some colors work with some cores and others don't. Its so stupid. Like with the samurai core, I understand that being its own core. But besides that. Let me mix and match my unlocks. Let me have free range to customize my sparten the way I WANT TO.
This has been bugging me a lot as well, especially with the variety in customization, like they have a lot of cool designs but I hate the colors that are with them, I wouldn't mind paying for the designs but I should be able to use the color combos I want
This is exactly the kind of criticism that 343 needs to hear, It's coming from a die-hard Halo fan, who loves the community and just wants to see the game thrive 😎
That's EA not 343 halo 5 forge mode was for free for PC of course and if it does happen they will get a bunch of flak by the fans The closest thing that might be monitized is forge sparks skins.
I feel strongly that primary and secondary colors need to come back even if it's a limited selection, coatings alone are just way too limiting and doesn't really offer much choice when were talking about presets. I want to be able to have that freedom to choose colors I like and right now I've basically only got a handful of colors and I'm already bored with them. Ideally they really should have found a way for us to color individual armor pieces and simply have color scheme types similar to Warframe which does F2P customization perfectly in my opinion. The best part is they can still make plenty of money by offering really good coatings on premium that people want to buy while allowing new players to feel more or less comfortable with their look especially since the armor pieces are being drip fed through the slow progression. I don't feel like enough content creators are really talking about this and they need to.
@@owensmith6517 I hear ya but I feel like we gotta at least try and despite all the fair criticism from these big youtubers they keep glossing over how bad coatings are and it's just really disappointing that they're not even trying to mention it because it really is a big part of customization as much as armor is. At the very least they should let us combine two coatings together somehow.
The starter coatings are also extremely ugly to look at compared to the ones they offer in the store which are the exact same color, except it's a better shade of red. It's clear where their priorities are.
i disagree, while the coatings should definitely be able to be equipped on every armor type, it was still very annoying to choose cool spartan colors in 5 and then have them only show up in like infection and stuff. i think the friend or foe system is a good move to allow for color customization to show in game more
its like we got to play 4 different versions of the silent cartographer xD oh cool another forerunner building nice. other than the very very first mission of course.
"You can't charge people five dollars for the color Blue and expect them to be hyped" And that really is a Microcosm of everything wrong with Halo: Infinite's monetization and customization system: Too much money needed for too little gains. It's no wonder people are avoiding the store like the plague.
@Lick Tasty Especially when said knife was literally there by default on the original Reach chest armour. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that shit lol
Except these concepts and prices aren't new and have been in other games. People paid for a 3$ weed camo and loved it others bought a 3-5$ (don't remember exactly), for a snoop dog ANNOUNCER PACK. People complaining bout this stuff now literally have been living under a rock its nothing new, the game is free and in gamepass it has to make money somehow. Also no one is forcing you to buy and there moderately priced. For example I seen games that have 34$ for just 1 outfit for 1 character and no one complains. The people who complain are people who listen to some dumb yt. Not talking bout act man btw, he cool.
@Lick Tasty yeah i agree, they changed the price of the credit from the store but this need to do the same in the actual cosmetics. like they’re really charging $10 for a visor and a bunch of emblems 🤦♂️
@@Shadow-yx1fo Bruh the only people ok with this type of monetization are people who don't mind spending money recklessly or weren't into gaming before yhese mobile trends weren't a thing. Lol But you are definitely right, Halo has to make its money back since it's basically free.
I’d say sprint is perfect as is. The speed doesn’t prevent normal running from being a viable option in multiplayer. 343 handled sprint very well this time around.
I’ll never come to terms with sprint in Halo. My biggest gripe is the delay between sprinting and shooting. Wish they’d get rid of it and keep your reticle up while sprinting.
We didn’t realize how good we had it with Halo Reach. Really hope they implement Halo Reach progression and service record. I’ve already finished the battle pass, and now I have nothing to do but the weekly challenges for a random reward that usually isn’t that special.
I understand why they don’t have the reach progression because typically The progression makes people sweat more. If they want better armor, they have to sweat their balls off. I don’t think it should be exactly like that but if you go positive, you should be able to get extra XP. Or if you have the most Objective time you get some extra XP. Something that doesn’t make people sweat their balls off but also some thing that motivate people to play the game.
