Sweet Bonnie, we all get kitchens that get a little disheveled, living does that sometimes! I cleaned for a living years ago, hard work and exhausting. Some times we just need to be. I have the same wax burner, a dog that likes to do pre-wash on the dishes too! 10 minutes goes a long way, you show us all the time. I see a lot of similarity between us. You keep inspiring every time I watch, Thank You!
Haters are always going to hate. Please know that we the ones who matter love you, no matter what. You do good and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You are great, compassionate, you are awesome❤❤❤❤.
This was just so ironic, because I just did that "same" quick maintenance in my kitchen. It does need a thorough cleaning for sure. That's a project for "Future Me." Thanks to Mira, I use her quote a lot. 😁
Great representation of a quick clean up. It always makes you feel good after that leftover mess is put away and cleaned. Your voice and volume sounded perfect too…😃😃😃
I’m so glad someone else has a hang up about unloading the dishwasher. I put it down to the fact this was my chore growing up. I live alone now and i still HATE unloading the dishwasher. It is so stupid. It takes 5 minutes. And yet i avoid it all cost.
LOL at your dog helper! My hack is that I put on a podcast/video while I'm cleaning. I get so engrossed I don't notice the time passing. I would have cleaned along to this video, but I watched this after my dinner clean up, so nothing left to tidy 😁It's getting sooo much warmer here that I'm trying hard to have the kitchen wiped down before bed, so smells/bugs don't have a chance. Sometimes life happens though, and this video is a great reminder that it never takes as long to clean up as it looks like it will!
Good job! ♥️ I am the kind of person who literally can not go to bed at night unless my kitchen is clean. No dishes undone. No food left out. Just as perfect as it can be before I can even think of sleeping. My Mom and her Mom were the same way so I come by this method after years of early indoctrination 😂. That and some OCD symptoms too😊❤
I used to be more like that, but I have had to be a little bit more lax about that since starting this channel because some days I get so busy and get home so late that I just crash when I get home.🤪 Then there are days like yesterday that I honestly forgot all about it after we were done with the movie.😄
Im the same need to clean up kitchen & def sink area. Prob is that my boys make all sorts of meals late at night so sink is full again in the am😂😂 thanks Bonnie for the sneak peak into ur home!❤
Have a great day Bonnie! Thanks for sharing. This is the reality of life. We live in our homes, we dont just exist. Who can have a perfect sterile existence!? No home is perfection.
Lol, you had all that food on your counter all the night and your dog didn’t touch anything but he wants to lick the plates. Beyond precious 🥰🐾gorgeous kitchen!!! Loved the video👍👍👏
Glad to know I'm not the only one who on occasion my kitchen gets ignored. I really get irritated with myself when that happens. I don't like to open to a mess.
I have just accepted that it happens sometimes. I generally try not to do that, but sometimes I really just forget to finish cleaning up before I go to bed.😁
I love this Bonnie, this doesn't happen too often in our home. Just 2 of us now. When the kids were young, that happened a lot. Getting the kids off to bed was a chore & I was exhausted, so I just fell asleep. I did it in the morning! No dishwasher back then either! I'm so glad that you're rinsing the dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher. I don't care if the machine says you can. I would not! But you speed clean it in about 12 mins or so. That's great, too! Love your doggie looking for crumbs. Our dog does it, too! Thanks for being so real! You're precious! ♥️😊🫂🐾🐾✨️
I love this!! We don't need to act like we have it all together 100% of the time. Sometimes making family memories leaves a mess, but that's so worth it!! 🫶🩵 Your camera quality is perfect btw 👌
Absolutely!! The more we let down our guard and show people the real us, the more people we will attract like that. We have enough perfect Instagram homes out there that make people feel bad about themselves and that they are not doing enough. I definitely don't want to portray that things are always looking perfect in my home.😊
This is what my kitchen looks like most mornings. I feel so accomplished if I get it done before bed, but I’m just done with the day after dinner lol so my routine is to clean it in the morning. 🤷🏻♀️ one day I won’t be so tired at the end of each day and things will be more in order!
