I'm confused. Mom divorced dad because he was creepy with daughter. Then mom gives dad partial custody so daughter doesn't grow up without a dad. Mother of the year

Not sure what state you're in.. but in lovely Florida this happens all the time. Judges give zero f's about creepy or abusive fathers, and i mean ZERO. it's a 50-50 no fault state period. you have no idea how many mothers get divorced and doesn't matter what a father does he will always get custody/visitation period (here in FL). I've helped women who have fought in court over father's even sexually abusing their daughter.. and judge throws out the case!! the only way for a mom to protect her children from bad father's is to change identity and run to another country. it's sick and sad, the family court system.

Hes a cop. The mother has no brain either. So court doesnt care. From knowing something (not saying whom this is about) judges dont care and most lawyers dont do shit or cps. A girl still gets to go to her dads every other weekend. CPS didn't do there jobs on the molestation report. Judge seen papers and judge said if it happens again ___ wont get to see ____ anymore. So yeah. The mother tried everything and the girl is in therapy. The molestation was happening at the girls fathers home by the girls half brother almost every other weekend. It's sad. The girl didnt say anything until the next year when the father stopping coming to get their daughter. Dad is on his sons side I guess.

It's so sad that 99% of her family spit in her face and turned their back on her while a complete fucking stranger was her night in shinging armor.
I'm so thankful for her that he came into her life and gave her the encouragement and support that she needs and more importantly DESERVES.
I am glad that she finally met a good man. Hopefully, over time, he will help her get through all this. She shouldn't be feeling weird doing natural motherly things with the children, or feeling uncomfortable with affection in a normal healthy relationship.
@@tonyprice2256 Unfortunately that's what years and years of sexual, emotional, and really any sort of abuse does to a person. Especially when the abuser is your own father who in a way you still love, adore, and want his approval.
I can completely understand why she feels that way and I hope through therapy and having a circle of solid friends and her husband around her will help her release those feelings and live the beautiful life she deserves.

Happens more than you know. When I told my aunt mycousin was sexually abusing me I was called a liar, told I was hallucinating and kicked out at 14, went to my grandmothets and he still came there and did it. Had my grandma throw it in my face saying I was a liar. So I took to the streets instead of being abused and not having any help.

Mine got two years after having proof from a doctor. My himen was popped by six years old by my dads best friend. We went to court and all. The court case is online. But he only got two years. I wanted to confront him looked him up online and he’s dead
Very simple answer is that people in power, Government Officials, Police, Military leaders, Religious Leaders, are quite large sexual predators in relative numbers. they make or guide the standards of Law, so the first thing they do is to protect themselves.

@janice jeandron That sucks that he was dead and you were all ready to confront him. It’s actually very sad. Have you ever tried to find out where he was buried - if he was buried? Just a stupid thought, probably. I never really got to confront my father, either, not when and how I wanted to. He got ALS at 77 and I took care of him until he died. I tried to be a big person in my heart and forgive him, but once he was gone, I knew I hadn’t been able to fully. But now I think that’s not having a small heart, it’s just normal.
Her so called mother is as guilty as the dad. Who really loved and cared for this little girl?

You are stronger than I am. My mother physically abused me for over 10 years she never told me she love me and she never hug me and even win I found out she passed away I felt a loss. So I kind of understand about the love-hate or your father. I am 64 now and hope You are able to not allow someone that has wronged you to have Any type of control over any aspect of your life. Same here regarding my mother. One time I asked her to hold my hand while we walked and it felt like a cold skeleton’s hand. My grandmother’s hand were always warm…so I felt lucky to have her.
My mother was similar. She ran hot and cold. Smothered with love and then beaten with a hairbrush. I never knew what the day was going to bring. I was estranged from her but when she died I realized that I still loved her.

Unfortunately for many victims of childhood sexual abuse it's easier to pretend that both parents aren't equally messed up. I hope to God she gets some therapy to heal in ALL aspects. Idk if she can ever be whole but she can have a productive life filled with love, even spending the rest of her life fighting the demons that chases her

I went to my mother about my grandfather and she did NOTHING. And even though I'm terminal with cancer, she can't bring herself to apologize about anything. I absolutely hate her!!! Maybe I'll get better parents in the next lifetime.

When abuse is revealed most often the family rejects the abused child. They can only love the child if the child keeps their mouth shut. It's sick but it's the norm and a big reason abused children never speak up. Not only were they abused, but if they speak up now they won't even have the "love" from their "family" anymore. Of course their family does not love them, but it's the only thing they have ever had close to love. It's actually a miracle she has let this man that actually does love her into her life.

It sickens me how the rest of her family turned on her. Why does society shun the victims? I don’t understand it. The man admitted to it all, and pleaded guilty but these family members still don’t believe her and act as if she’s ruined his life. He did that all on his own. The justice system have flaws because it is a human system implemented by humans that are flawed. There are times where the System gets it right and wrong. Perhaps if we all practice the laws of God. Maybe this world would not require such an injustice legal system. And before any comments are made I said laws of God not religion. Religion is just a space of where others practice the same ideas and beliefs. God laws are guidelines for living in an imperfect world. It is designed to give us some form of balance against the cruelty of the imperfection systems.
This woman is very very strong. Ik exactly how she feels and she’s not alone. My family turned their backs. My mother chose my step father over my older sister and I. I’m so sooooo glad this woman got a form of justice. My step father only got 5 years house arrest and 10years probation along w a confession and registration of being a sex offender. These kind of people make me sick and I can only hope for the victims that they get some sort of closure and healing

What could she have done? The court wouldn’t have taken his custody away unless she had SOLID proof. If the daughter wasn’t ready to speak about it the case would’ve been thrown out and the father given sole custody. Especially with his position her word against his meant nothing and if she tried to take the girls and run her could’ve got her arrested for kidnapping and then what? He’d get sole custody. There was nothing she could’ve done until that girl was ready to talk about it and prove it.

Worse according to his inmate information,. he can be earley paroled in 1 st of january 2021 or his minimum release that means expected time to serve is 29th of may 2028 his maximum realeas date is 1st of januray 2033. Lets hope he serves more than the few months that are currently remaining. when i read all his chrges he could have been senteced to 33 years in prison. Insted he barley gets half og the maximum. Probably because he was a veteran cop.

She may have trusted him and never ever did it dawn to her that he was a predator. Simply because in her mind he is a cop and her father. Hard to even imagine to her. Predators lie. It’s what they do best. If she had confronted him with only suspicion he would have acted offended and how dare she think such of him. He was carefull to see how far he could push the limits. I was abused by a family member from ages 7-11 and because of it, I struggle being intimate with my spouse, suffered infertility for almost a decade, I’m a bit uncomfortable changes my kids’ diapers at times, and I’m almost a helicopter parent to make sure nothing happens to my children- I’m always paranoid for their safety. I have emotional scars that I have to carry for the rest of my life, all in the name of gratification for a selfish piece of trash.

Then he, probably prompted by Dad, told me a sexual joke. I complained to their mother, who told me to "have a sense of humor" Neither the situation, nor the joke were funny. She enabled the uncle.