@@itschewsday5252 I think they need to incentivize winning matches. There’s already SBMM from what I can tell, and I’m good enough that I get a lot of sweat enemies. So I atleast want my teammates to be pushed to want to win.

Honestly the playlist update will definitely help a lot for me, personally. Having said that I stand by the fact that I consider the core gameplay here (and artstyle too) to be very good. The things surrounding that core gameplay could still use some work. Performance on PC, playlists (starting to look better already) mtx/progression etc could all do with some more stuff of course. But not being forced to play several rounds of oddball (man do I dislike casual oddball...) when all I wanted was a quick match of slayer at the end of a long day of work is going to already make a big difference for me lmao
They did improve performance with the latest patches at least. I'm running 1 TB WD HDD, 8 GB DDR3 RAM, FX6300 AMD CPU, 1050 Ti Nvidia GPU. A few weeks ago it was unplayable, with tens of minutes of loading screens for each 4v4 map and gross stuttering. Today? I load into BTB in 2 minutes, no stuttering, tearing. Nothing.
I agree heavily on the ideas Act Man has presented, especially the freedom that was given in prior halo's with community designed games. Because not only will there be a plethera of unique game modes and community inspiration within halo infinite and the new mechanics but also grand potential for 343 to utilize popular game modes created by us Halo fans.
i kinda wish the campaign had 1 more zone. i was expecting to at least have a small snowy biom as a callback to assault on the control room, but didnt get it, only grassy, rocky, wooded areas. liked the campaign tho, was nice to have a halo game where you could really use the vehicles like vehicles.
Also, the Scorpion needs a massive buff in the campaign. Not only does it need more durability so it can survive more than two, maybe three Wraith mortars on legendary, but they need to re-add the seats on the treads. Right now the Scorpion is worthless compared to the Razorback thanks to how OP marines are in this game.
@@VeraVemaVena yeah i miss loading up the scorpion with marines. it also drives kinda bad, i found it more difficult to turn than usual, seemed to always want some forward momentum making you turn when you want to rotate.

Something that I can't get over, is the fact that when you expand your FOV, the character's legs disappear. It looks very weird because you leave footprints, but have no legs. And they say it's "intended" to be that way, even though MCC lets you see your legs no matter the FOV.
@@ramika2642 It was supposed to be, but I submitted tickets about it, and they said it's working as intended.🥴We should spam this ticket there for them to fix it. HSUAHSUAHSUAHSU
If my time with Warframe has taught me two things it's that 1. Free to play games should give you an experience so good that you *want* to give them money, not give you an experience so limited that you feel coerced into giving them money. And 2. Giving players a truly deep visual customization system is never a bad investment. Nobody complains that they spent two hours tweaking their armor appearance into exactly what they want. Fashion is the true endgame and it can carry a free to play game very far if you don't hamstring it behind nonsense like paying $10 for a single shade of blue.
I strongly feel the vehicles should return to the Halo 3 style health system, in Halo 3 the vehicle health was linked to the player's shields. you could blow parts off the vehicle and set it on fire etc but until the occupant shields were dropped you weren't blowing up the vehicle and most of all it wouldn't cheaply glow red before exploding giving them a chance to escape. Also seeing that cheap red glow vehicle destruction effect in Infinite's campaign makes it feel even worse. There's also the massive issue of vehicle physics which seem completely off, if you so much as try to climb a rocky hill in your Warthog you'll find there is no grip on rocks and they feel like the suspension is made of just springs with no shock absorbers causing them to bounce around far too much, I actually feel like the vehicles in Halo CE had better physics.
I bought a team skin and was instantly disappointed when I realized I couldn’t customize it or use it on other armor. Haven’t spent a dime since in the store 😂
I seem to be the only one who seemed confused why there was no type of free customization. Why is there nothing to work towards without the battle pass?
@@savy4266 Warzone does not have customization unless you buy that years current CoD. I don't own any of the last 3 and have zero bud. Not to mention if you don't buy those games you get screwed over in options for custom classes to use cause it takes forever to lvl a gun in warzone.