I admire you much for putting your REAL life out there instead of a picture-perfect image! This is what the world needs today especially with all filtered and fake stuff on social media. And I love the fact that you have a furred friend 🤗
I have always appreciated "real" people in my life. They have always been the type of people that I'm drawn to, so I figured why not let the world know I'm not perfect either.🤪
Thank you Bonnie for the update. I find it helpful to do ten minute bursts of tidying and then I don’t feel too tired. The look of surprise on your dogs face when you started moving quickly really made me laugh! ❤❤😊😂
What's so funny is I didn't even realize the hilarious look on my dog's face until people started mentioning it so I had to go back and watch and she really is looking at me like I'm crazy!😂
She's good for people whose houses keep getting out of hand & are feeling overwhelmed. She concentrates on building routines. She starts with baby steps--shining your sink before going to bed for example. My biggest take-away is you can do anything for 5 min.
I do the same give myself a timer and go! Also the lids on tupperware work for my daughter's house but I do nesting for my house. Everyone does what works best for them. Love your dog.
Great video Bonnie. I really appreciated seeing a lived in kitchen get tidied. And I'm like you. I put EVERYTHING in the dishwasher. Even my GIANT stainless steel skillet. Cookie sheets, you name it. The only thing that doesn't go in there is cast iron and any other type of metal that might rust. I love my dishwasher lol.
Yes!! I have ruined a couple of things over the years by using my dishwasher for things that shouldn't have gone in there, so I have learned what not to put in there for the most part, but I probably still put things in there that aren't recommended... haha!
I think I'll set a timer for my bathroom! I really despise cleaning it. It's about the size of a phone booth so you'd think it wouldn't be a big deal, but it is for me. Once it's done I'm happy. It's getting started that's the issue! Lol! Great video, Bonnie. Have a blessed week.
The point is, the daily messes are manageable in only a few minutes. I wondered how the “lids on Tupperware” would work out … I don’t feel it would work at my house either. I’ve been declutterring/deep cleaning one cabinet per day and a dresser drawer per day. It’s hard finding time to add deep cleaning to the daily stuff but I’ll get there.
Yes, dishwasher fan here! I avoid handwashing as much as possible. This was ideal for a quick cleanup, and typical of what we all need to do several times a day. Thx, Bonnie.
Lol. Loved this video. Speed racer pickin up the kitchen, I can relate ahahaha. Settin the timer an givin yourself a goal is a good idea. I would enjoy tryin to beat the timer. Ahahaha. Thanks for sharin. ❤
This is fantastic. Years ago I started 5, 10 and 15 minutes of clean, depending on how messy it gets. I don't push for or need more than that to keep the basics handled. 5 handles trash taken out and counters clean. 10 handles the same plus dishes put up. 15 handles the same plus reloading and tossing clothes in the washer. It really helps because I get to tell the kids exactly what I need from them and they know it's not going to be any more than what I asked to start with.
My dog does the same thing, always waiting for something lickable to be placed in the dishwasher. I’m glad to see someone else rinsing out dishes prior to placing them in the dishwasher.
Beautiful. It's real life. I love nesting pots, pans, tuppers, etc. I like to have them in the same spot and saving so much cabinet space so need it for pantry, medicines, diy suplies, bills files etc. My kitchen is 1/3 of yours, maybe less but need to do all that funtions for me. This videos are very interesting. Real time chores. ❤❤❤.
I appreciate your taking the time to talk about time management! I struggle with that myself. I just recently started using a timer to see how long it would take me to do certain tasks, and I was kinda surprised! thanks so much for sharing! xoxo
I know you're now suspecting you have adhd, but I can tell you that the "challenge yourself with a time limit" is called gamify something and is a tip often given to people with ADHD. The way I figured out I have ADHD was by watching the video "How to adhd" with Jess, initially I thought that some suggestions might work on my autism and I just kept recognizing myself in what she talked about in her videos, I love that channel and she's about to release a book that I just want translated to Swedish so my mom could read it and get an understanding of how my brain works. Anyway that channel is really good, using research and gives really good tips, it's also good for the ego, being told that it's not my fault that I am the way I am, the signals just gets lost on the way. I love that we both have a proper way to load the dishwasher XD
great job, Bonnie! could hear you well this time. so nice. you could have gone faster if you didn't pre-rinse your dishes. if you use good detergent with a fairly new dishwasher, don't need to pre-rinse or pre-wash. i never do!!! and mine come out very clean. no one can have totally picked up and clean house all the time, unless they don't live in it! my mom worked full time and had a magnet on the fridge that said "our house is clean enough to be healthy, but dirty enough to be happy". i think that's a great quote. it was great to watch your pup watching you zoom around the kitchen too!
