It's not crazy: many watches are WAY overpriced because they are sold as luxury goods: they sell using highstreet brand names and/or "Swiss" heritage (many Swiss watches are ironically half made in China anyway).

I'd bet that's what is costs Seiko to make a watch.

I bought a sewor early last year, Frank Muller inspired moonphase, display case back. To be fair it’s been well worth the £20 I don’t wear it a lot but I do like it it draws a lot of nice compliments too. Let’s face it if it was £50 I’d be disappointed but for £20 it’s been well worth the cost of a few pints

I bought a Starking high beat automatic white dial watch with sapphire crystal, metal bracelet with butterfly clasp and exhibition case back a couple of years ago for £21. Jody from JOMW reviewed it and it was accurate to about 3 seconds a day. Just looked now and they are about £50. I don’t wear mine often but it is still working fine.

I’m not quite sure if your wife said that 😉 I bought a pocket watch with a skeletonise movement for a wedding and for £11 I was amazed, on. My time graph it had zero beat error and +3 seconds, more accurate than some of my Swiss watches lol. Don’t know how long it will last if I used it every day though.

Of course it's hard to see from your ivory tower, but for a vast majority of us Invicta is a great brand. Hard to believe that most people don't have Rolex money. Why hate on someone else's taste because you have more money to get the luxury watches of your choosing. I find comments like this sad and elites.

I have Enicar Ultrasonic circa 1964 with the movement that looks a lot like this one sans skeletonization and mine has 21 jewels and less murder evidence on its surfaces.

Dammit, Russ, you had me laughing silly-loud here (somewhat annoying *my* wife upstairs) more than I have in a while from anything on YT. I would not be buying this watch for some of the reasons you mentioned earlier, but yeah, I'm amazed the thing works as well as it did as well.

A few years ago I bought a Sewor skeleton watch to give my assistant at work. He loves watches and I thought he might enjoy being able to see the innards of an old-school mechanical watch. He loved it, and every once in a blue moon he lets me know that it still works, which always surprises me lol.

Great show as ever,well you beat me, I bought a forsinning 'tourbillon' watch for £37 from amazon. It does work although the tourbillon is a special one as its fixed 😅, love to show you a picture (but your eyes will bleed) keep the shows coming,love em👍👍

Actually, i think its a bloody marvel. A skeletonised mechanical watch for £24.99 is beyond incredible!!! If you you're a watch fan and you want accuracy then stop being a watch fan because the most expensive watches aren't as accurate as a £5 quartz watch. The question with this one is not that it will work but for how long. Not as long as a Submariner obviously but seeing as you can get 600 of these for the price of a Starbucks then I'm pretty sure they'll last as long combined. Won't need servicing either as you'll chuck them and no one will crack your skull open for one of these bad boys

for the record I have given Pagani watches as gifts and seeing some of their most well made models now selling on Allie for literally less than $50 on Choice sales (whatever that is) I had to order a fauxterite Daytona on rubber for a lucky person out there who has a milestone birthday coming up 😂

you have to admire the Chinese small business owner trying to break into a totally foreign market. 80 years ago they had no chance to do anything other than swing a hammer in a steel mill or swing a shovel on a farm. Today we're checking out their mechanical watch. Literally the last option they would have imagined for themselves after an epic war against a super power.
