Enjoy your stay in Japan. You will come to hate Jp summer heat with a passion. What city will you be stationed? 3:39 I am always confused about the ped lights. If you have a ped lights, you need to stop for the green. However, there are some streets and I will take your example from this timestamp. From where you are standing, there is a ped light. However, if you are on the other side of the street (just place yourself to the right of you) still facing the same direction of where you are going now. There will be no ped light. I come to the conclusion that, you can cross when it is safe, but since you are stand on the side with the light, you need to wait. 4:38 Ah, perfect example of what I was trying to explain. This 4:38 shot, straight ahead you see 2 green ped lights on either side of the street. The one of the right, on certain street will not have a ped light, but the left side will. 5:13 That is the Sompo Japan Building.
@@ducsue751 I will not be stationed in a city - I am far in the inaka in a village called Nanmoku. So far it is as you say the summer best is a killer haha
You`ll pick up the Japanese quickly enough, welcome aboard, great country to live in! Hope it all works out for you! If you have any questions you can ask me anytime.
In the uk we don’t have traffic lights at what we call zebra crossings which is where vehicles must stop for pedestrians whereas in Japan it seems it’s combined with traffic lights. Also it has a timer on the traffic lights, we don’t have those in the uk.