I love that quote so much! It's so true. I feel like having a completely sterile house all the time really messes with your immune system. I think it's good to have a little dirt and not stress so much about everything being fantastically clean all the time. Also, it's going to be hard, but I'm going to try not rinsing my dishes and just see what happens. I just don't trust that my dishwasher will actually get it clean without rinsing because I've never had a dishwasher that could, but ours is fairly new, so I guess I will give it a try and see how it goes.🤞
I love the idea of having the lids on the food storage containers but I found that if you do not get them completely dry when you put the lid on them including the lid they get smelly. Some of the containers are hard to get all the way dry due to the seals in the lids. So I found that to same myself time I just nest them and try to keep them neat. I like the snap ware containers they stack nice even the lids. Thanks for sharing
Yeah, a lot of people have commented about the smell if you don't get them completely dry and I can see that. I think I need to invest in either a new set of Tupperware so we don't have a mishmash of all kinds of Tupperware or just get some glass ones. Both have their pros and cons.
My blog post this week was on a similar vein as this! I cleared up a totally trashed kitchen in under 20 mins. And I timed each individual task just to see how long it really took as for ADHD we are totally time blind and it can both prevent us from even starting, or underestimate or overestimate how much we can accomplish. Also letting better be the goal as my hero Dana says, and not prefect. 😊
I laughed when I got to that part of Dana's book where she would time everything because I have been doing that for years, but in the opposite way where I would set a timer and then try to beat it, but by doing that, I did get a feel for about how long it takes to clean up certain things. It is pretty remarkable how much you can get done if you just get moving.😊❤️
So what I wound up doing was buying a whole new set from Rubbermaid with the same size lids, some are shallow, some are deep, but I have one area with the lids on their sides, and two stacks. I loved my old Tupperware and my freebie sliced meat containers but as soon as they got separated from their lid they were useless and it was really frustrating. Thank you, nice video, I got my dishes put up and cleaned todays and will be making dinner soon!
I'm almost to the point of throwing everything out and starting fresh. I think I really want to do the glass bowls with lids only because I keep hearing about all of the dangers of plastic and using them to heat up food in, etc. But the plastic ones really are so much more convenient than the glass ones and take up less space, so I'm still undecided on that.🤔😁
I looked past the mess and you are blessed to have a beautiful home. I rent a 6 room condo and I have everything I need. I have a laundry room, a lovely patio where I feed the birds and squirrels. Excellent neighbors and a good landlord. YHWH-God is good... ALL of the time.
Absolutely! I know I'm very blessed with a beautiful home. And even though I know I have always been very driven and have worked really hard to get to where I'm at, I know that I always feel so much better giving service to others as a way of thanking God for all that I've been blessed with. God IS good!👍🙏💕
So I decided to put a timer on me for my kitchen this morning and then another timer for my bedroom. It took less than 15 in the kitchen, and less than 112 in my bedroom. Was dreading and not wanting to do anything, thanks for your help👍
Thank you for being really. Some days it works to just take care of the clutter and straighten up so you can get to other things that need to be done. Get video.
I'm not a super clean mom but I see that if something has a place, it is much easier to tidy up. Also, staying on top of it daily helps a TON. It's like brushing your hair. If you let it go too long, it is brutal to get through.
