I couldn’t figure out how you were aiming it and then you showed the camera screen! I have bought a block in Melbourne Australia, it obviously can’t go through bush lan so I think I may need to do some clearing.
I talked with a survey company about how mark the property in wooded area and they said they need to do clear the brush so they can see a clear line of sight. I don't know another way around it.
do you have any video showing measurement in outdoor sunlight ?is it possible to measure horizontal angle.? is it possible to save shape of polygon like in total station?
Having the viewfinder and digital image is of course it’s hallmark feature. I also like the fact it has a digital level. It would be nice if it had something similar to the Milwaukee announced but yet to be released color change or graphic change when you got to (or near) zero and ninety degrees (and make the tolerance adjustable to how close to zero and 90).
Sorry, I'm not familiar with the square in form measuring. It's been very accurate from what I've experienced. It does seem to struggle at long distances on certain items.
Will the measuring unit allow me to measure the length of a gutter that is 20 or 30 ft from the ground. I want to measure the length of the gutter while I am on the ground. I am not trying to get the height from the ground to the gutter but the length
Yes, it's called indirect measuring. Here'a a sample from their website of how it works. www.boschtools.com/us/en/boschtools-ocs/laser-measures-glm400c-197704-p/
I understand that the 400cL offers the ability to get a screenshot of the measurement. I've been happy enough without that feature on the 400c, but I can see it being useful. If you're an estimator going in a building to get measurements of rooms, it would be nice to get a screenshot.
That's a good question. The glm 400c has a color camera display and made to work outside. The glm 150c doesn't have the camera, just a red dot that measures up to 150m. I think the glm 150c is sold in the European markets. The glm 400c is sold in the States.
That great, 90% of people won't use 32nds, not evan a regular tape would have them. And guess what, doing crown molding and having 32nds is so annoying... 19/32 is closer to what? What shod I cut? How about 25...27/32...annoying...
I don’t know if it would do pitch so I could use it as a pitch gauge that has to be photographed in a file. If not , that would be another additional feature.
Green cross line lasers are brighter than red, so you might have some luck on a cloudy day. I don't know of any other lasers that are bright enough in daylight use. All other outdoor laser levels require a receiver.
Great, showed us the performance of the 400 foot model at 100 feet.
Is there any key combination to change reference from rear to front and back quickly?

Can you measure square footage or sod with this device?
C = camera
L = lithium battery
Thanks!

I can save the measurements I took with a photo in the memory?

Cool, that's sounds like an interesting feature.
I bought the cl version of it because of your review thank you
Great to hear!
if you're outside in the sun with an endless flat surface, how far can you see the laser if you're right next to it?
Nice review! Do you know if this will measure distances at a vertical angle and record the length along a the angle?
it dosnt seem accurate enough to use in the city for set backs? Also do you know how to use a digital measuing device for square in form accurately?

I love the vid
Thanks, man glad to hear it👊

Plz make video on how to calculate irregular rectangle area with this laser measuring instrument.....?
Good idea, I'm sure it would be helpful to many people.
@@MarkThomasBuilder tq for ur reply.
Hows the battery life? Would you recommend the CL instead?

What defferent betwen glm 400c and glm 150c?

Does this unit measure down to 32nds, like the glm50c?
It measures up to 1/16".

19/32 is just that, 19/32. You can cut 19/32 just as precisely as you can cut any other fraction, as long as you know where it is 😉
I really like your magic touch at min 10:20 when you transform the pouch in a paper magazine... Nice touch... Just joking... :) :)
Haha, it's magic!
QUESTION OF THE DAY: What projects do you find this useful? Could you perceive any other features needed on this unit? Please comment down below.
@Zachariah L That's a good idea! The price is $229.
Wow, that's cool! Thanks!
I have the cl. Love it great for estimating from landscape to bedrooms .

Measure property, measure hard scrape and tree locations. Tree height (tanAngle)
Can i find in your store a laser with 90 degree use in the daylight?

Can I use the Bosch with xactimate app
I don't think so. I believe it's only with the Bosch app. It wouldn't hurt to check with Bosch to find out for sure. Thanks!
you use alkaline or rechargeable batteries ?
I bought a big pack of Energizer batteries from Home Depot. They seem to work well.
If you were doing say interior measurements as well as maybe a fence around a property. How long would you say the batteries would approximately last?
1/32” accuracy
That's pretty accurate!
@@MarkThomasBuilder estimates is what I use mine for most of the time. When building things anything more than 1/8 is irrelevant to me
What you like about it
It's great for outdoor measurements. So much faster than a tape measure.
@@MarkThomasBuilder Hello brother I have Bosch GLM 120c how can we used outdoor
How did you know your setback was square to the property line ? I don’t think your set back measurement was accurate.
If I wanted to be perfectly square, I'd need a 3 plane laser to use off my property corners.
LGRW!!!!
😁🙌
Also with hiring survey companies if kids come by after and knock your stakes it doesn't cost you anything in wages to re stake lol
Interesting, never thought of that.
Can I use it for meter and cm units
Yes, I believe so.
