I love how Marcus just has this heavy English swagger to him in a largely American crew(granted, they're from different Earth Alliance territories). His dress and appearance make him seem like a chivalrous Medieval man in a different time.
A shame he couldn't have been a recurring character through out the series, and if there was a Ranger spin off he would have been a great part of it. Thanks for this
The first time he meets Delenn is in a seedy bar where he sets down two drinks for the Minbari. Lennier takes one of them and samples it. _"No alcohol. It is safe. Mister--?"_ _"Just Marcus..."_ I honestly wish they'd gone for the gag and have him go by 'Just Marcus' at least for a little while. Describes him to a T.
Lenneir arrives at the bar to find Marcus is, indeed, the only one still standing. "They said during my Ranger training that I had a lot of repressed anger. I'm not repressed any more." / Marcus and Franklin on the ship headed for Mars: "I spy something that begins with 'E'." "No... don't..." Together, "Even more boxes!" "And that's when I shot him Your Honor!" 🤣🤣
Marcus is one of my most beloved unrequited loves. I put him up there with LOTR "No man can defeat me! and "I am no man!" response. I think what both these souls and imagery represent is the unexpected hero, the acolyte, the disregarded, who someone goes on to change history. Fractal repeat the hobbits joining up with the Ents and wiping out the towers versus Ivanka that should have been outed years earlier but had an unrecognized energy that not even the Vorlons recognized, even though they had been up close and personal with her. Those in the know on neurodiversity would now out Ivanka has high masking autism. With the ability to hide her condition, shield, and her symptoms, so the normal goons did not "out her".
Ah Markus, the tragic ranger who despite originally never wanting to even be a ranger came to embody what it truly means to actually be a ranger, in body (so being in shape, knowing how to fight), mind and soul! Not my most favourite character on the show, because he's a bit self-righteous (just like Sheridan and Delenn at times!), but certainly not a character I dislike!
that 'life' machine always bothered me. "to save one, one must die" wait, what if we connected 2 or even 20 to it? it takes 100% of a (single) person's life force to save a dying patient. so with multiples to draw from the amount would be lessened in each case. 100% for 1, 1% for 100
I agree. That is how they saved Garibaldi after all, and even Dr. Franklin suggested that exact thing when he compared it to donating blood. My best guess is that they never learned to calibrate it that way and were too afraid to keep messing around with it.
Extra points for including Franklin's strangled scream at the end credits.
I wasn't sure anyone would stick around once they saw the credits start to roll, but decided it needed to be in there regardless.

1:32 "OH, Bugger! Now I have to wait for somebody to wake up..." 😂
PS.: 👍👍 for that insanely hilarious ending. 🤣
Marcus was my fav character on that show.
✌️

Marcus, a true believer, all the way to the end.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA~! 🤣
That ending! That brought back a LOT of good memories. Thanks a ton for this!
Sometimes it's worth it to stick around for the credits. :)
That ending hurts!! Mordin solus you are missed!!! Marcus and mordin would be such a duo!!!!
I can see Sheridan and Shephard face-palming off to the side.
"isil'zha veni, in valen's name" - the fight scene ended too early, it was one of the defining scenes for Marcus and Neroon
"Who Knew they were French"
We live for the one, we die for the one. RIP Marcus. 1 Tear of Water, and 2 of Blood.
I now realize who my hero growing up was. It was Marcus.
He is deserving of the title.
I loved Marcus so much then, and I love him now. How Ivanova kept her hands off him baffles me to this day.

Marcus is so delightfully Irish...or Scottish...
You missed when he met "king author".
King Arthur
haha...at the end..brilliant, he was so into doing it they had to yell to get his attention...............WHAT??
What? Stop singing? But I'm so good!
Loved Babylon 5.
Wonderful! Thank you!
Marcus. The The Fifth Musketeer of Babylon 5 😁

0:10 ohhhh today's English literature PreLim flashbacks😂😂
This is where Marvel movies taught us to stay for the credits. 🤣🤣

What was the actor name???
He reminds me of Dr. Basir. On Ds9
Always going after women
Always wants 2 go with. Cmndr Ivonava
Marcus was played by Jason Carter, Dr. Bashir by Alexander Siddig.
In real life, Bashir was married to Kira.
💗🌈💗🌈💗🌈💗🌈💗
Garibaldi was right.