@@kingcaesar3693 even if you buy the games there’s still pretty much nothing to unlock outside of gun camos without buying the BP or store garbage. Cods the absolute worst with this shit
What I find is odd is that not many games now have map voting. The Halo 3/Call of Duty 4 era had map voting in most games, but now that feature is absent
The reason they don't have a lot of obvious things that should be in the game first day is because they want people to pay. The alternative is to grind with all the inconveniences it brings until players get frustrated and just decide to pay. They're most likely gonna keep it up until may and then change things slowly based on how much people criticize their actions
Been a subscriber for 4 years now and this all feels like a culmination of the time we’ve all spent fawning over these games. The good the bad and the ugly, we’ve all been waiting for this game and I love looking forward to what you’re gonna say about it. What a time to be alive. Keep up the great work act man, love your videos!!
I'd really love to see some sort of PvE multiplayer mode. Something in the vein of firefight or spartan ops. Oooo boy, if we could get a reach style firefight that let us pick all the options for waves and stuff, with all the new units in Infinite, it would be so fucking cool.
One of the best ways to unlock armor could be through fighting a monthly boss on campaign. Set up a new boss and kill him and his crew to unlock new armor or accessories. Kinda like destiny.
I'm so surprised they didn't have more unlockable armor in the campaign. Would incentivise people to buy the game and play the story. More game = longer shelf life.
Hey Act Man and community. One thing I’ve noticed is they seem a little more in touch this time around. Like even with small things like the first challenge Hello World. Like that’s an episode and plot device in the current Arby n the Chief. I don’t know if that’s just a coincidence or a reference to something else, but small things like that make you go hmmm 🤔 . Before it didn’t feel like they cared or listened with Halo 5. With the updates it doesn’t not feel like that. Does anyone else notice this or are things like Hello World just a coincidence? Apologies for the long comment. Love your stuff Act Man.
So while exploring in the campaign, I came across the wreckage of a vehicle that didn't look like anything in the game. Seeing this now, it looked an awful lot like that skiff, what was left of it.
Honestly I feel like the biggest problem with infinite is that factor that makes me want to keep playing. There’s nothing to grind for and don’t get me wrong the customisation and armour design is awesome but it’s all in the store that I have to pay for with real money. I guess this is what I expect from a free to play game. I feel like without any player levels or medal or match xp the only reason to win a game is to well... win the game? There is not motivation knowing that if I want cool armour I will have to whip out the credit card. I just with there was a better progression system that made it feel rewarding to grind like reach. I just really wanted this game to do well. After games like cyberpunk and battlefield 2042, please please just let us have infinite.
I loved unlocking armor through achievements like Halo 3 did. Halo Reach even awarded you with CQB, the Marine helmet and more for getting certain past halo title achievements.
I wish it never went free to play, too late now obviously but it really sucks that I have to pay for things that used to be included as part of the game
They could totally do a tonne of different AI for different Halo content creators and competitive e-sports players who would like to record lines for it
I love that new game modes are rolling out already, but the number 1 thing I’m truly waiting for is Forge. It was hands down my absolute favorite part of Halo 5, and assuming Infinite’s Forge is like 5’s but built upon, I’m beyond excited for it to launch. It sucks that we have to wait so long for it though.
I think the main issue with no long term progession system is that when players finish the battle pass and there is no event on, there is no real incentive to play. You could say that there is still the ultimate reward every week but that's only one item. I also have story about this... Last season I was playing just before season 2 was about to come out and at that point, I had the battle pass complete and there was no event on. I was purely playing for the ultimate reward. I ended up leaving it quite last minute by accident and I also got kicked off the game an hour earlier than I had anticipated for the season 2 update. I then didn't get the ultimate reward and had essentially played for nothing for the last week. Yes, I still had fun and improved at the game in some sense but when theres no tangible way of showing that progression it feels all for nothing.
