Happy to know I'm still remembered!

Part of this was that I was in the mountains. However, the snow here comes from Russia which is why Japan has some of the most snowfall in the world

I'm sure you'll love it either way!

I'm convinced that apple jam + butter is simply better but apple butter is a nice easy form factor. I only have to get one utensil dirty to prepare my toast haha

It's a good question and something that I can't speak to right now because I have only lived here for two months. So much can change in life - but what I can say for now is that I would not be against living here for an extended period of time.

Unfortunately One Piece is over 25 years old. It's very difficult to avoid spoilers these days. Good luck with the journey!

@@BaldManJapan please do. They can climb trees like large squirrels and when hungry can develop into relentless pursuers. They are smaller, yes, but they are also vicious pests and can overtake a large strong man in many situations. Here in USA in the west we have black bears with brown fur and they grow to very large sizes and should be regarded as man eaters if you are unprotected and far away from help. The wilderness is their back yard, and we are merely visitors. I advise carrying bear spray, and a large caliber gun as backup protection if you are like me and hike solo off trail. Cheers. I mention this not to shock you but prepare you to die of old age instead being a meal for a bear!

Not yet - it is going to be a long journey to get to a point where I can hold any kind of reasonable conversation but I am hoping to get there by the end of the programme!
