It sounds like this clean-out was filmed and completed quite a while ago. I guess that means that all of the things shown in these videos have already been auctioned off. If that is the case, you may have gotten more at the auction if you had posted the videos before the auction so that viewers could bid on things they saw during the clean-out. If I am wrong about that, please be sure to let us know when the auction is scheduled. Your clean-outs are my favorite kind of videos so I am enjoying this series!

The amount of " stuff " of low value, compared to most homes, seems to make this a low profit project. That happens, that's real life. Sometimes, you work hard, and just get by. The fact you show it, and it's still entertaining, is the magic !

The couple took the stuff they wanted when they down sized. Basically they had someone pay them to clean out their junk. Most people have to pay others to do that. I am betting the best stuff was in the basement. You know all that old junk from the 60s and 70s. All the kids toys, etc.

Alex is also making very good money from his RUclips channel, so even if he just breaks even in terms of expenses vs profit from a clear out, it's worthwhile to him from the aspect of providing interesting content for his channel.

@@rachelh5211 I'm sorry if I have to disappoint you. Sure Alex earns money from youtube, but not as much as you might think. Don't look at the numbers of subscribers alone, you have to look at how many views his videos generates, and it's unfortunately not big numbers, and youtube changing the algorithms all the time, doesn't exactly help either.

@jrand2631 This might be true. However, I feel fairly confident he's doing just fine financially. One doesn't own that many unique vehicles and have the funding to do the ventures Alex does if one is struggling financially. I'm not saying this with any malice whatsoever. I admire his hustle, and he deserves every penny he earns. He's a smart businessman and wouldn't have taken on this clear-out if he felt it wouldn't be worthwhile.

Hi Alex and Melissa! I’m hoping you make a profit when all is said and done. I’m drawn to the china and crystal. I love old books too. As you explore, I find myself thinking about buying more stuff, but I am in the process of clearing out my own collections and books. I decided to do a “death cleaning” to make sure that items I want to pass on to a particular person are given to them now. The older one gets, the more having your comfort items close by matters. The dust build up is proof of longevity in my opinion, and it is difficult to keep clean as you become more disabled. I’m thinking the owners were just unable to keep up. ❤

This house seem to have a lot of stuff that just went to charity. I follow a few people that do house clean outs and also dumpster diving. While it could be a lot of work, a couple of them do a huge one day yard sale. Cheap prices. And they might make $1000-$2000. One pays a couple of Family members 25% of the profits to do the yard sale for them. What’s left over goes to charity. Their family members do the work, they earn some extra money, and the other person makes a profit too.

The moose head gravy boat was the best.

For greasy kitchen decor, get some Krud Kutter or some other degreaser and a gentle scrubby. Dish soap and a sponge will not get it off.

I'm with Melissa....I love sorting stuff. And that aqua kitchen sink! I have never seen one like that before. Is that porcelain or painted stainless steel?

Bless your heart, Alexander! What a lot of work? I am so happy your family is helping you. I would be so overwhelmed. I probably just sit down and cry. Hope you have a nice rest. Enjoy the holiday when this is done.❤

I missed these series. I'm really enjoying this one. When is the auction?
Those bakers racks are gorgeous. My parents had a moose creamer. I wish I had it.

That gravy boat is the most Canadian thing I've seen. Probably worth a pretty penny.

These are my favorite videos that you all put out, very much enjoying it. I almost missed the whole series because of the elections here in the USA and my pages being flooded. Looking forward to Chapter 6. Anna In Ohio

You do have a nice pickup. I've had a couple old Ford pickups.

The dinner sets are worth thousands of dollars. Problem with auctions are you don't reach the people that really want it.

Love seeing the Shakespeare’s Sonnets ironstone. I have a small set and am always incredibly happy when I find pieces to add to it.

The moose is a creamer, definitely not for hot gravy!

You are really finding some beautiful china , and decorations in that house. If I didnt think it would be too expensive to ship I would love that bean pot. I had a beautiful one that a friend had an accident with and broke. Been making my beans in a small roaster but couldnt figure out why they didnt taste the same. I realized it was the shape of the bean pot that cooked them in such a way the flavors were richer. Been looking for a replacement since mine broke . You'd be surprised how hard they are to find at least in my area. Great series . Keep Safe❤Keep Well❤

Most of the Moose creamers/pitchers are antiques.

Keep waiting for you to mention the lovely red Finel enamel bowl on top of the kitchen cabinet.
