The Halo Cycle is real, huh?
Its been a long time since I took an honest look at Halo 5's Multiplayer. Was it underrated?? Were there some things we didn't appreciate about it before? Yes and no. Halo 5 was definitely a divisive entry in the series and today we're taking one last look at it before closing this chapter completely!

The Halo Cycle is real, huh? Halo 5 is kind of underrated in some ways but DEFINITELY NOT in many others. What do you think? What ways was it better or worse than Infinite?
Make a video on playable elites some time bro and why they should return to halo.
Add Chips Dubbo as a playable character
Halo infinite was fine mp. But halo 5? Halo 5 mp is one of the best pvp games ever, unironically. Especially super Fiesta, criminally underrated and overhated

Halo 5 gave me a friend group I could never replace, and we've stuck with eachother for 3+ years, it may not have been a perfect game but it's certainly one I love.
The multiplayer was definitely my favorite once it was content complete and combined with the forge and customs it really was something.
It’s a good game. It’s just an awful Halo game.
If it launched as it’s own title it would have done fine. But it called itself halo while doing as much as it could to separate itself from Halo as possible (changed the art style, the music, the gameplay, the physics, and downgraded tons of basic features). It’s like going into Pizza Hut and the staff telling you they only serve Burgers.

Husky Raid in Halo 5 was one of the best experiences I've had in Halo MP. Absolute chaos on narrow maps was crazy with the size of the weapon sandbox.
Still play it to this day. It's still fun
Husky Raid is the reason I became Competitive when it comes to CTF
I agree
@@ZealotKnight same
It got even more chaotic when you played it in super fiesta
I loved Super Fiesta it was such a fun and chaotic casual mode
Still waiting for halo infinite to capture the that chaos I loved about 5. Honestly, I gave up on halo multiplayer after 2. I thought 3 and reach were mids. halo 4 was better than reach, but still mids. And halo 5 took a long time, but the last five years were incredible.
I still play husky raid a lot. One of the quintessential halo experiences imo
I'm still playing the shit out of super fiesta party.
Not patching the weapon pad glitch in guardians was such an incredible move on their part. I feel like so many developers would have but 343 saw that it was funny and had a lot of potential for players to just have fun with so they left it alone. Never thought I'd commend a developers for not doing their job but I actually really appreciated that one. So many fun times with me and my buddies came from that glitch
I haven't played any halo since 4 came out so I do know about the mp maps but on the og Xbox and halo 2 you could do the special things like crouch on a rail and shot in a corner or stuff like that and it would launch you to the top of the map.
I used to do it on lockout playing swat(headshots)
I'd decimate the other tesm.
The gunplay and movement in guardians was really fun. It was fun going sweat mode in this game. I still prefer classic halo but 5 is fun to go back to once in a while
My biggest issue in Warzone was that the bosses were last hit kill for the points. When bosses died it should of became a King of the Hill objective to score the points so one guy across the map can't snipe your boss kill from you after you ammo dumped the boss
I dont know how else they would've balanced it, because if it were based on the most damage dealt by team, people wouldnt bother going after the bosses.
@@danjjjatest I've never felt like it was a damage thing. I've have plenty of bosses snipe stolen from me across the map from me. Adding a King of the Hill objective after boss defeat would make it more about map control. It can be a quick capture like 5 seconds. Heroes of the Storm has the same boss concept. I don't see how adding a second objective to claim the boss kill would of made people not go for bosses anymore. Hell I practically ignored bosses in warzone except for trying to get the last hit.

