Mow Blow Great question. IMO, if you don’t mind spending a bit more, then get the Adipower 1s. They’re going to last you a few years & their stock continually is limited. The PP3s are solid though, but I have a strong love for the OG adis. - Jake
I was a adipower 1 shoe user looking for a new shoe due to the toe box slowly forming a hole through extended use. thanks to this video, I went with the leistung 2.0s.
I sized up to 9.5 in the Powerlift 4 but still found the metal eyelets bothered me and the material was quite rigid and not that comfortable. Do you think I would prefer the Adipower 2 and should take the same size in the Adipower 2?
No idea why they went this way. If the Romaleos 3 XD drops to $80, I'll get a pair so I can rotate between my Adipower 1. Could you guys review the Antas?
Agreed! It’s such a huge change, but I do like that Adidas is trying new things and trying to innovate models. And yes, we’ll get the Antas in rotation! - Jake
This should have been its own model to compete with inov8 3xx and they should have just reengineered the toe of the adipower 1. Could have just slotted the 2 into the crazy power spot. As an oly shoe, these are cost engineered and not sufficient. It's like they superficially have many of the qualities you expect from a high-end oly shoe but are missing critical elements to make them serious for the task... That's annoying. What's most troubling is they really don't have a proper, hardcore oly shoe for the masses in the adidas lineup for the first time in forever. Leistung is really only suitable for a fraction of lifters. The thing to wait for is Romaleos 4, I am expecting shock and awe this time.
To add on to @weisi’s point, the Legacy are A LOT heavier and have a much wider toe box, while the Roms fit much more snug and feel athletic. It really comes down to what you like in a shoe. Personally, I prefer the Roms because I have narrower foot and they fit me a bit more true. However, I’ve competed in the Legacy lifters and really like them for squats. Heavier shoe + wider toe box = Legacy Lighter + more form fitting = Rom Hope that helps your choice. Reach out with any other questions! - Jake

@@Stulzun Yeah, in that case, then I'd say go a half size up. You can work with a shoe that's a tad too large with thicker socks, but if it's too tight, then you're kind of out of luck! - Jake

I'm a slight above average lifter and i'm trying to decide if I should get these ones or the adidas power perfect 3s. I'm no crossfitter and It's mainly for regular back squats. Any opinions that could help me?

A bit more, but not a ridiculous amount. I would say it's 1-2mm wider on the medial and lateral sides. The material helps though as well because it's not as rigid as the Adi's outer. Long story short, I can't promise you won't still feel a bit cramped in these. - Jake

I only own adistars 08, Adipower, legaylifter and nike roma 3xd and i have them all same size 7.5 and feels comfortable to me I didnt have to size up. but If I got zise 8 i wont be any problem since I have tried my friends shoes on 8.
So basically the Adipower is a solid weightlifting shoe, and its successor is a running shoe with a raised heel. Gotcha!

It really comes down to what you like in a shoe. Personally, I prefer the Roms because I have narrower foot and they fit me a bit more true. However, I’ve competed in the Legacy lifters and really like them for squats.
Heavier shoe + wider toe box = Legacy
Lighter + more form fitting = Rom

I read bad reviews on this shoes but is this still worth it if I only use it for squats only?
I found some at Ross for $33! For that price yes! But it’s pricey for what seems to be sort of a downgrade from the originals, which I have and love.

Power perfect 3 is a heavier more rigid shoe, I'd go for that
