Irony aside, you remind me of a forest Buddhist monk I used to talk to. During meditation, there would always be mosquitoes but he seemed unbothered and wouldn't hit any of them when they came around. He said mosquitoes also had a life and that they didn't come for him (much!?) 'cos he sent prayers to them as another living being co-existing in the cosmos.

I’m a blood type B+ and out of everyone in my family, I’ll get attacked by mosquitos and they’ll get left alone. It has always puzzled me. Oh and to make it worse, I’m allergic to mosquito bites so they swell bigger than normal peoples bites.

Granted I live in So Cal where mosquitoes are pretty rare but I feel pretty dam lucky, they don't generally bother me and never have and with 40 years experience I think I am good to go.

My uncle NEVER gets bitten and he claims it's because he eats a lot of garlic and says garlic is poisonous to mosquitoes. Now I don't know if this story is true, but my cousin swears to me that she once saw a mosquito land on her uncle's arm, yet instead of swatting it away, my uncle said to her, "Watch this". And they watched as the mosquito sucked a little bit of blood and then the mosquito rolled my uncle's arm: dead. Again I wasn't there so I don't know, but I've tried eating more garlic in the summer and it does seem to work. (Though too much and it starts to repel people too! lol)

i once had such shit diet that it seemed like musquitos didnt even wanna come close to me. junk food seems like a good repellant. i was on a class hiking trip, a mountain with mixed terrain such as rough, dry, muddy, icy and thick. i packed buncha snacks, consisting of a pringles can, a dorito bag, a medium sized m&ms, a monster energy drink, a 2litre coke, a large bar of twix, 2 small bottles of energy drink, and a vitamin drink which my mom forced me to take. as a skinny guy that can never get fat even if i ate 2 times the food of an average human adult cuz of my apparent "fast metabolism" i quickly started munching on my snacks, whilst the others didnt even begin. by the time we got to the mountain, i was hyped up by my energy drink and all sorts of other mixtures of snacks and drinks. i had no problem scaling the mixed terrain of the mountain and even carried somebody elses bag. others were complaining of mosquitos but i never even noticed, i assumed they were avoiding me cuz of my probably fucked up blood cuz of all that shit i consumed. on the way back tho, i think i had some sort of energy drink withdrawal, as i felt like it was 4am and needed sleep bad

I’m watching this while scratching my 3 mosquito bites
All bogus according to myself. I am definitely type O, drink beer, live on the wet side of the island here in Hawaii, do not have a screen door so I leave my door wide open every day for air circulation, work sometimes nude in the garden as I live in a private place with lots of jungle and still don't get bit even when I can hear an occasional buzz by my ear and/or when lots are are swarming near by in my garden space while I working. I NEVER get biten even on windless days. Mosquoitos do not even enter my place with th edoor wide open with no screen, but on the other hand when me and my redhead friend go hiking she gets all the bites while I get none.
What about repellent?? Does that really work?

Does anyone know if getting bit my mosquitoes has anything to do with circulation? I had a massive blood clot on my leg that took 4 surgeries to remove and now I found out that I have leaky veins so all that blood and fluid collects in my leg and I get swelling from edema. It left me with some ugly AF spider veins in my ankles and I was curious if maybe they bit me more because I have veins towards the surface of the skin? My ankle looks like I sprained it bad because it's all purple and swollen and I thought maybe that's why I get attacked so bad and nobody else seems to get bit, just me lol