Custom game idea: dodgeball where you throw fuel cells at each other, get a kill and you can respawn a teammate, you could catch the fuel cells with the grapple equipment, etc
Can you guys imagine PROGRAMMABLE NPC'S in forge? Imagine the type of stuff you can make with that. Zombies. Players vs charging brutes. If you die, you become infected. Full warzones imagining you were of the spartan teams with a group of marines holding out against waves of banished. Boss modes. The list goes on and on.
As an aspiring dev that's learning how to make videogames, i can actually say what could probably be done in Halo Infinite and what couldn't from these ideas, other devs can correct me if they read this: 1 - Come Up with a road map: I have no doubt on this would be possible and should have already happened to some degree even if it was later changed, but i do understand why the road map was the least of their concerns when the game development went into shit because who ever did the ok for this game forgot about their paid dev contractors with still baffles me in how that even happened. Note, i'm not saying that the devs are at fault for leaving or for the devs that stayed should have done a better job, making a game ain't easy and if i was under a contract that experied i too would leave the moment i was no longer getting paid, 343 Devs went through a warzone of issues and they should be complemented as Spartans for giving us something as polished as the campaign is and that they are listening to thousands of fans. 2 - Expand the Modes & Playlists: This one is one that's constantly being talked about, firstly playing these modes everyone wants to in offline mode is not the same as online against other players, the modes can be good because bots are "predictable" and won't actively try to break the game or push it to it's limits, players however can push it to it's limits and actively look for ways to break the game entirely for that easy W or just the trolling, meaning if 343 wants to deliver something that's polished enough so that players won't deliver complains about 150 different bugs happening, constantly changing and testing is an absolute must and that might sound easy but it's not, in comparison, changing a simple jump or weapon damage can force a developer to completely change the map and/or how things appear on it, so a simple change that might look like 5 seconds can be a month or 3 of hard work just to get it to feel right, so 343 actually not releasing these modes until they are fairly polished and "dumb player" proof did the right move to deliver a better experience to Halo infinite and this is without talking "UI limitations" with i know that can also affect the game a lot. 3 - Tweak the Progression, Battle Pass, etc...: This is an obvious one, although i fear it might not be that simple, when it comes to monetization in Videogames majority of the choices don't come of the devs, much less the idea at all, mostly comes from the higher ups, with then force devs in making a decision on how to monetize the game in a way the higher ups would be happy. Although Halo Infinite could use a better coating system, better Customization system and battle pass i feel like those 3 can wait until the progression and xp are fixed, the most likely solutions would be no xp caps unless they are huge, abort challenges or make the challenges secondary objectives for extra XP being the main form of xp winning a match regardless of mode, these would require a lot on the amount of XP per match although these changes alone would need approvement of the higher up that wanted monetization in the first place, same as all the others i'm about to mention, coatings could stay but we should be allowed to change the colors of said coatings (for example, the red arm black body coatings, to avoid getting 50 coatings that look the same as that one but with different colors, allow us to change it's colors freely and the same thing for every other coating), this would force the devs to think outside the box to give us more unique coatings, even some that could make your Spartan have a long history, customization should have 2 ways of unlocking, by campaign and by game feats (like hit a jackal from across the lake or find all easter eggs/secrets in a mission or beat the game on legendary), old stuff should be free, new stuff should be monetized and sure as hell, if something is in the battle pass it should show up in the shop, unfortunately again, these would be decisions that'd go to the higher up and depending if he prefers easy souless money or would actually like this game o succeed, it'd be the difference between having these changes or no changes at all, all other changes i'd like are talked about Act man. 4 - Tear Down The Barriers, Enhance Customization: This is obviously the main change customization needs, but again.....the higher up gives the go or not. 5 - Bring the Balance Updates We All Want to See, Add new weapons, Vehicles, Maps: As i said in Expand the modes and playlists, this requires a lot of testing, a lot of changing there fore, a lot of time to make it a reality, fortunately they already have a few weapons and vehicles half done or 1/4 done to add at a later date, but for now, we can only wait for all the other fixes to be done first. Maps are even a greater work because with so many modes you have to make a map that feels well to play in, but also suits almost every mode, so maps every few months although possible, it'd be a lot of work focused on the maps themselves. 