i have a really big problem, 5 days with no sleep beacuse of that, im not a designer, im an ingeneer, but some days ago a customer came and gave me a bottle, he wants to cover the bottle in fabric, so he needs the matrix to cut the fabric, i made a 3d scan, take fotos and 3d modeling in 3ds max using some fotos and mesurements to get a nice 3d model, but i cant convert in to a plane , y divide the object in 12 pieces and try to flatten, unfold etc but i really cant do it can u help me please?
Well, I didn’t see the bottle, but I have some ideas. First, the 3D model of the bottle must be somewhat low poly. Second, The position of the seam lines ( cutline edges ) is very important, as it defines the unfolded shape. If the method in the above video didn’t work, you can use “Pepakura Designer” (Another software) just for the unfolding process. ( I have some videos about “Pepakura Designer” in this channel ) Also see this 8 seconds video I just made, in the link below, if this is what you what, you can use Pepakura Designer to get this results. we.tl/t-GdaImhklne Notes: the unfolded shape can vary according to the cutline edges, so change them to get the result you required.
@@MaquetteArt thanks a Lot, yeso is that what i need, Buy i'm pepakura You must do the sketch before and then the softare Made the 3d tender, i hace the oposite, i hace a 3d and need to do 2d sketch
@@labassproject2897 Actually Pepakura is used to make the 2D sketch from the 3D shape You can watch this video, which explain how to use Pepakura designer ruclips.net/video/puaGNBTF0-M/видео.html
Thank you for the video. Obviously it’s a tutorial for professional. Is there an easier version for beginners? Also, do you have to use all 3 softwares to unroll the 3d shape? Thank You 🙏🏻
Hi, the video required basic knowledge of 3Ds Max and Autocad, you dont have to use the 3 software if your target is to just unfold the shape (Autocad was used to get a Vector file of the unfolded shape) so at least you will need 3Ds max for modeling and unfolding, plus Photoshop (or any photo editing app).
@@eltiganeymohammed758 Hi, you can scale it in AutoCAD using "Scale, Reference" to get an accurate dimensions, use any edge with a known dimension as the reference.
Hi Very instructive video! Thanks a lot! nice sound in the background...who plays there?
Thank you :)
@@MaquetteArt wondering what cool music is that in the video?
it is from RUclips Audio Library, Name "Selfie Stick"

how to get the same size ?
You can resize it manually either in Photoshop or AutoCAD, use any edge with a known dimension as a scale reference.
could you make a video to get the exact dimensions
