NONAGON ACCEPTS LIFE
Hi, can you go from Pepakura to Autocad? I'm learning to design LowPoly figures in Blender. My question is, what programs do you recommend so that once I finish designing the figure, the final result is to make it in metal. Thank you. I suppose it would be something like Blender > *Software X* > Autocad.
Hi, yes Pepakura can Export .dxf files which can then be imported in AutoCAD. So the work flow would be 1- Create the Low-Poly 3D Model in Blender 2- Export the 3D Model as .obj File, in order to open it in Pepakura 3- Unfold the Model in Pepakura 4- Export from Pepakura as .dxf, so that you can open it in AutoCAD By the way, if you are using Blender to create the Low-Poly 3D Models, there is a free add-on name “Export Paper Model” which can Unfold the 3D Model as well, similar to Pepakura, but I didn’t try this add-on, so I don’t have much info about it, but I think that Pepakura is better (but of course the add-on is free)

In Pepakura, Yes, From Menu Bar, “2D Layout” > “Show Fold Angle”

Wrong method
No, it is not wrong at all, and if you use this method you will get almost a perfect heptagon. I am saying almost because Heptagon is a non-constructible polygon, yet there is methods like this one to draw heptagons with a very high accuracy.

If I duplicate a 5 pointed star, and rotate it to make a 10 pointed star, is it a 10 pointed star? Or just (2)5 pointed stars overlapping? Or both?

Thank you 💖💖 Not sure which arc you mean :) I assume you mean the Perpendicular Bisector at 00:18 to 00:23 you can use one arc instead of 2 in case you are using set square, else you will have to draw the 2 arcs to draw the Perpendicular Bisector.

Can you give measures pls
Hi, the Major Axis and Minor Axis varies depending on the size and shape of the ellipse you want to draw. for example to get a similar ellipse like the one in the video, Major Axis = 20 cm and Minor Axis = 15 cm, so basically the ratio between the Major/Minor Axis is 4/3. so if you draw it Major=10 and Minor=7.5 you still get the same shape of the ellipse in the video (because the ratio is still 4/3) but of course you can change any of those numbers.

You don't explain how you get one lenght with the compas at 16sec
May be because we can't... Proof by Galois last century
If you mean from sec 16 to 23 (drawing the small horizontal line) That is called Perpendicular Bisector and "Any" radius will work to draw the perpendicular bisector as long as it is the same radius for all 4 arcs (from sec 16 to 23). - In you second comment, this is another story :) I think you mean that a Heptagon is Non-constructible (Using a Compass and Straight Edge) and yes it is not constructible , this is approximate method, but if your drawings is accurate you should not be able to see the small approximation error.

Hi, dividing a circle into 100% perfect 11 parts using compass and straight edge (no measurements) is not possible in Geometry, so this method is not 100% accurate, let’s say it is 99.5% accurate, so if your drawing is accurate you should not be able to see the very small error. So there is no geometrical proof as this is approximate method.