6 - Improve Custom Games and Get Them Working As Intended: Nothing else said, right now the main priority is fixing these modes once all other fixes are implemented. 7 - Flesh Out Social Features: I actually do not know how this works yet, so i won't talk about it. 8 - I am getting tired and i know we are getting to some rough territory for devs. 9 - Rethink Events Moving Forward: Act Man actually said it all, issue is making them because....*HIGHER UPS AND TIME* 10 - Figure Out Long-Term Goals: I think this is exactly what they are doing to some extent, because again, fixing Infinite won't be easy, thankfully it's not like Cyberpunk 2077 or GTA Definitive Edition
Very sure you could of said a lot more with less words. #1 They have no public facing road map that I am aware of. All talks of future plans for updates is strewn across multiple articles from multiple domains. If they don't have a public list and etas then the roadmap they have behind the doors is probably non-existent or with ink just freshly dried. I am fairly confident they are making things up as they go as there is many examples of this. One example is making excuses for not having a slayer player list and taking so long to turn it on. They should of been a flip of the stitch if they did their job properly. #2 was one sentence. The clearer and more concise your statements are the easier it is for non-devs to understand you. #3 Separating publisher from developer in this case is super hard and unclear who is at fault. 343 was born from a game, games are usually born from a studio. Coatings need to expand but they will never go away because then they would have to refund everyone which they are not going to do ever.
@@EricHamm so, I can see your point in everything you said, but I doubt that even if "they did their job correctly", adding slayer would be easy to add, no, absolutely not, I've already stated why any mode by itself is hard to implement, making a game is not easy and just adding something is never as easy as a flip of a switch even if you make the game ready to get more modes and other stuff, so it takes time regardless, secondly a roadmap is done at the very start of a game by the devs so they know what to focus on, now with many contracted devs leaving and the game development going into shit, it's very easy to see why said roadmap could have been discarded or altered entirely, so no, it's not done recently, a better excuse would be that first they need to fix what's broken or that players don't like, to then get the roadmap going publicly and since they can't disclose entirely what's happening behind the scenes, all we know is they are listening, planning changes and working like slaves to get this game to a proper state, to me, this year, 343 devs proved that they are more than willing to put a lot of effort to this game, even more than they should for their own health.
What would be nice if they increased the speed and durability of the wasp. As well as adding a vehicle health bars and giving in the Marines a sense of self-preservation
Some other changes to add: -Have the option to choose what game mode u play -Tweak some weapons -Tweak some the gear to make more useful -Make the battle pass loot actually cool and wanted (unique armor colors, textures, patterns, etc) -Fix the melee -Increase running footstep noise -Decrease spawn grenades in ranked by 1 -Have legendary MVP victory poses like Rainbow 6 -Reward/achievement for completing the weapons academy -Down the line there should be a Red vs Blue event to where you can earn different AI based on the shows characters (Church, Griff, Caboose, etc)
A couple of additions: 1. Fix the machinima features, that's another community being limited. 2. Maybe make Cr earnable via rank ups or special challenges, balanced to the point 343 don't end up loosing out on purchases. 3. Xp for both winning a game and being in the top 25% for scoring. 4. Percentage xp/cr boost for people who are ranked. Eg 1.1x for bronze, 1.2x silver, 1.3x gold, 1.4 platinum, and 1.5 onyx.

343 should hire Act Man as community manager, he nailed the thoughts of everyone. I have no clue what they were thinking with the armor core system, just give us customization like Halo 3/Reach.
But that would mean that 343 is trying to be good at management, when we know that 343 isn't.
343 makes you sign away your rationality when hired. He'd just be another zombie like Mr. Bravo is... If he's even still in that position.
They were thinking "if only 1/10 buy the battlepass and 1/30 spend a hundred on store customizations, we can make double the money of a basic halo infinite game with vanilla multiplayer"
They really should hire him as a community manager
Why in the hell are lobbies disbanded after each game?
nowadays though even when games have pre-game lobbies and global chat no-one ever communicates anyway. people are either too scared to talk to people, or too scared to get banned and completely lose their xbox/origin etc account for something trivial.
yeah i really don’t feel like i’m playing with and against other people. that was a HUGE part of the fun for me. THE COMPETITION.
