This is another masa recipe. try this and you'll see the
difference, feel free to ask any questions regarding the
masa and I'll surely reply you !!

Make sure you make this all you need is
1 1/2 mudu of rice (shinkafan tuwo ) soaking it makes your
masa softer (no need of baking powder)
Then 1 1/2 cup of cooked rice
You can add onions
Then our master ingredients which is soya beans
Half cup is enough .. you don't need more than that … grind
or blend till smooth, add sugar salt and yeast . Allow to
rest for 30-40 minutes then prep your tanda and start frying
to desired color.,

Good morning. I’m fine alhamdulilah,you ? . For 1 mudu of rice use half cup of soya beans , 2 tablespoons of yeast, not up to a teaspoon of salt , 1 cup of rice then cook it .

What is tanda?
It’s a pan dedicated to making masa . The pan with the holes . Tanda is in my language (hausa )

You can divide the measure by 3 or 2 depending on how less you want it

You can use a different rice but it must be soaked and add a cup of flour
Can one make massar with normal Rice
Yes you can after soaking it
After experimenting with some rice brands . Not just any type of rice makes masa gaskiya .
Please what if I can't get this white rice I mean this rice for Tuwon shinkafa, can I use my normal parboiled foreign or locally grown rice?
Yes you can but the starch will be less then you can add flour . A cup of flour to the batter

You can do both . If you’ll be using your home blender it’s best you soak the beans

Before cooking . After cooking won’t give you the measurement correctly
Are the soybeans pre-soaked? Also what gives this masa it sour flavor?
The soybeans are not pre soaked . Sour flavor due to over rising of batter in a suffocated place for hours . Mostly caused by yeast
I want to try this, but I have a question please. Soybeans is really hard, should it be soaked overnight like the rice or just added dry before grinding?🤔
I used a grinding engine that’s why I didn’t soak it but if you’ll be using your blender please soak it together with the rice . Thank you

I noticed you didn't peel the soyabeans and they say it's bad for the health...
It’s not up to 3 tablespoons. Hopefully it wont have effect on us . But peel yours pls . I dont even know about it .thank you for the knowledge

Depending on your grinder if its a blender pls soak first with the rice if its a grinder you can just grind it that way no need to soak it .