Infinite also exists if you want a newer Halo (although tbh I'm not sure it's much better than 5 considering how dry it is...) What hurts even more for 5 is that it's not on PC, so however few of us PC Halo fans there are, we won't be there to drive up numbers.
@@R0gueIsHere that’s not why and you know it. 5 has one of the best multiplayers. Second off certain lobbies are empty and some like infection is full which also refutes that claim. Put your bias hate to 5 aside and if you have an actual answer THEN reply to me
Halo 5 is the only game I've ever played where I felt there was too much content. Take a break for a few days and there's two new maps in rotation, weapon pickups changed so I was always having to change up how I played the map. Underrated game.
I actually enjoyed H5’s multiplayer the most. Fun, fast paced and flowed really well. Very satisfying to play! And let’s not forget it’s wide variety of weaponry.
That was fun actually.
I must have been playing a different game but I only remember the magnum being used 90% of the time.
You could unlock all items for free by playing the game too. Two warzone matches got you a gold pack, and while it was random what you got from the pack, getting that pack with your hard earned req points and getting armor was so much more satisfying than paying $20 for colors.
Alright hold up you know how much armors and amor duplicates there were that almost looked the same? But rarely got it because it was in a randomize lootbox that rarely gave you armor but alot of random warzone weapons especially mongoose and carbines?
I like H5 mp too but at that point I'd rather spend 20$ then grind for a hour just to get a wasp.
Imma keep it 100 and admit I just decided to pay for the reach helmet bundle lol
@@daBears06 lol i got the reach helmet bundle for free when infinite got announced
True but for weapons it just wasn't maintainable.
I remember saving them up for a year, and I blew past them in a few months by playing warzone exclusively. You basically use up more gold packs than you gain them.
Wow I didn't expect to see myself in your clips that you saved for this video. (6:37 - 8:30 Ryth) I will always believe that although broken, Halo 5 PvP made me stick around due to how chaotic fun warzone was. Forge maps was also always a blast to play like the huge zombie maps, and it's cool to be immortalized in a game with dispite plenty of issues, did have its time to shine for plenty of us.
Hahaha nice! Yeah I must've had the footage for over 6 years
I will always remember Halo 5 because Spartan Companies were it’s clan-equivalent system was actually official, not something vague and impromptu like previous Halo and COD experiences . I felt like I could get more involved with the guys I was with without having to use a forum site. That and the movement actually made me feel like a Spartan. There is definitely a skill gap in 5 that just doesn’t really exist in the same capacity as other Halo games
In my own personal opinion I think the Halo 5 multiplayer was very underrated. I really enjoyed the gameplay of it. Being faster paced playing and it was a really big change for Halo even if it wasn’t what the fan base wanted. This Halo I was the most skilled at and my friends and I would play competitive playlists during middle school/ highschool. I just really enjoyed the time I had with my friend mostly. Consistently winning and having a great time. Now I look back as an adult and realize all the hate it got was from older generation halo player while kids like me were eating it up.

In a lot of ways Halo 5 wasn’t an inherently bad multiplayer game, but the way it was monetised and built upon really soured the experience
Yes thank you finally someone said it. I always said Halo 5 was a test ground for new Halo games. You would have thought that, based on Halo 5's mechanics, that Infinite would have given us ADS for all guns. But noooo. 343 is so scared to adapt to the 2020s.

@@d30n6 This mentality is why Halo is dead. A friend told me the other day people our age don't play Halo anymore. We played it back in the day and now most people in their mid 20s-early 30s have a kid. And when they play a game they want to make the most of an hour or two a day.
You need to bring new players in the game. Fresh blood. Halo's been stagnant since Reach. The root of why Infinite failed is the core gameplay isn't relevant anymore. No one plays arena shooters anymore. Even CoD took a page from Battlefield with its rebooted Ground War mode.
Halo's new identity should either be 6v6 or 10v10 TDM or Domination with different shooting and movement mechanics. Or it should focus on big 32v32 maps with Halo vehicles and Conquest modes. Halo has the assets. But the people in charge are too lazy and complacent to bring Halo into the 2020s.
Breakout is a game mode in the Elimination playlist along with Extermination so it’s not gone. Both are some of my favorite game modes that I hope they bring back.

Halo 5 felt too sweaty to be enjoyable most of the time. However, the social playlists were awesome. I loved just messing around in BTB Fiesta and Super Fiesta. Those “party style” playlists should always be a core playlist on tap.

Breakout was my jam. It felt so good having a goal to work towards (Champion). the top 200 was super competitive and made some really good friends and made for some super intense moments. ultimately landed champion 12, and had champion 1 rank for a couple days. Miss those days.
Honestly I always loved warzone, and warzone firefight. It's what I played most in halo 5. I really wish we had a multiplayer PvE mode in halo infinite. I've heard they are adding forge features for PvE enemies and I'm really excited to see where that goes.
Last time I checked, Breakout has become part of the Elimination playlist. I'm glad you noticed its absence. Even if it wasn't completely gone, I never understood why it couldn't stay in a separate playlist. It is by far my favourite competitive game mode in Halo 5 and I still wish they would bring it back for Halo Infinite.
For me, Halo 5 still has some of the best multiplayer in Halo. Yes, it changed the formula a lot but I found it much more enjoyable than Reach and Halo 4. I also thought the spartan abilities were pretty cool. And I don't want to forget it actually has an enjoyable Infection, something Infinite still doesn't have. And Warzone is one of the best things in this game.
Halo 5 and xbox one was my re -introduction into gaming after an 8+ year break. I have a lot of special memories with this game. Still haven't found a multiplayer game that's filled that hole. Made tons of friends. I wanted to Infinite to be that so bad lol