They probably don't have the assets to do that stuff because the whole campaign has the same setting.... Tisk Tisk 343.
Thats a great analogy
Its legit discouraged me from buying anything from the shop. Some cool MK7 armor but if I can put it with Jun’s chest piece then I’m not buying.
Bots in the flight had cross core customization, so it is in the game, they just keep lying.
Act man one of the few real ones left
It ironically discourages me from buying stuff from the shop.
Saw the chest piece with the teddy bear and though it was super adorable, and would have gotten it if it wasn’t locked to the armor core I never use and can’t use in conjunction with the ODST helmet.
Honestly a baffling decision
The biggest thing I want in infinite is firefight. The best enemies and AI ever in a Halo game, and no firefight 3.0? Would be amazing.
Mix it with forge and do a snap map kinda thing like doom did! How good would that be
Big Team Firefight sounds dope to me
23:12 That one really hits me hard.
That’s literally what I thought armor cores were suppose to be, a core you can build around.
Exactly……
preach
I think armor cores need to stay in some capacity tbh. They do allow for more options since now the actual core of the Spartan can be swapped out, since all of the options are the extra things that go on top of it, like helmets, shoulders, etc.
That said, they are pretty limiting in their current form and definitely need an overhaul.
Yes. Thank you President Eisenhower
"infinite is really fun we just want more ways to enjoy it" that's exactly how I feel it is fun it just gets boring when you forced to play 5 game modes
Yeah for some reason every time I start the game it’s CTF which whatever ig but it’s my least favorite game mode
Just think about how sick itd be to finally block with the energy sword, it would boost up halos uniqueness from other FPS games too.

no we don't do that here anymore. Consoom this slice of pizza game with 3/4 missing oh yea btw pay full price or die
I do too, times are changing and it's sad when we are excited that a game functions at release
Armor Cores are terrible period, what is Lore about MP?
@Black Man That doesn't make sense, if they wanted more money they'd make you buy the same thing twice, once for each core, but every item is only on one core, so you can only buy it once. The amount of money they get is the same either way so that's obviously not the reason.
My guy I KNOW you didn't just spell "pieces" as peace's lmfao 😅😅😅
"would look pretty ugly"
And then they put in a bunch of MLG and My Little Pony looking coatings...
You're looking at another year of development lol. 343 knew they were releasing an incomplete game. At least it isn't cybepunk I guess.
I’m just really confused why I don’t see more people talking about the awful campaign story. Like none of my friends enjoyed it at all, the story is just WACK. @@MartyCart I hate that your not wrong, especially given how they don’t have rewards for hitting onyx rank, it really is staggering just how little is in the game, it feels great but so much is still just not there. Everything being for sale is not good when you can’t even earn much of anything…

I agree with the making Sprint 5 times faster. It does feel slow for a Super Soldier that we are.
@@ResidentRecon89 but we also like WALK fast? I like sprint bring purely a means to access slide and being slightly faster

Yeah exactly that is a pretty good idea
The main issue I have with halo infinite at this point is the customization. Why do they separate the cosmetics with each core? Why do some colors work with some cores and others don't. Its so stupid.
Like with the samurai core, I understand that being its own core. But besides that. Let me mix and match my unlocks. Let me have free range to customize my sparten the way I WANT TO.
This has been bugging me a lot as well, especially with the variety in customization, like they have a lot of cool designs but I hate the colors that are with them, I wouldn't mind paying for the designs but I should be able to use the color combos I want
Shit is totally broken and a true scam. Sorry guys, I wanted it to be great too

I can’t believe we lost act man because he didn’t have ray-cons to soundwhore the enemys location before they could take him out.
You gotta drop that man, it wont ever come back
@@owensmith6517 I hear ya but I feel like we gotta at least try and despite all the fair criticism from these big youtubers they keep glossing over how bad coatings are and it's just really disappointing that they're not even trying to mention it because it really is a big part of customization as much as armor is.

Also, the Scorpion needs a massive buff in the campaign.