Can you tell I have young daughters? Ahahha I tell them over and over again to keep up with their hair brushing or it becomes a nightmare. Housework is the same. Lol
Lucky you - you clearly don’t have mice! Finding evidence of mice a few times a year forced me to be scrupulously neat and clean when it comes to food. So it’s a good thing that a single crumb shows up well on my counters. 😂
Yeah, we don't get very many mice. We have a lot of cats that live around us, so I think they keep them pretty well controlled. Now, ants is a different story. Those should be showing up in the next couple of weeks as soon as it starts to get a little warmer. Ants can be annoying, but at least I'm not grossed out by them. And thank goodness I have never seen a roach in my home. If I ever did, I would be gutting the entire house, cleaning it out, and then putting everything back.😂
I hate unloading the dishwasher, sometimes I wash my dishes so I don’t have to do it! It’s only my husband and myself so really do prewash (not rinse) dishes I put in the dishwasher because it takes me 3 days to fill it. I guess I use mine as a sanitizer most!
Haha, I can see myself not using the dishwasher after it's just my husband and I. I actually don't mind washing dishes and it probably wouldn't be worth it to run the dishwasher with so few dishes or waiting 3 days for it to fill up. 🤔
That's a great idea! I actually was using a dish drainer before I decluttered things and it worked great, but I gave it to the homeowner that I'm helping right now. I may get another one, though, because I loved having all the little slots that held them upright.
Random observation.... I noticed you have a COSORI air fryer on your counter? We had one too - loved it - until it caught fire on my counter from an internal electrical spark! I was fortunate enough to be able to take it outside quickly and douse it with water. And also just received an email from Amazon on the recall that COSORI is running for all the models that catch fire. Hopefully you'll check it out? Also - I'm with you on loading the dishwasher - omg - I end up re-organizing it when someone else loads it.... 😂
So we did get the email about the fire hazard of this particular air fryer and the recall on them, and I tried to get the replacement. I don't remember exactly what the problem was, but we kept running into something where it was just a pain to try to get it replaced, and then I kind of forgot about it. I should probably try again. Good thing we have a fire extinguisher right next to it, though, just in case ...haha!! How scary to have that actually catch fire! Good thing you were able to get it outside quickly enough.
Bonnie, I love your kitchen. I do have a question. Does your dog pick up your burnouts that you have? Your dog was very attentive, watching you closely. Love your videos.
I was actually doing pretty well when I did this video since this was like 5 or 6 months ago that I actually filmed it. As for my dog picking up on when I'm burned out, I actually don't know. She always wants attention, so it's a little hard to tell whether she just needs attention or whether she wants to comfort me. I do remember after I had my back surgery 7 years ago that she wouldn't leave my side, so I think there is a part of her that picks up on when we need a little extra love. She definitely helps my mood. ❤️😊
I have the perfect recommendation for the problem of leaving food/dirty dishes out. Own a cat who is constantly scavenging for food and also will barf at the SLIGHTEST provocation. We never leave ANY food out. That bread would have had teeth marks all over it, the contents of that plate would have been half gone, and there would be additional cat barfs (3, to be exact) to clean up around the house. This is the MOST effective food clean up method I have found thus far.
I haven't used my microwave as a timer before, its a good idea! I sometimes tidy the kitchen while making a cup of tea or coffee, or while something is cooking and I think that has a similar motivation - a short ish amount of time to get things done. I also put everything in the dishwasher, and I dont rinse it first either. If I had to add extra tasks, I'd leave things even longer 😅 Things still almost always come out clean, especially if you stack things with space like you mentioned!
I'm trying to rinse less since a lot of people commented on this video and said that the newer dishwashers, you actually aren't supposed to rinse off a lot of food because it messes up the sensors. So, as hard as it has been, I have been trying to rinse a little less. Some things come out okay. There are still other things that I feel like I need to scrub a little bit before I put in there.
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp mine manages even baking dishes ie if I've made lasagne and the sauce has stuck on around the top etc Dana K White has made some videos about dishwashers, she said she went to visit the manufacturer and got some tips! One of which is to use the better products- they're aparrently more expensive for good reason. I do use the more premium dishwasher soap and run an intensive cycle if there's something more stuck on going in. I also make sure it's topped up with salt and rinse aid. Usually if something has come out dirty it's because the salt or rinse aid ran out.
How did I not know about salt in the dishwasher?!!! I just looked up a video about it. I don't think I actually need it because we have soft water, but I have seriously never even heard about this or seen dishwasher salt sold anywhere. Where do you live? I wonder if it's just not really a thing around here.