Halo 5 multiplayer was my guilty pleasure for a year. It was pretty fun when they added forge and custom games was actually pretty creative
I think Halo 5s post launch consistent content drops every month was definitely underrated and under appreciated.
Edit: I’m not saying bringing in features that should’ve been there day one is praiseworthy. Besides everything in Halo 5s updates that should’ve been there day one, they were pouring content into Halo 5 monthly. Wether it was new weapons, armor, vehicles, maps, you name it. They were making sure we got it at a reasonable pace. Thats what my original comment was about.
Yes and no. That only counts once the stuff that *should* have been there at launch (such as forge), was already out.
Can't be underrated if the majority of updates were adding content that should have been there at launch.
@@justiceforjoggers2897 its funny because Infinite is doing the same shit just at a much slower pace. Like did you two not think i didn’t know that before making the comment? Ya see, it's because not everyone thinks basic bitch updates adding simple features from almost every game before it in what would otherwise have been content complete, is anything remotely praiseworthy.
Compared to infinite especially. Idk why infinite ditched everything halo 5 did. All the vehicles, enemies, guns. They completely scrappes it.
I actually miss a lot of the weapons and vehicles from this game. The Ultra variants of Covenant vehicles, the AA Wraith, the Phaeton, the plasma caster. I would have loved to have seen all these again in Infinite.

While the post launch support and constant updates were great, you gotta remember they said they absolutely worked themselves to the bone to get all of that out. If I recall correctly they said they would never push themselves that hard again due to all the burn out. That (amongst other things) is most likely why they've dropped the ball so hard with Infinite.
They launched a game with half the content of reach and somehow still struggled to get the rest of it out over the next year. Incompetence at its finest
Then hire more employees? Releasing content is literally their fucking jobs.
@@JJAB91 I'm not excusing it, I'm just simply pointing out the difference and what they stated.
@@JJAB91 Easier said then done
They’ve already outsourced a lot of labor for infinite, so lack of man hours is pointedly NEVER the problem. What really held them back was lack of direction, shitty management, and poor organization and communication over the course of the development process. The only difference is they used hefty amounts of crunch to cover their ass post-launch in 5, and now that they’ve sworn off of crunch, they somehow thought it was a good idea to NOT clean up their pre-launch development process to compensate.
In other words, it all comes down to incompetence from the higher ups who continue to roll their shit downhill. The lesson here isn’t that crutch is the only way to provide decent live service support, it’s that they have no choice BUT to rely on crutches such as crunch when they refuse to address *chronic management incompetence* that has fucked over every one of their game launches after Halo 4. Parroting 343’s marketing team’s attempts to obfuscate this fact by channeling sympathy for the devs(who wouldn’t be in that crunch-or-flop situation if they had competent oversight) does not solve the problem.
This brings up nostalgia, not just on Halo 5, but the Act Man too.
I want to say i first learned about the act man in like 2016? I was in a party with a couple of buddies, we were teens at the time, playing Halo 5. A couple of them were talking about the Act Man, and were jokingly inviting him to a party, but when he surprisingly joined the party, they freaked out. I was like "who tf is this guy?" And was basically just going along with it, acting like i knew who he was (i didn't.) Eventually, the Act Man asked us what we liked about his videos, to which one friend said he liked the comedy, i answered too and said "uh... I like the quality!" And it definitely sounded like he didn't believe it lmao.

Halo 5 is still my favorite PvP, followed very closely by Reach. The gameplay struck a perfect balance of fast paced run and gun but also still having those long gunfights that Halo is known for. I think a lot of people just hated it cuz it was different honestly. I think they played the campaign, hated it, then either never bothered with the pvp or only played 1 match, decided they didn't wanna learn the new mechanics and left.
You mean there was new mechanics...I didn't notice!
No, people hated it because it played nothing like halo, because jumped on the advanced movement bandwagon the year after Advanced Warfare came out, because map control and vehicles were heavily deemphasized as a result of the advanced movement, and because universal ADS and bonus headshot damage turned basically every gun into a precision weapon and ruined the sandbox.
IMO may be more to well. I Love reach but many did not, saw it as a downgrade Then you have halo 4, which People liked even Less then Reach.
That's already 2 games people didn't like in a row. Then you had MCC which was a colossal fuck up. It promised people the ability to play their old favorites but it was busted.
Then You have all those years of peoples hopes being crushed, then you end up with 5. With so long a time of people being angry then you introduce another sequal thats even Less like the older titles. It reached a breaking point. People were already sour'd then they just, gave up. Halo 5 may have been good but it had too much negative rep built up over the years. So any good it may have had was buried.
@@Slender_Man_186 Saying H5 playing nothing like Halo is asinine at best. The "Advanced movement" Was just a short range dodge button and something that held you in place while aiming. Vehicles and power weapons were even more oppressive in H5 than they were in previous Halo games, making map control infinitely more important, almost to a detrimental degree to be honest, and ADS barely increased the functionality of non precision weapons. Maybe a slight increase to their range but they were still easily outclassed by any precision weapon hip fire. If you couldn't beat an AR from range with a magnum, you just weren't good at the game tbh.
@@Gorrfinger “ADS barely increased functionality” are you high? Even in Infinite this is still the problem, the AR has no right being a valid option at mid range, it’s supposed to be a close range spray and pray used to secure melee kills. In 5 the AR, BR, DMR, SMG, SAW, Magnum, Carbine, Storm Rifle, and Light Rifle are all hitscan, all do bonus headshot damage, and all have a scope that makes them effective out to mid, why? Infinite has the same issue with the AR, BR, Commando, Sidekick, and soon the Bandit Rifle too when that gets added. It’s not about performance, it’s about weapon roles.
Halo 5 was the first game I ever got to play online for and I absolutely (and still do) love it with all my heart. I was there for almost the entire lifecycle, and I have countless memories of friends hoping on and playing Warzone or custom games way late into the night laughing our butts off. So many people hate it, but Halo 5 will always be my favorite game of all time because of how much it meant to me
Honestly, 343 really did a fantastic job when it came to content with Halo 5. It was honestly kind of crazy just HOW MUCH content they pushed out.
The multiplayer was definitely what made Halo 5 shine. The mechanics only made me want to play the game even more since it gave me a reason to come back and learn something new. The only con was the REQ packs, but they were ignorable if you stayed away from Warzone.
You really disliked the main menu theme to Halo 4? I quite enjoyed it! It gave that sense of loneliness and isolation that Halo 4 gives off in its first mission and a few others through the story. It was also a good change of pace without feeling to off from halos identity. I feel like id be able to hear it in any other Halo game without it feeling forced.
They need to start by stop skipping time and master chief has amnesia

I didn’t hate it, but who tf ever is gonna hum the halo 4 theme song.

