  • Wilco performs "Hate It Here" live at the Farm Aid concert in St. Louis, Missouri on October 4, 2009. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

Ditto, I watched that about 4 times. Was right on time with that last note/cymbal crash.

Very cool. The overall sound has a very '70s George Harrison vibe. I'm hearing George's version of The Beatles "In My Life" from the 1974 North American Darkhorse tour.

to me Wilco is all in for George. "You never know" guitar is vintage George.

RockYouVideos I've been feeling the same way. A lot of songs on this album, Star Wars and Schmilco have a similar feel to me. I think they are great! Early Wilco vs. Later Wilco. The great debate.
Good to know I'm not the only person that noticed this about their sound.

they don't, it's just an impression because of the holding chords on the guitar