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp I think lots of people don't know - my friend complained hers didn't work well and she didn't know about salt or rinse aid. I gave her some to try and it works better now!! The salt container is at the bottom of my machine under a cap about the size of my hand. You wouldn't necessarily notice it unless you're looking for it I'm in the UK, and we do have very hard water in this area, so it's essential here. In fact, I often laugh a little at the "limescale stains" in cleaning videos because they look like my house after a week or 2!! Shiny taps? Sure, the day I clean them! 😉 There are actually settings on my machine based on water hardness (which you can find on the website for the water company), and then the machine will put the right amount of salt in for the water. So it's worth checking - maybe yours would just need the lowest level? Or maybe none at all, but it's worth a try as the salt doesn't cost much. I get the salt from the supermarket, it's with the other dishwasher products. The other thing I find helps is cleaning the filter periodically, like every month or 2, but if you've been rinsing the stuff first yours is probably really clean.
Thank you for teaching me something new. I've used rinse aid, but never the salt. Although, I did stop rinsing my dishes so much and it does seem my dishwasher is doing a good job still. I wonder how many hours I've wasted rinsing dishes when I didn't need to... lol!
When you clean hard water stains on glass shower after you clean it apply on a rag rain X ( that you would use on windshield of a car) apply on glass . It repelled the stains for awhile.
Someone else mentioned this and I think it's a great idea. I think I actually have some in my garage right now. Now the trick is to find time to actually do it. I have about a million things going on.🤪😄

A beautiful cook's kitchen. A kitchen of my dreams! God bless.
I let things go on the weekend too. Monday morning is usually a mess. Lol
I learned the timer method from the Fly Lady--works great. 5 minute room rescue for overwhelming messes. 15 per room once a week for a house blessing.
People mention the Fly Lady all the time on here, and I still don't really know anything about her, but it sounds like I would like her stuff.😊
She's good for people whose houses keep getting out of hand & are feeling overwhelmed. She concentrates on building routines. She starts with baby steps--shining your sink before going to bed for example. My biggest take-away is you can do anything for 5 min.
This is the real deal, this is real life. This is my kitchen everyday, cleaning is good and take a break sometimes it's okay!
You sound very clear and louder than last time. Never thought about setting a timer. :)
I do the same give myself a timer and go! Also the lids on tupperware work for my daughter's house but I do nesting for my house. Everyone does what works best for them. Love your dog.

Hi Bonnie
Great 10 min clean. Thank you for the motivation.
Love your sweet dog 🐕 ❤

This is real life. Thanks for sharing.😊
"Bless your heart."
I'm starting to use "bless your heart" a lot more often when I see negative comments. I say it right before I delete the comment... haha!😂
Thank you for sharing Bonnie! This was my kitchen a couple of days ago but on a smaller scale!
I love videos like this. Thanks for sharing Bonnie.
I'm so glad!
Our Tupperware cupboard has lids but it’s just the two of us. And we do have only like 14 of them
Yes, dishwasher fan here! I avoid handwashing as much as possible.
This was ideal for a quick cleanup, and typical of what we all need to do several times a day. Thx, Bonnie.
I enjoyed watching this- now I want to do my own!
That was a manageable minimal mess, quick cleanup. Love your channel. ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you so much! The volume was perfect
lol. Mine can be clean at night and voila, the messy fairy came during the night! Drives me nuts.
Lol. Loved this video. Speed racer pickin up the kitchen, I can relate ahahaha. Settin the timer an givin yourself a goal is a good idea. I would enjoy tryin to beat the timer. Ahahaha. Thanks for sharin. ❤
The leftovers look tasty! Hugs, from me to you.
Great quick clean up!
I love watching your show and how kind you are. And I do like when you share your personal stuff because it helps others.
Good job!! And the sound is much better!
This is like I have to do it sometimes love you God bless you 🙏❤️
Love it! Thanks for sharing!
I totally needed this today.
My dog does the same thing, always waiting for something lickable to be placed in the dishwasher. I’m glad to see someone else rinsing out dishes prior to placing them in the dishwasher.
Hi Bonnie, your video was really encouraging. Thank you. I hate unpacking (unloading?) the dishwasher too, I thought I was the only one. 😂 ❤
It's just one extra step to getting those dirty dishes in the dishwasher. It's the worst!😅
Thanks for sharing!💕😊
Love this! Motivating!
I love it! Great content. Amazing what a few minutes can do.
I use the same method as you :)
Your dog is so cute and funny!
My dog likes to help load the dishwasher too!
Really nice kitchen Bonnie!!❤
Thank you!
great job, Bonnie! could hear you well this time. so nice. you could have gone faster if you didn't pre-rinse your dishes. if you use good detergent with a fairly new dishwasher, don't need to pre-rinse or pre-wash. i never do!!! and mine come out very clean. no one can have totally picked up and clean house all the time, unless they don't live in it! my mom worked full time and had a magnet on the fridge that said "our house is clean enough to be healthy, but dirty enough to be happy". i think that's a great quote. it was great to watch your pup watching you zoom around the kitchen too!
Loved the motivation! Also your kitchen is so lovely! So homey ❤
Thanks so much! 😊
Can hear you much better! Thanks for all you do! Love your videos.
Both have their pros and cons.
my dog does this! good to know shes normal
Love the doggie!
Awesome
God IS good!👍🙏💕
What a great reminder that it only takes a few minutes to achieve a good effect. This is real life cleaning, not kitchen makeover time. ❤
So I decided to put a timer on me for my kitchen this morning and then another timer for my bedroom. It took less than 15 in the kitchen, and less than 112 in my bedroom. Was dreading and not wanting to do anything, thanks for your help👍
This put a smile on my face.😊 Thanks so much for sharing! I'm glad you tried the timer thing.❤️
i really like your dog she or is very cute 😅😅😅😅
Don’t you love when you are honest and open with ppl nobody judges 🤷🏻♀️
Everyone is like yep that was my kitchen last week or last night
Yes!😅
You’re dog was like “awe, shucks!” Lol
😄
Thank you for being really. Some days it works to just take care of the clutter and straighten up so you can get to other things that need to be done. Get video.
I am laughing at the dog watching you fly around the kitchen
I hadn't even really noticed her reaction until people started mentioning it, so I went back and watched it and it is pretty hilarious!
I love your countertops
Thank you!
I'm not a super clean mom but I see that if something has a place, it is much easier to tidy up. Also, staying on top of it daily helps a TON. It's like brushing your hair. If you let it go too long, it is brutal to get through.
So true!
Can you tell I have young daughters? Ahahha I tell them over and over again to keep up with their hair brushing or it becomes a nightmare. Housework is the same. Lol
Real Life!
❤
Looks like mine too 😂 doesn’t take long to clean up 🧹
Lucky you - you clearly don’t have mice!
If I ever did, I would be gutting the entire house, cleaning it out, and then putting everything back.😂
I would be really unhappy to find this in the morning. I would be grumpy the rest of the day.
Suggestion for lid organization, I use napkin holders. Put two back to back using zip ties to hold together. It keeps lids upright and tidy.
That would definitely be a deterrent for leaving any food out.😂
I haven't used my microwave as a timer before, its a good idea!
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp mine manages even baking dishes ie if I've made lasagne and the sauce has stuck on around the top etc
Dana K White has made some videos about dishwashers, she said she went to visit the manufacturer and got some tips!
@ABeautifulMessExtremeCle-zl1wp
I think lots of people don't know - my friend complained hers didn't work well and she didn't know about salt or rinse aid. I gave her some to try and it works better now!!
The salt container is at the bottom of my machine under a cap about the size of my hand. You wouldn't necessarily notice it unless you're looking for it
I'm in the UK, and we do have very hard water in this area, so it's essential here. In fact, I often laugh a little at the "limescale stains" in cleaning videos because they look like my house after a week or 2!! Shiny taps? Sure, the day I clean them! 😉
There are actually settings on my machine based on water hardness (which you can find on the website for the water company), and then the machine will put the right amount of salt in for the water.
