  • In this one the boys welcome a brand new group of piglets at their double barn site. Then Sawyer chores the piglets and feeds them while Tork brings y'all along for sweet corn harvest, finally the boys meet up again once more to clean out the water lines.
    Welcome to it! This’ll Do Farm is a 6th generation family farm located in Southeast Iowa that is run by a father-son duo Tork and Sawyer. Sawyer and Tork are the force behind their family farm taking care of pigs, along with farming the family’s acres. Together, they promote agriculture in a positive light by recording their day-to-day life’s on the farm. Both Tork and Sawyer have a burning desire to grow the farm bigger and bigger and hope to showcase to the world what it takes to be a farmer. Come along for the ride!

    I flush the lines once a year in my barns. I don't use the blue dye. I just smell the water. .. I also run peroxide every batch through the medicaters.

    Cool! Love small pigs :) Using blue dye is really good idea and so simple. So far, I have been struggling with math (pipe diameter x length of the section to be cleaned x 4 to be rinsed using the Dosatron dispenser :/ ). You've just made my life easier, guys :) thank you

    I work in a pig barn too and unloading babies is very fun because it’s easy depending on how the barn is layer out and in our barn there are just random cubbies and it’s really annoying to pigs out of them

    Do you put the dye through the dispenser together with the CIO2, or do you put it separately? Doesn't it destroy the dispenser ? This is a food coloring?

      We load 162 in the summer and maybe 170 in the winter. Been pretty consistent at 162 for a while.

    Out of curiosity, about how many piglets can they get on a tractor trailer load?

    • @torktalks5573
      @torktalks5573 2 года назад

      Around 1200. Some trailers are built specifically for weaner pigs and might be able to haul more. Ours come on weaner/ feeder pig trailers.

    Do their tiny feet get stuck in those grids??

    • @torktalks5573
      @torktalks5573 2 года назад

      Nope. When they come in their feet are small enough that they don’t get stuck and by the time they grow bigger they’ve learned not step in the gaps.