The reason they don't have a lot of obvious things that should be in the game first day is because they want people to pay. What if they bring the goblin back
Yeah paired with what they've done with boss fights it'd be real neat, fingers crossed they add in Insurrectionists as well
One of the best ways to unlock armor could be through fighting a monthly boss on campaign. Set up a new boss and kill him and his crew to unlock new armor or accessories. Kinda like destiny.
That sounds awesome actually there are a lot of unaccisable islands that could have bosses
I'm so surprised they didn't have more unlockable armor in the campaign. Would incentivise people to buy the game and play the story. More game = longer shelf life.

Worst it's thrown in your face each time you level up.
Just hear me out: Act Man personal AI.
You: Win match
Personal AI: “And that is why you guys are SO AWESOME!”
Best halo
They could totally do a tonne of different AI for different Halo content creators and competitive e-sports players who would like to record lines for it
@beandam873 Omfg yes, I need a Griff AI on the double
@@ghostdude9415 smite does this with smite pro league. i agree that would be a good idea,
I wish you done more than one stream of the campaign but I’m glad you enjoyed your time with it
I love that new game modes are rolling out already, but the number 1 thing I’m truly waiting for is Forge. It was hands down my absolute favorite part of Halo 5, and assuming Infinite’s Forge is like 5’s but built upon, I’m beyond excited for it to launch. It sucks that we have to wait so long for it though.
All I want is firefight. And I'm so happy that we can finally play versus offline with bots like gears of war
I'm gonna say it. Having the voice actor for MASTER CHIEF tell you to subscribe to the act man should be reason enough to immediately subscribe
What an excellent intro. Almost had me at "nerf the plasma pistol"
The battle pass hurts multiplayer in so many ways. So many games where half the people quit or don’t play objective
It's like a bad COD clone, this is one of the things so many didn't like about MW and Cold War, and now Vanguard.
@Masterabis500 guess what your progressing in
love for Halo in every statement, Actman is an inspiration
Fun fact: There is officially more paid armour for the Mark VII core than there is free ones/bp armour.
All the Mk 7 armor is essentially store content
All the yes in the world for this.
Dope
Can you guys imagine PROGRAMMABLE NPC'S in forge? Imagine the type of stuff you can make with that.
Zombies. Players vs charging brutes. If you die, you become infected.
Full warzones imagining you were of the spartan teams with a group of marines holding out against waves of banished.
Boss modes.
The list goes on and on.
As an aspiring dev that's learning how to make videogames, i can actually say what could probably be done in Halo Infinite and what couldn't from these ideas, other devs can correct me if they read this:
1 - Come Up with a road map: I have no doubt on this would be possible and should have already happened to some degree even if it was later changed, but i do understand why the road map was the least of their concerns when the game development went into shit because who ever did the ok for this game forgot about their paid dev contractors with still baffles me in how that even happened.
9 - Rethink Events Moving Forward: Act Man actually said it all, issue is making them because....*HIGHER UPS AND TIME*
10 - Figure Out Long-Term Goals: I think this is exactly what they are doing to some extent, because again, fixing Infinite won't be easy, thankfully it's not like Cyberpunk 2077 or GTA Definitive Edition
I love the wasp but disagree with that, the wasp is where it needs to be
Some other changes to add:
-Have the option to choose what game mode u play
-Tweak some weapons
-Tweak some the gear to make more useful
-Make the battle pass loot actually cool and wanted (unique armor colors, textures, patterns, etc)
-Fix the melee
-Increase running footstep noise
-Decrease spawn grenades in ranked by 1
-Have legendary MVP victory poses like Rainbow 6
-Reward/achievement for completing the weapons academy
-Down the line there should be a Red vs Blue event to where you can earn different AI based on the shows characters (Church, Griff, Caboose, etc)
And add collision back so people don’t go through me and punch me in the back
Grenade spam is horrible when playing odd ball
I hate how I can’t use emiles right shoulder armor piece without having to pick his whole armor fit. Same with other characters. Hope they change that
Thank you Act Man for mentioning Custom Games and File Share. These are very important to Halo.
A couple of additions:
