I have a cedar top mahogany wood, Seagull coastline I particularly like the headstock
I love the headstock on the Seagull. I have always said that Yamaha makes the best electrics and Seagull makes the best acoustics for the money. A lot of bang for your buck for sure.

@@8MinuteAxe I thought I was familiar with your entire catalog, Mark, but that's one I missed. Thanks for the link. Yours is far and away the best acoustic version I've heard. Besides, Seal's, of course. But, then, he's got a couple of guitars and a piano (at least) on his... and his voice. Which makes a tough comparison for anyone all by itself. I thought yours was solid, but I couldn't help wondering what it'd look like if you'd made it a year later.

Very nice! Blackbird on a 12-string was the first song I learned to play on guitar. Showing my age and going back to 1977 for that one. It wasn't considered an oldie yet... That was 43 years ago and I still have the 12-string and I still play Blackbird on it.
Hey Jeff. I had to modify it for the 12 string. Paul usually does it with that pick and strum with the index finger to get that jangly feel. I thought doing it with a straight travis picking (many inaccurately play it that way thinking it's how Paul plays it) really brings out the 12 string feel. I'm not a huge SRV fan and this one was a little out of my element but I tried my best. :)
Great as always!.... just begun my 12 string journey. Tuning this thing is a real joy!!.... and then Tuning it again every 15 minutes is a real pleasure.
Hey Bill. I'm thinking of doing another tips video that addresses 3 things. Best pick to use, how to keep in tune, and how to apply a capo and keep in tune. What do you think? I stretch and lock all of my strings when I restring (perhaps I'll do a restring video too) and I don't have a lot of tuning issues. You also need a good tuner. I use two. I do my fine tuning with a Peterson Strobe. I did a couple of docs early on in the channel. I had an idea today that my wife and best friend shot down. I thought it would be funny to do a video of my 10 favorite youtubers and as a goof, shrink them using the editing tools and essentially capture them and take over youtube. All done in good fun and as a spoof. Both my wife and friend think the idea is really stupid. LOL. Oh well. -Mark

I am genuinely humbled by your comment and I really do appreciate the kind words so much. Last year at this time I had about 250 subs and I was averaging about 2 views a day on the channel. What a difference a year makes. My kids (I have a 10 year old son and a 10 year old step son) are wondering when I'm going to get my 100k subscriber button award from youtube. I told them it's going to take several years and a lot of luck if it ever happens. They have no idea how hard I had to work to get to 5000 and I know that for every YTber with 5000 there are a million with 50 so I don't take it lightly. Great to catch you 'live' again Mark. Unfortunately, the tree outside the window was full of screeching cockatoos, and it was a bit hard to hear! 200 odd cockys could wake the dead. They love mangos and it's mango season. Disappointing you're not getting gigs atm. Covid has been pretty much tamed over here. Only a few cases among returning travellers. The US death toll is horrifying. Almost as many deaths as the Civil War.

Yes, I enjoyed this mini concert greatly. The overdubs where you did more than one part added a lot to the songs. I also like the balloons with the trivia; they fill in information without distracting from the guitar(s) and vocals. These were excellent song choices and you covered them well. I enjoyed the video editing with multiple camera views. This may ve your best video of performances I have ever watched.

Another Beatles favorite of mine, that I think they did with a 12, was George's song, "If I Needed Someone," from the US album, "Yesterday and Today."
There's just something so captivating for me, about that song, and especially its guitar figure. I've played it many, many times, but haven't now for years. I've actually noodled it on piano, though.

Me too! From the fall of 65 until the fall of 67 their output was staggering. Three of the greatest albums in history plus the singles that weren't on the albums.