I've always wanted halo 5 on pc as a separate port from the mcc because that game is HUGE. The main reason is the fov, after playing halo on pc I just have to have an fov slider for it. That and I think mouse and keyboard would be nice on H5.
Man i love your content. Mostly it is the passion and the research and work you clearly put in. Love to see it. I hope you keep doing these forever. Even if all of the videos are from Halo 5 XD
It breaks my heart that I struggle to find h5 games now. This was by far my favorite multiplayer competitive experience in gaming. I always thought halo 2 would remain my favorite multiplayer game until the day I die, but halo 5 hooked me like no other game before :)
SAME! H2, reach, and h5 were my favorites. H3 missed the mark on MP for me, but h5 was fun af.
@@cobaltduu2 same!! I never liked the projectile br tbh, I have a very unpopular h3 opinion lol
@@andrewscocozza4340 Exactly. The Halo 3 BR is terrible. I can never understand how anyone defends that awful BR. I've been playing since 2001 so it's not the opinion of someone new just trying it out.
Good let's hope it stays like that.
@@zachtaylor5312Lead your shots noob.
I absolutely love Halo 5's gameplay in multiplayer. My dream is to see some sort of director's cut where they redo the campaign and improve the multiplayer.
Req pack isn't a problem if you start opening silver packs from the start and collect all the armor, weapons loadout, and abilities then you can start with gold pack to get better items
11:25 I sent that Req pack to you a long ass time ago and I just remembered after all this time thanks to this video lol
You're awesome thank you so much for all the content over the years
I absolutely adored Halo 5 multiplsyer. Gameplay was incredibly tight and rewarded skill. The pistol was such an interesting change of pace but the focus towards competitive drove most of my friends who loved Reach and 3 away.
Action Sack and BTB brought them back eventually though!
I also recently made a little halo 5 montage as well but idk if I'm allowed to share it.
As a CQB guy I enjoyed the multi-player thanks to the movement abilities. Boost in and melee someone then finish them with the smg and boost away. During war zone I would hold one of the bases myself most of the time and pile up kills like crazy.
17:24 oh god I remember these, it was like watching a wave of Spartans drop onto a small firefight and everyone else were marine grunts.
Watching two Spartan companies clash from opposing teams or compete for kills was pretty interesting to watch tho.
Tbh the company itself wasn’t a threat, it was seeing a squad or two of them appear in decked out full of the said armor was the terrifying part when you weren’t on their side
For me, the Achilles armor was a great addition to the game. Grinding with your team for such a unique armor piece was awesome. Never spent any money on the game though, and that’s why getting it made it so rewarding. I was part of spartan company Prevalence!
Why can't they do more armor like that? Not necessarily the design but just the simple principle of being rewarded for grinding the game
@@ashtoncrosby3517 nah that's stupid just give them your life insurance and they'll give you all the armor you could want.
Yes it was underrated. I had a LOT of fun in warzone assault. I think the requisition variants of classic weapons with cool functions was amazing. It was only held back by the predatory nature of the req system as a whole. The expanded movement options too were really neat. I loved being able to quickly back out of a situation I may have barged into without thinking.
also, you get the thumbs up for the flying circus alone
Honestly the extreme over-mobility that allowed you to shut your brain off and play with zero strategy was what hurt this game the most. We want halo, not Call of Duty. And this game really, really wanted to be Call of Duty.
I just constantly find myself back in MCC playing CE. My mind still can’t wrap around the fact of playing CE online, it’s so awesome
that opening what a hero haha taking one for the team what a champ XD your content never gets dull brother
I’ve been saying this since 2015 it was my first halo multiplayer like online, and I absolutely loved it and so far no other game has gotten close to as much fun I had on that MP
Infinite is getting better the new season is enjoyable. Ive been forging and hosting customs successfully and having fun. Couple bugs here and there lol
As someone who hops into old games from time to time, its just a nice breath of fresh air to play something classic. Most of those old pc games had solid gunplay, and really funny movement exploits that make them a blast to hop back into. The speed of those classic fps games before controller became the norm for shooters is something you really just don't get from new shooters anymore.
Halo 5 multiplayer, specifically the social playlists such as Husky Raid and Infection(The community maps where you progress through the map) were the closest we have had to the old Halo games. They were all enjoyable and they had a million weapon variants that were fun to experiment with. The weapon and vehicle sandbox is rhe biggest gripe I have with Halo Infinite. They were so petty as to scrap everything good from Halo 5 and completely reinvent Halo yet again. It actually makes me angry that they were so stupid.
Act Man, it took me 5 years to find this out but did you know if you use the right stick and hold the same direction on the D pad it will skip pages on the customization menu, not sure why but it’s crazy that it works
Im not going to lie, as someone who did finish the Achilles grind with a spartan company and probably did it within the first ten to twenty company, it was EXCITING to see groups you knew where a threat. A few from my group didnt pull larger recks till we saw reason to. Then it was all out war. When I saw Whisky Company, I knew it was about to be a fucking blood bath. It was both hell and fun.
lol there was a resolution for the issues with selling req's. There was an extension in Chrome you could download, link it to your gamertag and you could sell all the req's at once
