it was by far my favorite 2d fighter of that era. I can’t put my finger on it but it just has things street fighter and MK didn’t. I don’t know…the fighters all felt very unique, the soundtrack was slightly ahead of its time, and time travel stories have always fascinated me. The characters all being from different eras made their back stories infinitely more interesting imo. Just an all around amazing video game for its time.
This tas was insane. Its like the developers did not want you to beat their game. I had this game as a child and could never get past the first fight but I still loved the game and secret characters. Great video!
Took me a lot of tries and practice but I beat the game multiple times as a kid probably can beat it in 1 or 2 tries on hardest as an adult. And I don’t play video games anymore. The challenge is what gave the game its replay value
Fantastical TAS, indeed!!! I could use her OK. But, I never REALLY got her timing down. And honestly...even though I LOVE this game, the timing feels kinda off. I eventually mastered Jetta, Midnight, Trident, Chin Wu & Blast...the other characters REALLY took A LOT of work to get the combos & timing down. 😬😬😬 Kinda wished they would have made another one, but worked on the mechanics. 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️

I really liked the look of this game, I always thought it's kombos looked like mk's dial-a-combos. Too bad I never played it. I sure would like to see a combo video of all the characters. So far there doesn't seem to be any.
I've never seen her throw a knife forward like that. For some reason, the only knife move I ever saw her use, was the one where she jumps and throws two knives downward. Also, how come the dark champion never activates the emblem on the far left side of the room?

Eight times then a bonus match? And I thought Shao Khan was a cheap bastard. You have to fight Eternal and Dark Champion in eight back to back fights then you gotta fight him one more time. Talk about getting mulligans after every a** whoopin.
From what I remember the fight is essentially a 8 round fight, and each round he changes skills and moves, the Dark Champion fight is essentially the same thing.

I never got a chance to play this year’s back ( and thankfully I didn’t ) but this makes the three pixelated Mortal Kombat games look completely tame.

The simplistic cheating AI in these old fighting games convinced me if god forbid humans ever have to go to war with the machines we stand no chance!