13:40 Mr president a second banshee has hit the World Trade Center
I absolutely loved Halo 5 MP. I put hundreds of hours into forge, super fiesta, and custom games. It was a fantastic experience.
343i needs to hire you as a consultant man, seriously. I think they have the talent to pull it off, but like you said it's a culmination of some bad execution on great ideas that ends up making them faceplant. This is my favorite FPS franchise. Really sad to see Halo fallen so low and I hope it will rise to the top again one day.
I underrated it at first and then came back and for the first time since ages i wanted to get somewhat competitive it was great but also lacked some social features and modes of previous games
In regards to only being able to sell one req at a time, there was this little widget that you could link to halo waypoint. It would let you filter and sell as many as you wanted at once
Role playing and doing stuff like, "ODST/marine challenge" or "Jorge challenge" in warzone firefight was fun af
I genuinely hope they find a way to implement the movement mechanics from halo 5 in some way the dopamine hit from getting a kill with the ground pound was something else
You can combine weapons in Infinite too. I was quite positively shocked when I used a needlerspanker for the first time lmao
Holup how??
@@michalis75 I'm not a forger so I don't know exactly how, but in custom games I've played games with weird ass mixes of different weapons.
Almost every high school weekend me and my friends would bring our xboxes to one house and just play halo 5's mp and i adore it to this day
ive been screaming this into the void for yeaaaars! when everyone was trashing it(sometimes rightly so). h5g might pale in comparison to old halos in some ways but halo 5 mp, warzone & customs was always such a great time.
I would love to see it come to PC or MCC in general if nothing more than to see what sort of life the Halo modding community could breathe into this. I think halo 5 suffered from trying to appease everyone with everything and anything they could think of and that tends to back fire.
Great video. There are a lot of features I honestly still wish Infinite would have like a service record or commendations in the game. But to give Infinite some props Custom Games do work now and they even have a custom games browser. Plus I feel like the weapon pad glitch were the roots of what we would now know as scripting which was an amazing innovation to Forge. Also they seem to be working on adding AI scripting to Forge since leakers have shown grunts and elites in Custom Games. Which means hopefully soon enough we'll be able to make our own PvPvE experiences.
The weapon sandbox in halo 5 was amazing. Halo Infinite is lacking so many amazing weapons from the series.
LOVED THE VIDEO, THANK YOU!!
I think so, I sure enjoyed it. The spartan abilities were meh but they eventually took those away from competitive modes
I liked halo 5 campaign . Also the immersion of being in the helmet hud I loved. I loved the spartan abilities too
My god I’m so glad I remembered the name of your channel I was racking my brain trying. I didn’t realize I wasnt subbed 😫
I always loved the UNSC Weapons in Halo 5 espacially the burst with the flat sight was just a banger
Props to Act Man for suffering through Halo 5 again for us
Calm down mate. The multiplayer is fun
Suffering? Did you play Halo 5 MP and Warzone? Had just as much as when i used to play H3 and Reach back in the day. Customs browser made it even better
@@YodaOnABender Yeah but everything else kind of sucks, even the multiplayer had limited customization and microtransactions , so it’s like, fun but can’t blame anyone If they find it insufferable.
@@hachelyd_i3232 it's more about the mechanics than sandbox. Sandbox was great but being prohibited from regenerating shields while running? Stupid. Hovering in the air while aiming? Stupid. The insanely fast running, sliding,Spartan dashing and ground pounding just didn't feel like halo. It felt like something completely different. That's one reason why I'm one of the people who couldn't enjoy it at all. Because even as much as customization sucked,I got the mark vi from MCC so I was satisfied but the gameplay itself was awful. And warzone just felt like P2W because the more req packs you had,the more firepower you had
@@YodaOnABender nah, map control is nonexistent thanks to all of the advanced movement shit, it’s awful.
This retrospective really makes you think about how community features and casual gameplay are so important to Halo.
Halo 5 feels like it was built to be a competitive first game, but all the components most people look back fondly on and like the most about the game were casual things, forge, customs, the insane weapon sandbox, the massive variety of vehicles, warzone firefight, etc. those features and components of the game were what kept it alive and kicking, and what I think most people enjoyed; so it’s even more bewildering that 343 tries to go back and make another competitive first game with infinite.
I’m not saying competitive doesn’t belong in halo, it’s incredibly important and it would be a terrible mistake to launch without ranked, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of casual modes and fun, 343 you have the capability to do both, and it’s in your best interest, most people don’t play games that are balanced to perfection, they play games that are fun.
I think 343i focusing on competitive is cope. They simply can’t provide the feature set or content suite for a fleshed out casual community due to technical debt, high turnover, and general incompetence.
Ergo, they settle for competitive because competitive players are happy with three similarly designed maps and two guns (BR and sniper, of course)
one piece of criticism on the req packs. I never purchased any packs and I recall my friend gifting me a few for my birthday. I had everything unlocked before level 95. so I don't think it was TOO big of a problem but I still understand your point.
